Spacious 3-story home located just 4 blocks to the South End Beach Pavilion. Ideal for families, this home features 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an open floor plan cook’s kitchen and family room, a bonus 3rd floor playroom and an outdoor shower. Enjoy every meal on the sunny back deck just off the kitchen, complete with grill. Or, sip your morning coffee and read the paper on the covered front porch or balcony off the master bedroom. Kitchen is well stocked. Large comfortable sofas, flat screen TVs and wireless internet access. Ceiling fans in most rooms and central a/c throughout. Detached 2-car garage and plenty of off street parking.
Rental includes 5 beach badges and a locker at the South End Beach Pavilion, stocked with beach chairs and sand toys.


Spring Lake: Spring Lake is a lovely, family-friendly town. Everything is within walking distance to our house - beach, train, town, playgrounds, tennis courts, ice-cream parlors, etc. The people of Spring Lake - residents and vacationers - are friendly and courteous. The stores are charming and sophisticated. The beaches are clean, the waves are great. The playground is great for kids of all ages and is well shaded for the hot summer months. It's hard to imagine a more pleasant place to spend some family time together.

Our family rented in Spring Lake for two years and we simply fell in love with the place! As homeowners now, we understand what renters are looking for and will do our best to accommodate your needs. Please don't hesitate to ask.

Our home was built in 2003, and newly furnished in 2011. We make upgrades and improvements every year.

Loved it!

We had such a delightful week @ this great house in Spring Lake! The house had everything we needed and more! Lots of space to spread out too. The rooms are comfortable and the house is well cared for. We especially LOVED the outdoor shower! We also especially loved our daily walks and bike rides to the beach-four short blocks! We have wonderful memories of our time there this summer! Thanks!

Excellent Location in Spring Lake.

The house location is amazing - a short walk to the pond, the beach, into town and to the train station. It really gave us a lot of freedom to do the things we wanted to, including a quick train trip to NYC for a show. The house layout was great and the backyard was relatively private and well-landscaped. The use of the beach/pool passes was fantastic - the kids really enjoyed the pool. We had a few issues on the trip which were quickly resolved, when possible, by the owner. The house does need some minor maintenance, but it was late in the summer and I know with a steady stream of renters, it's hard to get in to do those things. The bathroom shower doors could use a good scrub as well. But in general, it was a nice house and we had a restful stay.

Family-friendly, comfortable and functional home

Comfortable home made for a wonderful week in Spring Lake! Kelly’s house is larger than it appears in pictures and the layout was functional for our multigenerational group. Second floor laundry, bonus playroom on the 3rd floor, outdoor shower, wonderful deck and grill, and an open kitchen/living room gave everyone room to spread out or come together. Kelly was terrific to deal with. She was communicative, proactive and very clear on expectations and resources to enjoy our time in her home. The home is 4+ blocks to the beach, but it was an easy walk. It’s a straight shot to the south end pavilion, which has a great pool. The beach locker was very convenient so we didn’t have to schlep stuff. Our kids (ages 6, 8, and 10) made the walk every day without complaint, stroller or wagon. We’ve rented at the shore before, and this was one of our most comfortable stays.

Great House and Location

We enjoyed spending time with family in this comfortable and spacious house. Close to the beach and town - we were able to walk every where. We look forward to making more memories there next year!

Perfect in every way

House was amazing! Pristine, spacious, close to beach and very accommodating. The owner was very considerate and thoughtful about everything and made our stay feel like we were at our own home. My young children even remarked about beautiful the house is and how it feels like home to them (this was before seeing the bonus room on the third floor!) We spend a week in Spring Lake annually and we certainly found our summer rental to continue to make memories at - just as long as the dates can continue to align! You will not be disappointed. Thank you so much Kelly for a “practically perfect stay, in every way” !

