About the host
Hosted by Debra Monahan
We first visited St. Petersburg in 2014 and instantly fell in love with its charm, sunshine, and vibrant community. Not long after, we purchased this bungalow and have been lovingly renovating it ever since—one project at a time!
I'm a Long Island native who made a stop in Old Town Alexandria before landing in Florida. We truly enjoy living in a place that attracts visitors from all over the world. Hosting allows us to connect with people from so many different walks of life, and we feel lucky to be part of their St. Pete experience.
We take great pride in providing a clean, comfortable, and welcoming space for our guests. Whether you're here for work, sunshine, or a change of scenery, we hope you feel right at home.

Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it offers the perfect mix of peaceful, residential charm and easy access to all the energy and culture of downtown St. Pete. It's walkable, bike-friendly, and full of historic bungalows, old-growth trees, and friendly neighbors.
We love being just a short walk from Crescent Lake Park, cozy coffee shops, and a variety of restaurants—plus it's only a 5-minute drive (or scenic 20-minute walk) to the waterfront and vibrant downtown. It's the kind of place where you can start your morning with a peaceful stroll and end your evening with live music or a great meal—all without needing to get on the highway.
It truly feels like the best of both worlds!

What makes this property unique
What makes our property unique is its combination of historic charm, walkability, and real-life comfort. This isn’t a cookie-cutter rental—it’s a 100-year-old bungalow we’ve been lovingly renovating over time, so it has character and quirks, but it’s also clean, cozy, and fully furnished for everyday living.
Guests love the open floor plan, natural light, and relaxed vibe. The location is a huge plus—you can easily walk to parks, coffee shops, and downtown St. Pete, but you’re still in a quiet, residential area that feels like home.
We also aim to create a welcoming and lived-in environment—not a sterile or overly “staged” space. If you're looking for a place with personality, comfort, and a walkable location, this is it.
One of our favorite things about this location is how close it is to Crescent Lake Park—just a 10-minute walk away. It’s perfect for daily dog walks, plus it has a fenced dog park and pickleball courts, making it great for both pets and people.
