Thank you for being such a wonderful guest. We enjoyed having you all so much. We know you treated it like your home, and we appreciate that more than you know. Thank you for understanding when quirky things did come up as it is an authentic 1920s beach cottage. We can’t wait for your return next year and know that you will be very welcomed. Including little Benny. We are here until then if you have any questions with love, Rita .
We stayed at Rita’s cottage while moving into a new home. It was really comfortable and had great space for our dog, too. Cottage charm with modern amenities!
We enjoyed our stay at Rita’s home . The rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated. It was just a short drive to the beach . Also close to restaurants, grocery store and shopping. Rita was very thoughtful and responded quickly to our questions.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. We loved having you and hope that you will be back soon. We do try to treat us like family and I’m glad that you noticed that. We are here for your return to Vero Beach . With love, Rita .
Charming, lovely outdoor patio space, and close to everything, including the beach. Rita was helpful and great with prompt communication. Very enjoyable!
The house was adorable and so nice. The place itself was set up perfectly. Everything you needed was there like a hotel. I wish we had more time to spend in the house but we were out and about at locations so close to this house. Definitely staying again because we have family in the area.
Rita was very on point and communicative got all our needs. House was adorable and pleasantly decorated. King bed would be great for our next visit! We enjoyed our week and will be back next February
Beautiful home and wonderful host!
Great communication and instructions- The Lemoncello was so nice and felt like home.
Thank you so much for sharing this with me and my family - we will definitely re-book!
Very cool 1920s home and cottage. Kitchen and bathroom were well outfitted. Shaded by big trees and extremely well outfitted including great porch areas around the whole house! Back yard has a most wonderful lounge area with great seating for kicking back with coffee or drinks!
Lovely spot shower is a challenge number of guests to sleep is inaccurate outside could use a little cleanup!

Hi Valerie, we appreciate your review and definitely always appreciate feedback back. We are unsure, however, how the number of guests to sleep is in accurate in our description. We have two queen bedrooms which is 4 ppl. Then the Futon in the Casita which is a full size; so, that is 1-2ppl and the large L-shaped couch in the living room which is 1 person potentially. This is exactly how it is listed in the description. Please let me know how to better explain that because we certainly don’t want others to feel mid-led.
We hope your stay was comfortable and enjoyable otherwise even though the majority of your party wasn’t able to make it for New Years! We hope the Charcuterie and Champagne helped you ring it in!

House is exactly as it looks. It’s within walking distance to plenty of things, and the beach is a quick jump over the bridge. I was in town while my son was at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex. This house was incredibly convenient to the facility. Everything you need for your stay and at a great value. Highly recommend this charming cottage. Rita is great to work with too.
Cottage is old and homey which makes one comfortable, or at least me. Nice and roomy, 2 bedrooms, living room and kitchen. Casita and particularly the covered patio area was a bonus and under which I did much reading. The location was great for me, some may find the railroad noise a bit annoying but for me, no problem. Price was great and I would book again. So, yes I would recommend this location for a relaxing stay in Vero.

House was clean but outside looked overgrown. At night we had a large four legged visitor

I really appreciate your review.. However idid let you know prior to your check in that someone would be coming to do some yard work since we had just had Hurricane come through. And that did happen midway in your stay. I really do hate that you were dissatisfied with that but I also asked you to contact me multiple times if you had any concerns or questions and unfortunately you did not reach out to me. We really try our best to make sure our quests are informed, provided for like family, and comfortable. We take pride in this and we are disappointed that we fell short of your expectation. We appreciate your candor but hope that you would give us another opportunity to provide a better stay.
Cottage was very clean and very well furnished. Lots of extras to help you through your day in the kitchen and throughout the house. Yard was largest for walking my dog. A very quiet neighborhood with restaurants close by. One side of the mattress in the large bedroom has collapsed and you slide off, everything else was just fine
Rita is a wonderful host, making her guests feel like family with her personal communication and touches! The cottage evokes warming memories of a by-gone era. We loved the casita porch and found ourselves sitting out there & enjoying the beautiful weather daily. Making our meals was made more enjoyable with the fresh herbs growing right outside the kitchen door! The outside patio was inviting and very private! This is a secret gem!
My family (toddler, 4 adults, 2 dogs) had an awesome stay at Rita's cottage and casita! The location was amazing, and the home has every amenity we could want.... and a mini bar! The decorations were so cute, the place was clean, and communication was crystal clear and fast! The nearby train kept my husband awake in the casita, but it didn't bother anyone in the house. But he's a light sleeper and the casita was not insulated. We all enjoyed the porch and patio. Highly recommend this place!!!
Beautiful home but…property was not cleaned outside, trees falling on my car. One bedroom smelled like dog. Not prepared for Florida storms arriving aka trimming trees. Not stocked with toilet paper. Paper towels etc. Would not stay again

I’m very sad to see this review 3 months after your stay. Originally your review was quite good, until I asked for money for damages from your dogs, which I have never had to do before. And, which was not paid. I really want to be able to continue to offer for pets to stay since they are part of our family-but we also have some house rules and need to protect the property to uphold our standard so other guests can enjoy it as well.
Unfortunately, you never said anything about limbs etc. with your car. We do regularly trim and upkeep the property but can never know when higher winds and or storms will come through, since we are so close to the ocean.
In addition, I know our cottage is extremely clean at all times because Maria, our cleaning gal has high standards herself! Plus you never said anything pertaining to this, because she absolutely would have returned to make sure all was good. This is why we do charge a $50 dog fee because of extra cleaning and disinfecting we do after pets have been in the home.
We absolutely should stick several rolls of paper towels and toilet paper as well as many other items many VRBO owners do not provide such as coffee, olive oil, spices, laundry detergent etc because we treat our guests like family and how we would like to be treated as well. Since your stay was 18 nights, perhaps you ran through what we originally provided.
Unfortunately you had two dogs and not just the one you first declared. We had to replace a rug, that was not salvageable, as well has some bedding due to dog pee. I’m sorry if you feel your stay was not to your liking, however we always welcome questions, concerns and requests through-out your stay to make sure you are comfortable and happy.
Take care & Happy New Year
About the host

Hello! We hail from the beautiful Mountain State of WV. Who wouldn’t want a house in the mountains and a cottage at the beach. Lemoncello Guesthouse is my alter ego—I can have fun & mix it up with eclectic decor. I love the authenticity of the cottage and the bright airy rooms and courtyard. I love treating each guest as an extension of family. WV May be pretty north of Florida but we are all about Southern Charm. Welcome to our lovely home at the beach. I’m so happy to be a part of each persons journey and story. What an honor, truly.
Why they chose this property
Lemoncello is located in a mixed use area. So I love that one neighbor is a church with a phenomenal coffeeshop located inside. And other neighbors are small businesses that keep a close eye on our cottage. They are wonderful stewards of our city. The police department is a hop-skip down the road and travel a lemon Avenue multiple times a day as a shortcut to the station. It helps us feel safe and watched-over. We are located so close to any amenity you can imagine including 5-7 mins to the beach. You can walk to historic downtown to grab ice cream, go to the park, have a great dinner or sit in a courtyard. There is also yoga and Pilates.
What makes this property unique
Our cottage is an authentic 1920 beach cottage. The architecture is so unique and you know these walls could tell stories as one of the original structures in Vero Beach. Plus is decorated so cute eith lots of textures and colors—bound to make you smile at the end of a long day at the beach.