This was a wonderful, spacious home – large enough for a multi generational family. We enjoyed our stay very much. We appreciate the accommodations the owner helped us with, the ready answers to our questions and the quality of the rental. The children loved the proximity of the beach to town as well as the basketball hoop. The long dining table brought us all together for games and laughter. Relaxing, spacious home perfect for families

We just had the most perfect family vacation at this lovely home. Every detail worked so well for our families (4 kids total): the third floor playroom stocked with toys, the beautiful deck for grilling, the backyard with gates to keep the kids from going down the driveway, the beach badges and locker at the pavilion… The kids loved the new water slide at the beachside pool, the walk to town to get ice cream, the shaded playground. Spring Lake is a quiet, peaceful town, and this house gave us the best experience. Kelly is a pleasure to work with and communicates all check-in info so that you feel excited and ready for your trip. Highly recommend!!

Great summer vacation!

Amazing location for a perfect family summer getaway. Super convenient- the beach locker and access to pool/beach with the passes provided by the owner made for a very easy beach experience with a big family. Highly recommend!

Summer 2020

We had an exceptional vacation at this wonderful home. Kelly was very informative which helped us to prepare for the trip. We knew that she was only a phone call away if we needed anything. First and foremost is the location. Just a few blocks from the beach, Spring Lake, Wreck pond and the Sunday Times ice cream shop. The neighborhood is quiet, so it was easy to relax on the outdoor deck after a day of sun and fun on the beach. The spacious house has a very convenient layout and more than enough room for our family of 5. Everything was in working order and it was well equipped. The locker at the South pavilion made it easy for us to store our beach supplies so we did not need to bring them back and forth from the house. Lastly, the pricing was very reasonable considering the home, location and the other rental listings in the area.

This was the ideal beach house for our family.

What a wonderful SL vacation spot! This property has all the amenities one needs to have a great family vacation. The beach passes with pool access and the locker on the boardwalk really come in handy and make going to the beach super convenient. The house has an outdoor shower, in addition to three indoor showers and two tubs, which is great for cleaning up the kids after the beach. The deck, grill, yard, and basketball net make the outdoor spaces fun for everyone. The interior of the house is clean, spacious, and beautiful for family dinners and relaxing after the beach. The bonus third floor with play room was super fun for the kids. Grandkids aged 18 mos. to 17 years had a fabulous time here. It was a truly unforgettable vacation, and the house played a big part because it was so spectacular. I also appreciated receiving my security deposit back promptly after we checked out. We would definitely consider returning to 412 Salem. Thanks!

Fantastic week in Spring Lake.

We loved our stay in Spring Lake. The house was beautiful – nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable. It was the perfect space for 4 couples with young kids. We had plenty of room for big dinners and the kids had plenty of room to run around and “be kids.” The location of the house was ideal. Only 4 blocks from the beach, it was a short 10 minute walk to the water, even with kids and gear in tow. The owner, Kelly, was great to work with - helpful and accommodating. If you’re visiting the Jersey Shore, check out this house- you will be happy you did!

AMAZING BEACH HOUSE!!!!

Where do I begin? The owner is fabulous, very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with! The house is FABULOUS! It is SO spacious inside. Everything is updated and gorgeous. Decor is lovely, house was immaculate upon arrival. Wonderful to have a garage for beach stuff and bikes. The walk to the beach is a BREEZE! I am disabled and walk with canes. It took me 15 minutes but so easy! I walked to the beach every day. I can not say enough good things about this house. Book your vacation today!

Love, love, loved it!

We rented this house at the end of July, 2014 and were very, very pleased with the whole experience. I've been renting down the Jersey Shore for 10+ years in Manasquan, Belmar, and Long Beach Island and by far this was the best beach house of them all! Big and spacious, we had a lot of people and we never felt crowded. The house had everything we needed right down to the blender for tropical frozen drinks! The master bedroom is HUGE and had a small nook adjacent to it to watch tv or to put a blow up bed for a child. The other bedrooms were very well kept and spacious. My 3 kids loved the bonus room upstairs with all the toys, my kids said immediately, "This is the BEST BEACH HOUSE EVER!" We knew it was 4 blocks from the beach, but we gave up location for a more spacious house in our price range. The walk is a quick 5-10 minute walk, depending on how fast you walk. The bathrooms, pavillion (with food) and the pool are right at the end of the street. The kids loved the pool more than the ocean! You can also drive to the beach and park for free if you get there early enough, you will get a great spot. We adored the town with its cute shops and cafes. And there is a giant playground near town. Kelly was a dream to work with and even accomodated me when I left 2 personal bags behind after we checked out of the house. She arranged a time to meet and I received my bags back with no problem. I highly recommend renting this beach house!

