Deerwood Station- Relax in Our Beautiful Guest Cabin!
Deerwood Station Guest Cabin is a beautiful family owned cabin located on the Deerwood Ranch. The cabin sits on the banks of the Middle Fork of the Little Laramie River. Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout inhabit the river. Our guests can just relax on the deck and enjoy the scenery or they can hike and fish on the property or cross country ski in the winter. The ranch is a Wild Horse Eco-Sanctuary so wild horse viewing is available. Wild Horse tours take place mid May-September. The tours take place Tuesday-Saturday. The tours typically last about 2 hours. They fill up fast so buy tickets on SimpleTix.com as soon as possible. Ticketing venue is set up in April. You can purchase tickets at that time.
The cabin sleeps up to seven people. Please add the correct number of guests to the reservation. Two people are charged differently than a family of five. We appreciate honesty!
We do have a strict no-refund policy. A date change request can be sent 30 days prior to check-in. The date change must be requested within the same calendar year as the original booking.
The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
After the booking, we will verify all reservation details by phone and/or email within 48 hours.
We do not allow driving your ATV, UTV or snow mobiles on the property. There are many roads and trails in the Snowies where that can take place

We absolutely loved our stay on this property. The cabin was clean and cozy and the setting was peaceful and tranquil. The tour of the horse sanctuary with Caleb was superb. We will be recommending this cabin to friends and family.
This was our 6th stay at the Deerwood cabin. If you're looking for a beautiful and peaceful location to relax, you won't find a better spot. Set along a quite river with long, open views, starry skies, and the occasional moose, the cabin offers a respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Great for families with kids, the hosts are so friendly.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. So awesome to have you stay for your 6th time.
Our second time there and it was even better than the first! One of our favorite places in Wyoming! Wonderful location, spacious and beautiful cabin, peace and quiet with close access to the Snowy Range where we had the perfect hike. Loved the tour of the mustangs, just what you want to see in the wild west. And Rich and Jana, the hosts, are the best!

Thanks for the review! You and Ron are great guests! Thanks for coming back to the Deerwood.
The cabin was super cozy and such wonderful views outside. Our hosts were super kind and the horse tour is worth buying tickets for! I hope to come stay here again someday!
The owners of Deerwood Station are delightful folks and they take pride in their surroundings and their mission with the horses. The cabin is very well appointed and so private and quiet. We really enjoyed mama moose and baby visiting across the river - twice! And the locals - the ponies, the burros, the 4-H cows, watching the owners' grandkids handling their animals, listening to all the local birds and the visiting sandhill cranes, and watching the dogs romp and play with one another. And our visit to the ice cream store - loved the rhubarb crisp and huckleberry treats Jana. We hope to return to the Deerwood again real soon!

Thanks so much Gail! So happy you will be coming back in 2027. The ultimate compliment is when guests return.
This was an amazing experience. We have used VRBO often and this was right up at the top of our experiences. Our entire family loved the trip, the stay, the location, and we cannot say enough about the hosts. Jana made everything easy, and Rich's tour of the wild mustangs was an experience none of us will forget. His knowledge, understanding of the environment, and of the horses is simply amazing. We plan to be back, to learn more about the area, and to return to the mustangs, and to spend more time in the beautifully appointed and comfortable cabins.THANK YOU!
We love staying here - have been coming every winter with the kids to go skiing for 5 years now. Great place, great people. The kids always ask when we're coming back.
This place was a slice of heaven! Beautiful can't begin to describe this Ranch and place we stayed. The owners are so kind and friendly. I wish we could have stayed forever! It was so relaxing. I would stay here over and over. The flowing creek was so nice to listen to and sit on the back porch and watch. We stayed there for our daughters graduation from University of Wyoming. The ride into town took about 25 minutes, but it seemed like 2 minutes taking in all the beautiful scenery. Highly recommended!

This cabin is a wonderful spot to explore the local national forest or go skiing at Snowy Range. The cabin is clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything you need for your stay. Seeing the horses as you come in is a great experience. Check in was simple and timely, and the hosts are great to work with. Looking forward to coming back next year.

About the host
Hosted by Jana Wilson
We have lived on the ranch for 39. We are lucky enough to get to own the family ranch. We have three kids who help us out whenever possible. The ranch is a family venture! The Deerwood Ranch is now a Wild Horse Eco-Sanctuary. Wild Horse viewing is available.
Why they chose this property
The Deerwood Ranch has been in our family since 1982. The Centennial Valley is one of the most scenic landscapes we have ever seen. Falling in love with this country is easy to do!
What makes this property unique
While staying at the cabin our guests can walk, hike, fish, take a ranch tour, mountain bike, cross country ski and enjoy their beautiful mountain surroundings. Photographers will be thrilled with the photo opportunities. We have a firepit in the yard so campfires are enjoyed by many. The cabin sits on the bank of the Middle Fork of the Little Laramie River. Let the sounds of the river lull you to sleep at night with your window open to breathe the fresh mountain air. As of October, 2012 we are a wild horse eco-sanctuary. Guests can enjoy viewing the horses, from a distance and seeing them in their natural surroundings. We also have deer, elk, antelope, moose, fox, coyotes and other animals that might be seen while out sightseeing. if you are staying at the cabin May-September we do offer wild horse tours. You can purchase tickets online at https://www.simpletix.com/e/wild-horse-tours-tickets-66634
