About this property

Nostalgia, Privacy in the Mountains, Comfortable

Welcome to the Goshen area of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia! Bells Valley Ranch is our pride and joy, located between Staunton and Lexington, and we think you’ll love it as much as we do with those Peace in the Valley vibes it offers. Couldn’t say it better than Aaron who mentioned “felt like you came home to grandma’s house.” It truly does! The warm wood interior invites you in with a flat floor plan, spacious bedrooms in their own wing, a comfortable place for multi generations or friends to gather, wide open spaces to view the mountains and the valley and soak it all in.

Make sure you check the N&W 611 Steam Locomotive 🚂 schedule - and stay with us for the weekend. There's a crossing at the end of our road and the ride itself offers incredible scenic views. You’ll need to visit the Virginia Scenic Railway website for specific details on how to ride.

Moving on. The interior of Bells Valley Ranch is open and flows well to gather together while providing space to sprawl out. The great room combines living/dining/kitchen into one space. Put together a puzzle at our farm table, watch a popular show on the smart tv (fiber optic internet), relax and converse on the comfy sofas and recliner. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped to host your adventures. You’re welcome to use anything stocked in our cupboards and drawers, including the charming antique silverware. Appliances in the kitchen include:
✔️Double Wall Oven
✔️5 Burner Stovetop
✔️Microwave
✔️Dishwasher
✔️Coffee Station

To the right of the entry, you’ll find the sleeping wing, which houses 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The cheerful King ensuite offers a stunning view of the valley with its many windows and comes with a full attached bathroom. The 2nd bedroom also features a King size bed, while the third bedroom is furnished with two twin beds. The basement bedroom is accessed through the attached garage (opposite side of the house) and is open concept with a Queen bed and 2 Twin beds.

Additionally, there is a full-size laundry room available for your convenience. In this wing of the house, you'll also find the third full bathroom, which includes a shower stall. The garage is attached to the hallway here. As you can see, there is plenty of space for both living and having fun!

Mini splits are installed in the Great Room and Basement to keep you comfortable year round. Baseboard heat and window units heat and cool the bedroom wing.

There's lots of space to explore outdoors! Maybe you'll find the freshwater spring that's onsite? A wooden split rail fence creates boundaries around the homestead, keeping everyone safe. A flagstone patio is just off the Great Room, where the lovely evening shade makes it enjoyable for an al fresco dinner. A gas grill is available to use.

Mom and Pop grocery stores are in Goshen and Craigsville (which also has a Dollar General).

Being that it is rural, we do our best to keep this a pest free environment! Ladybugs like to cling to the windows and other pests do make an appearance from time to time no matter how hard we combat it.

We'd love to host you!

Quiet retreat in the Valley

We were in town for my niece's graduation at Liberty University. Although Lynchburg is an hour and a half away from Bells Valley Ranch, we were happy to make the trip because the home was so welcoming, provided us with adequate space for our gathering, and was perfectly suited for the occasion. We would gladly recommend the space and rent it again!