Absolutely the most perfect beach house!

Our son and daughter in law got married in Spring Lake on June 1, 2013. We rented the house from Thursday to Thursday (thank you Kelly!) This is a spectacular home. We hosted the rehearsal dinner and a day after brunch...We could not have been more comfortable. The house had everything we needed. After the festivities, we had beautiful, relaxing days at the beach and on the deck. Many of my fondest wedding memories are from this lovely home!

Exceeded our expectations

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a crazy hot week and loved that we were only 4 blocks from the beach (spent a ton of time in the water!). Spring Lake town center was a short walk away, too. The house had everything we needed - a grill, a basketball hoop, a well stocked kitchen, comfy couches to sprawl out on after a long day, lots of open spaces if we wanted to hang together - and 3 floors of rooms if we wanted time to nap or read or watch our own show on TV. Beautifully decorated, too. Kelly was a doll. We'll be back!

Great Stay, Great Place!

We had an awesome time on our trip to Spring Lake. It was a family reunion, so the house was full, but it never felt crowded. The first floor rooms were spacious with hard wood floors throughout, and included a living room, dining room, powder room with shower, family room with large flat screen, and gourmet kitchen, which was fully stocked. The second floor had 4 good-sized bedrooms and 2 baths, and the third floor had a giant playroom and bedroom, which were great for kids of any age. In addition, there was a spacious back deck with an outside shower, which was perfect after a day at the beach. Kelly also provided 5 beach badges and a locker stocked with chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, and an umbrella. That was really convenient! We were thoroughly impressed with the house and amenities, as were all the people who came to visit during our stay. In addition, Kelly was extremely helpful and professional, as we had a few unusual requests for her. Thanks for a wonderful trip! We would definitely come back again!

Perfect Vacation House

I took my 3 young boys for a week in July and had a fantastic time. The house is beautiful, spacious and very close to the beach. The owner, Kelly, is incredibly helpful and prepared us well for our stay. My kids wanted to stay at the house and not go back to our home at the end of the week! Kelly has a fully loaded playroom with toys for every age. The house is beautifully decorated but very comfortable. We will definitely be back next year!

The Perfect Relaxation House for a Large Group

This is a fantastic house! It is beautiful, spacious, clean and Kelly and her family have provided all the amenities you need to make a trip to the beach enjoyable. We had a group of 12 stay there for three nights. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep. When we weren't at the beach, which is only a few blocks away, we were relaxing on the back deck grilling and playing basketball in the driveway. Spring Lake is a great town if you are looking for a quiet place to relax. It is entirely residential but close enough to places like Parker House in Sea Girt that you have options for going out to get food and drinks. And, it is easy to get there from New York City. Thanks for a great place, Kelly!

I grew up in Summit, New Jersey, and after periods of living in NC, NYC, NH and even London, I have found myself back home. I currently live in Chatham, NJ with my husband and 2 boys. Some of our happiest family memories are in our house in Spring Lake.

Why they chose this property

After renting in Spring Lake, we fell in love with the town and the beaches and decided to buy. 412 Salem Ave is the perfect house for us. With 5 bedrooms and 3 baths, we can comfortably accommodate our family plus visitors, which we often have. The 4 blocks to the beach is just short enough to walk, and just long enough for some of the sand to drop off before going inside. And if not - there's an outdoor shower! It's also an easy walk or bike ride to town for coffee, scones and homemade donuts, and the playground, where we've spent hours with our kids.

What makes this property unique

Our house will accommodate all sorts of travelers, but we typically rent to large families with kids. The grill and deck in the back allow parents to prep meals while kids safely play in the driveway/yard. There's a basketball hoop for endless hours of shooting. Similarly, the open kitchen overlooks a family room with a giant sectional couch if folks want to be inside. Bedrooms are a comfortable retreat for sleeping off a day at the beach. And the third floor bonus room provides an extra play space that the kids love.
