Beautifully Quiet and Convenient Condo in Provincetown

White Dory is a beautiful, clean condo that is convenient to the center of Provincetown, but far enough away to be tranquil. Its windows overlook trees on all sides, enhancing the feeling of privacy. The location couldn't be better - just one mile from the town center (closer to the galleries and museum), and also close to several ocean-side beaches and hikes. Having a dedicated parking space was wonderful, as was the small, private deck. Lise and Bob were excellent and speedy communicators, and the neighbors in the other condos were helpful and nice. A lovely spot that we hope to visit again!

Can't wait to return!

This property was perfect for a week long stay. With windows on 3 sides, this second floor unit has lots of light and ocean air filling the space. The kitchen and bathrooms were fitted with modern updates and clean. Bob and Lise were readily available for questions and very easy to work with. Any and all inquiries answered within minutes. The private beach, on the bay, is just seconds away across the street. A perfect stop for a quick dip or coffee on the beach. The property is quiet. Never heard any neighbors, but when we did meet any they were welcoming and friendly. My only regret is that we could only stay a week. We look forward to returning next summer and spending another week in this little slice of heaven.

fabulous apartment with private beach

we had a great two weeks in the white dory’s unit 11 in july 2019 and would stay there again! the apartment is bright and spacious and actually looking much better then the pictures show. it is on the second floor in the back of the building - facing bradford street - and accessible through the main house or the spiral staircase that leads up to the deck. it is clean and feels like recently renovated with bright white walls, new windows, screens and blinds throughout. appliances, dishes, furniture, towels, everything in top condition. the wood floor was perfect for sweeping up some of the beach sand that we - inevitably - brought in. there are a/c window units in the kitchen and in the bedroom that cool well and don’t run too loud. we also used the pull-out sofa for sleeping which is spacious and decently comfortable for one person. big plus was the washing machine in the basement (detergent provided). the place is very quiet and the residents that live there are super friendly. our favorite part was the private beach right across commercial street which has a nice view of the town’s coastline (beach chairs are in the apartment). this was our fifth vacation in provincetown and our first stay at the far east end. it turned out to be very relaxing and walking into town was quicker then we thought it would be. for the few rainy days that we encountered it would have been nice if the deck had an awning to still be able to sit outside but aside from that it was a great apartment and a great stay. the communications with lise and bob was perfect. they are super friendly and immediately responsive to any questions that we had by text or email. they even picked us up at the warf when we arrived which was very nice after a day of traveling. thanks lise and bob for making this one of our favorite vacations! fäde & john, coral gables/miami

Loved loved loved the beach!

Open, light-filled and homey. Not fancy, just very comfortable. Well-equipped kitchen if you like to cook. Hosts are easily available and accommodating. Only drawback for us was lack of washer/dryer, but this was not a deal-breaker. The private beach across the street is a bit of heaven with a glorious view of the harbor and the town. Neighborhood is full of beautiful homes and gardens. Best with a car or bicycles as food and shopping are a ways away. Highly recommmend. Would stay there again.

Charming, spacious, quiet, beautiful and in a perfect location

I rented this lovely place for 2 weeks and was not ready to leave when the time came. It's stylish, spacious kitchen and dining room are beautifully appointed. Large windows overlook two sides of a lush garden and vast expanse of lawn which leads to the front of the property just across from Cape Cod Bay. Having rented many vacation rental places, I can say the large, airy kitchen here is the best equipped I have ever had in a rental. The owners, Lise and Bob, have filled it with everything any cook on any level could possibly want. It is also recently renovated and is stylish and beautiful with more than ample counter space. A half-bathroom with toilet and sink off of the dining room is a big plus. The owners have also equipped the place with several new, high-quality beach chairs, big beach towels and a beach umbrella. The bedroom looks out on a copse of trees and its queen-sized bed is obviously top quality and one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. It's ensuite bathroom is perfect in size. Provincetown can get hot and humid but Lise and Bob have provided two air conditioners that keep the whole place cool. This is not always the case in Provincetown. The deck and outdoor table looking out over the garden add to the appeal of this lovely spot. Lise and Bob are excellent hosts. They are informative, attentive, hands-on and quick to answer any questions. I cannot recommend them or their place enough and look forward to renting it again.

Just Lovely

We had a wonderful stay. The space is clean and light. The location is about 15 min walk to town a perfect distance for an evening stroll after dinner. The private beach across the street is beautiful. And Lise and Bob were great hosts. The house is very well set up and they are lovely and generous, quick to respond to any questions. I highly recommend it!

Large, comfy 1BR in East End - great hosts

We loved this 1 bedroom, 2nd floor apartment in the far East End. First of all, the hosts were warm and welcoming - they met us in the parking lot off Bradford St on our arrival (which was hours early, not a problem as the place was clean and ready). Communication was good during the week, too. Did I mention the parking lot? Plenty of room for big vehicles with bikes, kayaks, etc in the large, dedicated parking spot. Lots of space at the bike rack, too. Private outdoor entrance up a spiral staircase takes you to a private deck space overlooking the back yard, leading to a very sunny, airy space with super quiet neighbors. Kitchen was large and very well-equipped, great for preparing healthy, vegan meals and not eating out every night. Full size appliances and kitchen table. Two window units for the rare super hot days, but mostly just enjoyed the cross breezes from large, open windows. The bed was comfortable and bedroom had good storage space to unpack (chest of drawers, large closet with plenty of hangers, other shelves). Powder room off kitchen in addition to a full en suite bathroom. Smart TV allowed us to watch Hulu and Netflix in the living room, and the wifi was adequate for checking work email (necessary evil for some of us). Beach chairs and towels came in handy when we walked across Commerical street to the private beach area. No laundry access during our visit due to COVID restrictions, but there is a laundromat behind the liquor store in the Stop and Shop strip mall area with plenty of parking. Location is in the far East End (nearly the last block of Commercial St) so prepare to walk ~20 min or bike ~10 min into town, ~15-20 min to the breakwater and Herring Cove Beach. Located close to the amazing Dune Shacks trail, 10/10 recommend hiking 30 min to the beach there if you are an active person. Maybe a ~10 min bike ride to the Beech Forest bike trail for scenic (and shady) cycling and jogging, too.

