The place was spacious and plenty of room for our family to stay in. Pet friendly was very important to us. The beds were extremely comfortable! The coffee maker with the freshly gound beans every morning was a delight! The place is on a nice country road with beautiful views. Area restaurants and a bike/walking path only a couple miles away.
Very nice and clean place. We used this rental as a hub to go around and see lots that Maine had to offer. Hosts were very nice and kept a very clean place.
This was a great place to stay, cental to places we wanted to see. Has water acess and lots of toy/boat options. Saw some loons, fireflies and the friendly free range chickens that would wonder around.
Wonderful place. Easy access to the water for my mom. My kids loved fishing off the dock. The beautiful chickens. It was so amazing. I could just go on about how amazing this place was.

Very spacious, well stocked with every amenity possible.
This was a nice quiet spot to relax with family. The stream is on the property, and Gardiner was a great location to make as the base for our adventures around Maine. The owners couldn’t have been nicer
We had a good Christmas there, it was very clean and comfortable. The problem we encountered is the bathroom that had a bath tub, the spout in the tub part just didn’t have any water pressure to it and didn’t work at all after a short while. Also the water pressure in the whole house was in poor condition and the hot water didn’t work at all. Other than that all the rest was a comfortable stay.

I would appreciate to know this during your stay. It is actually an easy fix. Too bad you never told me
This property was wonderful. It had everything renters could ever need including an instant pot pressure cooker and excellent coffee machine that was stocked and ready to make good coffee. The cleanliness of the property was exceptional. The beds were very comfortable. We were in the area for cross country ski races and had a great stay.
We loved staying here! It was so nice to have a location where we could rest, our family could visit, and we could relax. The hosts were close by and responded to any requests immediately. We all enjoyed using the kayaks and paddleboard, and getting out on the water. W. Gardiner is centrally located for us, and a short distance to Augusta, downtown Gardiner, Brunswick, and Portland. Would highly recommend and stay there again.
I am a dad that was doing a solo-trip up to see the area I grew up in. I just picked something cheap and easy. This property is great. The sound system, is amazing stayed up too late watching movies! Hahaha. I would be shocked if someone couldn't find a movie that they really enjoy in the available collection. Documentaries to action to romance to kids to horror, they had something for every taste.I personally like having the rooms on either end. The end with the "master" bedroom is right next to the tv and awesome sound system so parents can stay up watching a movie while kids can sleep down at the other end. I would 100% stay here with my family but also made for a fun night for a dad alone.Greg and Irina could not be sweeter. Met Greg and he was mostly worried about my safety. When I messaged Irina about how loud the movie (again really good sound system) she laughed it off said they couldn't hear anything and we just happy I was enjoying.Just a great experience!P.S. The have a Galaga machine!
The response from the host was amazing! Our internet was a little slow the first day and they came and fixed it immediately. This house would be perfect for a family with kids. Lots of fun toys and extra beds in each bedroom. 10/10 recommend!!

Immaculate home, unusual arrangement
The property is stunning, very easy to access from the main roads. The rental is situated on the owner's property, and is completely separate and stand-alone from the owner's home and other outbuildings. The owner Irina is lovely and accessible. The rental is immaculate and still brand new (film wrap still on the chrome in the shower.) The layout of the rental unit is railroad style, with the bedrooms at opposite ends. It worked well for our family of 4 + a dog. However, the beds were low, loud, and uncomfortable. The LED lights were too white/blue for comfort, and too sparse throughout. More floor lamps and alternate lighting options would help a lot.
The sparklingly clean home came with tons of linens, all the soaps you need for the kitchen, bathroom and washer/dryer.
We were thrilled with the chickens who also live on the property (just hens, no roosters - ie no wake up calls at dawn.) It was just slightly strange walking down to the river dock - through the owner's yard while they were using it. They were pleasant enough, albeit an unexpected situation of sharing the property that was not disclosed in the listing.

We are a family of 4, who like to host people from all over the world in our little beautiful quiet place in magnificent Maine! We are very friendly and go above and beyond to make our guests feel like home!
Why they chose this property
We are located on Cobbosseecontee Stream in Gardiner, Maine. The stream is a popular spot for fishing, boating, and wildlife viewing, with some sections having Class II rapids. It has a rich history rooted in Native American usage, particularly by the Abenaki tribes. The name itself, meaning "Land where the sturgeon are taken," reflects the stream's importance as a fishing ground. The stream was a vital part of an Abenaki trail connecting Gardiner on the Kennebec River to Moosehead Lake.
