We stayed here as two families with 6 kids total and a range of ages. EVERYONE had an amazing time. It was quiet enough to feel like our own oasis and close enough to the San Diego sites that we didn’t have far to drive. The hosts were responsive and the space was clean and welcoming. The pool was a huge highlight, the entire backyard took us away from our busy schedules and allowed us to relax, enjoy, and make some much needed memories.

The property is an oasis in a crowded neighborhood with some poorly maintained streets. My friends said 'that's just how SoCal is', so I'll believe them. The backyard area was amazing and very well maintained, and in general the house served as a great base for exploring San Diego. The interior was almost as nice as the pool area, and the dedicated ice machine was much appreciated. If you're going with a full group be aware the smallest bedroom does not have its own AC unit (or windows), so that one got hot if you closed the door. Linens in every room were excellent, better than I have at home.We were worried it was going to be 'out of town', but so long as you're not in rush hour nothing was more than 30 minutes away. The owner does store a box truck and boat trailer on the front of the property, but there was still room for two cars in the driveway and they were never in our way.

The property management was surprisingly poor. The kitchen was disorganized, there were damaged cutting boards, no napkins or food containers (lots of tops though), less than 1/2 a roll of paper towels, a total of 6 coffee cups though we were a family of 8, and 4 wine glasses. The upstairs bedroom sink water didn't get hot unless you first turned on the shower. The pool was terrific. We were willing to pay extra to have the pool heated; we just didn't know that advance notification to heat the pool was required. The beds were comfortable. The closet spaces were very generous and there were plenty of hangers (would suggest adding some hangers with clips). There were also dressers which had great space.

Great house!

We had a great stay! There were 2 families of 4 and the kids loved the pool and spa! There was enough room for all of us and the beds were very comfortable. The house was stocked and the laundry was very useful! Location was also close to many sites we saw (zoo, Petco park, Coronado). Hosts were very communicative and helpful! Thanks again for a great stay!

We had a family of 7 stay for the weekend and it was spacious. We created great memories and are always humbled to have shared moments together no matter where we go. Definitely a mirage in the middle of a mid-scale neighborhood that carries the ambiance of a cleaned up version of Tijuana. There was a noticeable smell as we walked in and asked owner if we could purchase plug-ins...we did. The outside was the focal point and where we were able to BBQ and kids spent the majority of their days swimming. There was a noticeable issue with plumbing, as the water left sinks upstairs very slowly and the lower bathtub never emptied. We contacted the owner again to send over pictures regarding the issue. Overall, you can definitely make the best of your stay, but this is not a beach front stay.

Great home for our family vacation

I can’t say enough good things about our stay at this property! Everything from checking into the house, cleanliness, location and communications with the property manager were all superb! This house is perfect location to anything you wanna do in San Diego. The backyard was perfect for when the kids were napping, the adults could lounge and relax! Can’t wait to book another stay at this property.
