This was our second stay at The cottage-we appreciate its location in Northfield and the fact that it is tucked behind the main road and is quite peaceful-parking is easy as is check in/check out. Very responsive host. Thank you!
We stayed here with family over a weekend while in town for a wedding, and had a great experience! The property & neighborhood were quiet and beautiful. The home had everything we needed! Thanks for a great stay!
This place is great! Super clean and cozy. Perfect quiet location. Wish I’d found it earlier!

The Cottage was perfect for our family while visiting our Ole! The house is cute, welcoming and had everything we needed including great tea and a whistling teapot! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
This was a great little cottage for myself and co-worker while we were in town for a work.

Hi Kelly, we wonder if you might have given us a 1star review by mistake so we wanted to check in. We enjoyed hosting you and if there was a problem with your stay we would love to learn how we could improve in the future.
Very comfortable stay while visiting Carleton, everything easy. Bonus that there were no heavy scents used for cleaning (I am sensitive to fragrance). Glad we stayed here and hope to visit again
Sweet location and cute little place within a few minutes drive of St Olaf. I stayed here during move out with my son. Unfortunately it rained quite a bit so we couldn't enjoy the yard and the patio. Would love to stay again if I can work out the dates.
I love the closed off cozy feel of the property. The house was spotless and there is an amazing couch! Our host helped find a place for our dog to stay while we spent the day on the Carleton campus with our daughter. Sammy (dog) and I spent many enjoyable days going to the Dundas dog park and hiking in the Nerstrand Big woods park.
This place sure had the cozy vibe going on! Very cute and comfortable little cottage. I felt it had everything we needed for a quick girls weekend in the adorable Northfield town! I even tried some of the sweet tea from Jerusalem (what a fun unexpected treat)!
We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere the house provided. Also a happy surprise that was unmentioned in the listing was the basket of old books and toys in the basement, our boys loved curling up on the couch in the little downtime we had to read Dr. Seuss books.
All perfect. Just want to alert owners that the barbecue propane (?) seemed to be escaping/leaking. Also there seems to be a bug problem at the window in the smaller bedroom.Loved our stay, tho!
The Hidden Cottage is so tastefully decorated and thoughtfully appointed, and an ideal location from which to visit our daughter during St Olaf’s Christmasfest. I will definitely hope to stay again at this charming cottage duplex unit.
The property is compact, with very steep stairs to the two bedrooms. Something to know, as the stairs were a bit of a worry with my 85 year old father who stayed with us.
This was a delightful little cottage, true to description. I don’t think anyone was staying in the other side of the duplex when we were there so that wasn’t an issue. It is within walking distance of St Olaf and the Ole Store Resturant and Brick Oven Bakery were both walkable and recommended! Lots of birding just outside on the patio. Really appreciated that we could stream our accounts on the TV. Appreciated the coffee and tea selection. Laundry was appreciated! Will definitely be back!
Absolutely wonderful time! Beautiful property and neighborhood! Cozy and comfortable had everything we needed to enjoy our stay! Thank you for a wonderful visit!