The open floor plan and ample natural light were very welcoming. The half bath off the kitchen was a plus. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped. We enjoyed sitting on the deck. The few building residents that we met during our week were very friendly & welcoming. Could have used a 2nd roll of paper towels & extra TP to get us through the full week.

Charming and Comfortable Home in Ptown East End

Lise and Robert's apartment is a truly wonderful place to stay in Ptown. It is just across the street from the bay with private beach access. The space is very comfortable and clean, with a well-appointed kitchen, a great living space with lots of windows, and a deck with a small table and chairs to enjoy the fresh sea air. Reliable private parking space and nice propane grill just for this unit. Lise and Robert are great hosts. Highly recommend staying here!

A Lovely stay in a lovely unit

LOVE LOVE LOVE The White Dory. It was immaculate and the rennovations have the unit updated and modern. The owners are gracious and kind and the neighbors were all friendly and welcoming. The kitchen was supplied with everything you could possibly want including a fabulous kitchen sink. :) The streaming Chromcast in the living room was terrific. We are now diching our able in lue of it. We did not require any air conditioning as the breeze from the bay would filter through the house. The private beach is a must! So convenient and cozy. As Good As It Gets

This was our second year renting this outstanding unit on the beautiful East End of Provincetown.This immaculately clean condo has everything!Hardwood floors,new appliances,air conditioning,tasteful decor,private entrances,balcony patio,outdoor grill,off street parking,a private beach and TWO bathrooms.What more could you ask for?The building has a great history,friendly neighbors and is located in a particularly well cared for,quiet stretch of Commercial Street.This year we took in two excellent shows at The Provincetown Theater which is just a few blocks away on Bradford Street.Fanizzi's,a restaurant popular with the locals,is just a stonesthrow away and offers excellent food at reasonable prices.Communication with the owners was excellent as usual.They are a pleasure to rent from. I cannot recommend this rental highly enough!

Excellent Accommodation in Provincetown!

This condo was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our stay in Provincetown. It is located on Commercial Street, which is where you want to be, as most of the town's restaurants and art galleries are on this street. We also had our own beach access directly across the street, which we took advantage of on a daily basis. The condo was set up immaculately with a spacious living area, a kitchen with a dinette table, a gorgeous bedroom and two bathrooms. The couch pulls out into a double bed, so four people can comfortably stay here. We had no issues during our stay, but the owners were easy to deal with in terms of the rental. If you plan on vacationing in Provincetown, I highly recommend this condo. I would definitely stay here again.

Home Away From Home

This is the sixth unit we have rented since we have been vacationing in Provincetown and this immaculate space was easily the best! The condo is on the second floor-rear of the beautiful,historic White Dory on the east end of Commercial St.The location is very private and situated in the building such that there are no shared walls on three sides,making it exceptionally quiet.There are two entrances,a spiral stairway to a private balcony and exterior door,and a wider shared staircase to the interior door for easy loading/unloading.The well maintained private parking lot entrance on Bradford Street is separated from the back yard by tall trees and lovingly cared for bushes and flowers.The condo owners of the White Dory obviously take pride in the building and grounds.The private beach across the street was a very unique feature,offering beautiful views of P-town!The new owners of this unit took great pains in renovating to make it as comfortable as home.The decor is fresh,bright and tastefully appointed in every detail,from the artwork to the adorable little duck towel hangers on the bathroom door!The new chefs kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook wonderful meals,a big plus when you consider how expensive it is to dine out in town.New appliances,cabinets,countertops and a deep sink with easy to use single handed faucet/sprayer make cooking a pleasure! There is also a new Weber propane grill labeled specifically for the unit outside in the picnic area.If you do dine out,Fanizzi's is just blocks away,very reasonable and popular with residents and visitors. There are two new flatscreen televisions in the unit,one in the living room which uses Chromecast (easily downloadable)and another in the bedroom which has cable.Internet connection is fast and does not appear to be shared with the other units like many rentals we have stayed.The new queen size bed was exceptionally comfortable.Since there was just the two of us we did not use the fold out sofa bed,but the sofa itself was quite comfy. Hot water temperature/pressure was great throughout the condo.The extra half bath off the dining area was an added plus,we never had to fight for space. It was hot the week of our stay,but two a/c units kept the unit cool and worked quickly so no need to keep them running when we were out. The owners communicated quickly,returned our deposit promptly and even left a welcome gift. I genuinely hope to make this our yearly home away from home!

Wonderful Place, Wonderful Space!

Love the White Dory! I have vacationed at the Wd on 4 different occasions, three of which were in this particular unit. Just returned from a two week stay and enjoyed the newly renovated unit. The condo is well equipped, quiet, clean, centrally located and has a private beach (bay side) directly across the street. Although it sleeps 4 ( I bedroom, pull out couch) I think it's ideal for 2 people, 4 would be a stretch. I would recommend the WD to anyone wanting a quiet stay in the east end of PT, within walking distance to art galleries and town. Thanks to Lise and Bob for their kindness during our stay!
