Welcome to our spacious 6-bedroom Okemo Hideaway, set on 10+ private acres alongside a beautiful river in the town of Ludlow. This secluded, mountainside chalet sleeps up to 13 guests and is just 7 minutes from Okemo Mountain, making it the perfect year-round retreat for families, couples, and adventure seekers.

Enjoy mountain views from every window, two cozy fireplaces, and two separate living rooms, each with a flat-screen TV—ideal for large groups who want room to spread out. A bonus 6th sleeping area is attached to one of the downstairs bedrooms, creating a perfect setup for families with children.

Snowmobilers will love the property’s direct access to the V.A.S.T. trail system—bring your sleds and ride straight from the front door.

Being from Long Island, I’ve always loved coming up to Vermont during ski season and spending time with my grandmother in Manchester—just about 35 minutes from Ludlow. We purchased this beautiful home because it’s so close to Okemo Mountain and an easy drive to see family, and we’re excited to share it with guests who enjoy the same Vermont charm we fell in love with.

If you’re looking to explore beyond the slopes, we highly recommend a day trip to Manchester, VT for great shopping, dining, and classic New England scenery. On the way, be sure to stop at the famous Vermont Country Store in Weston—it’s about halfway there and is a fun, nostalgic stop that really captures the Vermont experience.

The moment you arrive, you’re surrounded by tall pines, the sound of the nearby river, and wide-open Vermont mountain views. It’s quiet, private, and feels like a true getaway—yet everything you need is just minutes away.

What we enjoy most about this neighborhood is the perfect blend of nature and convenience. In winter, you can be on the slopes at Okemo in just a few minutes. In summer and fall, you’re close to scenic hiking trails, swimming holes, farmers markets, and some of Vermont’s best foliage drives. Ludlow village has a warm, local feel with fantastic restaurants, cozy pubs, cafés, and small shops to explore.

At night, the area becomes incredibly calm and dark—ideal for stargazing from the deck, relaxing by the fire pit, or listening to the river in the background. It’s the kind of neighborhood where you instantly feel relaxed, connected to nature, and far away from the noise of everyday life.
