This rental is ideally located two blocks from the shore, and two minutes to shops, restaurants, galleries, and arcades in downtown Seaside, just a half-mile away, where you'll find plenty of parking. Seaside's landmark Promenade (a mile-long avenue running parallel to the beach) is just footsteps away. Tillamook Head National Recreation Trail is only two miles away for hiking, and the town of Seaside hosts a number of events, like the Kitefliers Association Convention in October.

A beach house with character.

I loved staying in this house. If you like slick and new, this may not be the house for you. But if you love an older house with real wood and an old fashioned vibe, this is the place for you. The kitchen is well appointed, the bedrooms are cozy, and the yard is beautiful. Plenty of room for a large family.

A great older house in Seaside!

We had a great time staying at the Governor's House. This is an old house with tons of character (even comes with the "old house" smell, but we like houses with character, and it was perfect with us. Large bedrooms for everyone in our family, a huge living room space, a small but efficient kitchen, and a very large yard. One evening we had our extended family over (about 22 people in all) and there was space for everyone. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit Seaside!

The yard was beautiful, but we did not use. All windows had storm windows attached. There were problems that were timely attended with SMS to Vicasa. Couches are old and uncomfortable. Good ofstreet parking AND a 2-car garage.

Pros: Close to the beach, restaurants and shops! Living room, deck and backyard were spacious. Cons: Old dishwasher (although seemed to work), small closed off kitchen, not very clean (Vacasa team was great about getting this remedied, however who wants to deal with all of that when you have a 4pm check-in and are traveling with 9 people). Overall we had a good experience, enjoyed our time, and Vacasa was great.

Perfect for families!

Great location and spacious home with plenty of room for everyone! Our family of 5 (2 adults, 2 teens and a 9yr old) had a blast staying in this charming older home. Within walking distance to all the shops (less than 10mins), and just a couple blocks from the beach! We loved staying here and hope to come back next summer!

Lots of space & great location

We loved the antique feel of the home, of you're prepared for that then you will too. The location was great, just blocks from the beach, promenade & shops. Enjoyed having the space, cooking in the kitchen and being able to play games at the table. Beds were comfortable too.

Great old home with fantastic yard.

Showed up with 10 folks 6 adults 4 kids. This grand old beauty was able to sleep us all just fine. The yard is gigantic and the kids played hide and seek all day long. Great location quick to the beach and Broadway. All sorts of usable items from kitchen and games to beach items. She showing some wear, this grand old dame, but for a vacation she was perfect.

My grandchildren think the house is haunted. They were scared to sleep in their room. You can hear everyone walking. The house creaked. There was lots of room for our large family. The yard is very nice and fenced.

Quiet get away

Large older house, that can accommodate ten people easily. Very clean and close to beach and shopping. This house would be great for large family’s with kids! Nice large patio and beautiful yard. Property had everything we needed. One shortcoming the gas stove was missing the fuel line so we didn’t get to grill.
