Visiting the golden circle

Stay was fine and hosts are friendly. However the electricity installation would need to be revisited.

Cute little cabin in a very quiet, remote location. Well-equipped but very small (there’s barely enough space to walk around the beds) so I wouldn’t recommend it for more than four people. Guests are supposed to clean before leaving but clearly, not everyone does and the bathroom was filthy when we arrived. Bad surprise!

Positiv: - bequeme Betten- Einsame Lage - Ausblick - gut Erreichbarkeit der SehenswĂŒrdigkeiten im Golden Circle Negativ - wenig Stauraum bzw. Ablage- und AufhĂ€ngemöglichkeiten - bei schönem Wetter ausreichend, bei schlechtem Wetter keine Möglichkeit Sachen zu trocknen - sehr kleines Bad (auf der Toilette sitzend kann man Duschen und sich am Waschbecken die ZĂ€hne putzen)- sehr hellhörig und nur SchiebetĂŒren (man sollte schon sehr vertraut miteinander sein, da PrivatsphĂ€re vor allem auf der Toilette nicht möglich ist.)- KĂŒchenausstattung sehr spartanisch - Warmwasser nur lauwarm

"Brandneues Ferienhaus" im ramponierten Zustand

EingangstĂŒr schließt nicht dicht, vertikal 4mm Spalt. Möbel im Wohnbereich in desolatem Zustand, fleckig und kaputt. Dekokissen speckig. WC,Dusche und Waschbecken auf 1qm! Konsole ĂŒber Waschbecken, Handtuchhaken und Duschvorhangstange hĂ€ngen wegen ausgerissener DĂŒbel. "Bad"schiebetĂŒr verzogen und lĂ€sst sich dadurch nicht schließen. Abwasser wird durch den Gulli im nebengelegenen Schlafraum rausgedrĂŒckt. Offene DrĂ€hte durch fehlende Steckdose in diesem Schlafraum. Fernseher ging nicht. KĂŒchenausstattung spartanisch. Abfluß der SpĂŒle lĂ€uft aus. KĂŒhlschranktĂŒr hĂ€ngt. Wir empfehlen dieses Quartier auf keinen Fall weiter!!!

Nous avons passĂ© 3 nuits chez Ida Ida nous a bien expliquĂ© par mail comment trouver sa maison. 3 nuits au calme avec dĂ©paysement total, c’est exactement ce que nous cherchions. Maison bien conçue et bien Ă©quipĂ©e, tout l’espace est utilisĂ©, linge de maison fournit, il ne manquait rien, vrai petit nid douillet Petit moins : petits travaux dans le jardin pas fini Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir Merci beaucoup Ida de nous avoir accueilli

Gßte trop petit eg mal adapté pour une famille

Gite trĂšs bien situĂ© pour visiter les sites du cercle d'or. En revanche, l'annonce nindique pas sa taille. Il est trĂšs petit pour une famille car on a l'impression de vivre en caravane. Et il tres mal adaptĂ© en cas de pluie, frĂ©quente en Islande, car nous avons galĂ©rĂ© pour faire sĂ©cher nos vĂȘtements. Je ne recommande pas ce gite pour une famille. Bonne journĂ©e

Herrliche Ruhe

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal in diese HĂŒtte und haben uns vor allem wegen Ihrer Lage und die Ruhe der Umgebung erneut dafĂŒr entschieden. Die HĂŒtte ist recht klein und man muss IntimitĂ€t gewohnt sein, wenn man sich wohl fĂŒhlen möchte. Wir wĂŒrden den Aufenthalt fĂŒr maximal drei Personen empfehlen. Das ist aber o.k. Schön wĂ€ren mehr Möglichkeiten, etwas aufzuhĂ€ngen, vor allem wenn die Kleidung einmal nass geworden ist. Die Sitzgelegenheiten sind etwas wackelig. Insgesamt waren wir mit unserem Aufenthalt aber sehr zufrieden und kommen vielleicht auch noch einmal wieder.

