Had a Wonderful stay at Jean and Adams Beautiful home. The house is right on the lake,very clean and had everything you need. We fished on the dock and caught many fish rented there pontoon boat and was a big hit for are family. Would definitely Recommend this place.

This property was exactly what we were looking for. A quiet place on a beautiful lake where my wife could catch some fish. The property is well cared for and beautiful. The lake and views were stunning. What more can I say. Jean is easy to work with and quick to respond to questions. Will certainly consider coming back in the future.

Best VRBO We've Stayed In (to date!)

The house was very clean, nicely decorated, comfortable and the location was ideal! Jean pays attention to all of the little details, is very communicative and the house is stocked with everything you might need! The lake is gorgeous and so incredibly clean! Our young boys had a wonderful time swimming around and fishing. The place is also in a great location for hiking. Within an hour or so you can hike in the 100 Mile Wilderness, Katahdin Woods and Water National Monument and Baxter State Park. We would definitely love to come back!

Peaceful lakefront retreat

Welcoming and clean house right on the lake. Location is fantastic and house provided all the amenities one could wish. Amazing views from the family room, very functional layout. Able to use our bikes in the local road roads right off the house. Could be a little secluded for teens looking for activities around the area but for us, it was perfect. Communication was property manager was excellent, very fast response and accommodating.

Great home, great lake and great owners

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 week stay at this beautiful home on Schoodic Lake. The house is clean, well equipped with everything you need, and spacious while feeling cozy at the same time. I worked remotely for part of the trip and the hi-speed wifi was reliable and fast enough. The lake is crystal clear and the views were amazing. Excellent fishing right off the dock including a couple of large smallmouth bass, some small lake trout and plenty of sunfish. What can I say about Jean and Adam. They were friendly, gracious and incredibly responsive to our needs. Jean provided lots of recommendations for restaurants and other activities. Plenty to do in the area despite it feeling remote. Can't recommend this this place enough!

Wonderful and peaceful lake getaway

This is our second stay at this property but the first time in the summer where you can really take advantage of the beautiful and clean Lake Schoodic. We enjoyed easy access to the boat ramp, swimming and walks in the neighborhood. The house is very functional and Jean was welcoming with good restaurant recommendations. We mostly enjoyed the quiet and tranquil lake environment and took advantage of the bbq and deck most days. We look forward to returning soon.

Gorgeous and serene

The best feature of the house is the wall of windows facing Lake Schoodic. It was silent and beautiful; perfect for anyone wanting to disconnect and relax. However, should you need to connect, there is high quality internet, and the grocery store is just 15 minutes away.

Beautiful & Peaceful

We had a great stay in Maine! The house was very clean. It was quiet on the lake - truly a great place to unwind. The water was crystal clear for swimming - the best I've ever experienced. We did bring our dogs, and they did have a little trouble navigating the rocks to enter and exit the water, as they were a little slippery, but they managed. It might be hard for smaller dogs. There is a big grassy yard for playing and fun. The deck is a great place to read and enjoy the lake views. The owner was great and had great communication. Her daughter even bakes homemade bread which was delicious - I absolutely recommend buying some! The bed was comfortable on the main floor (didn't try any others). The kitchen was well stocked. Overall, it was a great stay!

Heaven on earth...

When I booked this home for a surprise for my husband, I thought the pictures online were amazing, but when we actually arrived, we were blown away! It was everything described and more. Immaculate, cozy (despite its size), spacious, fully equipped kitchen, which is so wonderful if you love to cook like me, and the list goes on. We spent most of our time out on the dock enjoying beautiful Schoodic lake. This lake is so clean, clear and extremely quiet. We kayaked, watched the sun rise and set, went on a pontoon ride, (courtesy of our friends) swam, and took long walks, it was wonderful! There is a large TV in the basement, but we never turned it on. The weather was so nice we spent most of our time outside. The camps are conveniently separated by beautiful trees so we had plenty of privacy and distance. We met Jean & Adam (the owners)the day we arrived as they were returning a corn hole game for us to enjoy. My husband ran into Adam one day at the grocery store and one of the first things he said was " Are you enjoying your stay? Do you need anything?" Very kind,attentive people, but also extremely respectful of our privacy. We didn't end up having company, but there is enough room for 6, and that's without feeling cramped, plenty of space for everyone. We would highly recommend this beautiful place AND the lake to anyone who has enjoyed or has yet to enjoy, a gorgeous Maine summer. I would give it 100 stars if I could! Thank you Jean & Adam for an absolutely Wonderful week!

60th Birthday Vacation

We rented the cottage for a family vacation and 60th Birthday. The cottage is very clean, Cozy and more than I expected. Swimming is great although no beach area for children to play. Rocky shoreline as well as lake bottom, I recommend wearing water shoes . The cottage has only one bathroom which is stated but can be challenging with six guests, a half bath in lower level would be great addition along with curtains or blinds for privacy in lower level. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again.
