Really enjoyed my stay here and the beach chairs and umbrella were a pleasant surprise. This is going on my list of places to stay while visiting Waikiki.
This place was right in the heart of Waikiki, two blocks from the beach. Beautiful sunsets. While the apartment isn't 5-star, it was very economical and a great place to come back to after a day of touring the islands. Loads of restaurants nearby. Close to zoo, huge park, right on busline (We took the bus to the Arizona Memorial for 1.25.)
Property is aging but decent. Room has some ants & gnats. Bug spray provided under the sink. No onside laundry. Parking is an issue, only 9 spaces for tower 1.

The location is excellent, it is a short walk to just about everything, including the beach. There are food trucks in front of the building but there is a food truck next door that has so many choices, it takes a good 5-10 minutes to decide. I really enjoyed having it so close. The building itself is kind of old, but the unit is nice. I did have a difficult time to get the lock box key, but after I located it everything went smoothly. It would have been nice to know that the lock box is yellow, would have made it much simplier to find. I did miss having a pool, but again the beach is just a short walk down the street. .
Location was great, a short walk to Waikiki Beach. Security was good, parking was small and open to the public with a high demand, got lucky everyday of the stay, be aware of any low centered vehicles on entry and exit it is hazardous to undercarriages.
Unit was older and had some damage in the flooring, mainly missing moldings, so watch your feet.
Host was great in communication- but the stay was really ruined by not having any hot water for all but the first night. Bathing was brutal as the water at the beach was warmer. We considered vacating early but toughed it out. Host had maintenance come and check 2X and even sent a photo of a laser thermometer of the water. After waking up at 3am to check the water that next morning, yes it was hot- so we believe the demand on the source is just too great and needs to be upgraded.
Freezer and refrigerator unit needs maintenance, first night it was pushed against the wall and was making noise all night. It doesn’t stay cold enough for food items and the freezer is frosted very bad.
Directions on how to operate the lock on the door would be beneficial, could not figure out how to lock the door for leaving.
As with all things at Waikiki - you get what you pay for!
This was probably the most run-down and dirty place I have ever stayed in. I feel like I didn't look too hard at anything because I didn't want to see how grimey things actually were. There were makeup stains on my pillowcase, the floor boards were broken, there were little ants everywhere, the shower was kinda suspicious and the drain was just a gaping rusty hole. The check-in process was super awkward and you retrieve the key from a lockbox, but there are like 50 lockboxes all crammed together in a room so it took us a while to even find ours. Also the lock on the room had a code but the keypad didn't work for us so we had to use a phone app to unlock the room every time we came back. The "property manager" kept texting me and asking for updates and stuff, but when I replied, they wouldn't reply back? It was weird and I felt like a computer was texting me, not a person. I never actually communicated with any property manager or anything, but I also didn't try to reach out to them myself so I can't speak on how helpful they might have been. The location was excellent and we were able to walk to everything we needed. The road the apartment is on is busy, but not as busy as other roads in that area so I appreciated that. Also we were able to find free street parking for our entire stay, though we did have to drive a bit to find it.Overall, it was definitely the grossest place I've ever stayed in, especially in HI, but was fine for what we needed.