Schöne einsam

Wir waren fĂŒr drei NĂ€chte im Haus. Leider ist einiges schon sehr gebraucht hier besonders das Bad, jeder Halter oder Ablage hĂ€ngt auf "halb acht" Die Betten sind gut. Wir haben hier das erste mal erlebt, dass es kein Toilettenpapier gibt, in jeder anderen Unterkunft war das kein Problem. Kann mir einen Aufenthalt zu sechst nicht vorstellen, optimal wĂ€re es zu zweit/zu dritt.

Wunderbare Ruhe in Top-Lage

Das HĂ€uschen liegt mitten in einem weitlĂ€ufigen Wiesen- und Weidengebiet und da die nĂ€chste Straße nur in der Ferne zu sehen ist, ist es sehr ruhig, obwohl die Wiesen voller Leben sind. Von hier aus kann man den gesamten SĂŒdwesten Islands erkunden, wir haben es sogar bis zum Vatnajökull geschafft. Allerdings ist das dann eine gewaltige Autotour. Die HĂŒtte ist fĂŒr drei Leute gerĂ€umig genug, schön warm und trocken. In der KĂŒche ist alles notwendige vorhanden und auch sonst ist die Ausstattung o.k. WĂ€re das Bad ein wenig grĂ¶ĂŸer, hĂ€tten wir auch fĂŒnf Sterne gegeben. Wir kommen vielleicht einmal wieder! Familie O, Berlin

Leuk blokhutje, redelijk centraal gelegen.

Wij hebben 4 nachten met 3 personen in deze blokhut geslapen. Ik moet er niet aan denken om er met meer personen te verblijven. Wc en douche zeer klein, maar wel heerlijke warme straal. Matras vond ik slecht (rugpijn), maar dat is altijd persoonlijk, wel 2 slaapkamers. Kookgelegenheid was prima. Prijs - kwaliteit verhouding vond ik dus niet zo goed.

klein huisje midden in de natuur

vlotte regeling en contact met de eigenaar. Alles was aanwezig in het huisje en netjes bij aankomst. De badkamer is wat benepen, vooral de lavabo had iets groter gemogen (anderszijds wel goed gebruik gemaakt van de beperkte oppervlakte van het geheel). Extra haakjes of schabben zijn altijd welkom. In totaal zouden er 6 personen kunnen logeren maar dit lijkt ons iets overdreven. Vooral bij slechter weer zou het dan wel eens drukkend kunnen worden.

More like glamping - felt like camping in a hut

It is hard to imagine six people in this hut - we only just had enough space for two of us. Very little space or furniture and no storage space at all. The 'cabin' was equipped with essentials needed for a short stay. Thankfully the weather was good for most of our stay, so we simply came here to sleep. Right next to the cabin another property is being built which means outside looks a bit rough like a building site - not quite as pretty as the pictures. The TV didn't work and things like the one shelf in the shower room over the sink was glass and at a slant, so everything slid off it. The shower was hot, but the drainage didn't work very well, so you were left sitting on the toilet ( right next to the shower) with shower water on the floor around your feet. The shower itself was fixed at a set position and shot the water at the shower curtain at a height suitable for someone who was tall. So in summary, this was an OK base for a short stay, but everything has been done cheaply - no frills or extra touches. There was no welcome information pack ( we had no idea how the hob worked), no nice personal touches that made this feel like anything more than a cabin in a field surrounded by electric fencing. All the other properties we have rented through Homeway have been excellent and we absolutely loved being in Iceland.

Gut gelegen um viele Stationen anzufahren, die Ausstattung war in Ordnung. Wie man es zu sechs auf den 25 qm aushĂ€lt ist mir ein RĂ€tsel... Wir waren zu dritt, das ging noch. Erstaunlich aber wie das HĂŒttchen einem Sturm von gefĂŒhlt WindstĂ€rke 12 standhĂ€lt ;-)

Wc en douche in 1 kleine ruimte, geen kast of opbergruimte en kamers waar je amper in kunt. Wel gezellig en qua locatie fantastisch. Heel mooie regio.
