We loved this house. The fenced yard was perfect for our dogs — they could be outside off-leash without us worrying. The place was spotlessly clean when we arrived, and there were fresh flowers out, which was a nice touch. The whole house was comfortable and easy to settle into. Our host was extremely helpful and quick to respond to anything we needed. We’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling with dogs.

Of course I enjoyed meeting everyone and was grateful to share best ‘pet practices’ at the outset. Leading to the smooth stay. Great communication made it possible to host you all comfortably at Paddock House.
Thank you for leaving the home and grounds neat and tidy. -🙋♂️Michael C

My wife and I and our children had a fantastic stay at the paddock house in Fall Creek. This older house had wonderful charm. It was centrally located for the wedding event and wedding festivities throughout the weekend. We brought our bicycles to move about but easily walkable to the downtown area, the large pavilion and the farmers market and many other nearby places. It is also very close to the cascadilla waterfall hike which is less than a mile away. Overall very positive experience. Check in process was easy with self checking and a responsive communicative host.
We had a lovely stay at Paddock House. It is an older house with old house charm! Lots of room for a family of 4, clean, and walking distance to Ithaca Falls, the town square, coffee etc!! The hosts were great communicators and check in was easy! Would definitely stay again!!
The host was very attentive and made check in and out an ease. It was close to Cornell and downtown. Walkable to lots of things including a waterfall. WiFi was good for working (if need). Only down side was one small bathroom, but was typical of that type of house. Would return!

Such an amazing home with such a kind host! It is very close to downtown, a sweet quiet neighborhood and so warm and comfortable, which is so important in the wintery days of March in Ithaca! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would love to stay again when we get to visit our kid in college another time. Thanks!

Thank you for the review!
It's great that Paddock House worked well for your college visit.
With kind regards,
Michael
This is a cute and comfortable house. Michael the host was a great communicator and made the process very easy. The beds were comfortable, the showers were hot and the location excellent. The kitchen had everything we needed to make some home cooked meals. Parking was so convenient with a covered driveway just next to the house. One thing I wanted to point out is that we didn't have to jump through a bunch of hoops for checkout. Sometimes I feel like I am doing a lot of the "cleaning" but not here. We felt very taken care of. Highly recommend staying here and Ithaca is an adorable town.

It was lucky that you got to experience the Ithaca Festival Parade on your first night here. I've just now returned your son's T-shirt via USPS arriving day after tomorrow.
With warmest regards,

Paddock house was a lovely, comfortable, and spotlessly clean vacation home in a quiet neighborhood in downtown Ithaca. The host Michael was accessible and helpful. The location is great for families - walking distance to restaurants, playgrounds, and museums. Would stay here again!

Thanks Rachel. It was a pleasure hosting you. I hope you can visit again soon!
We enjoyed staying in this nicely kept home with our family. The house was very comfortable. Michael, the host, was helpful in a nice low key and friendly way. Our ambitious Thanksgiving cooking plans strained the vintage kitchen but we pulled it off, and brought delicious food to our big family gathering. One day we had 2 inches of snow and blue sky, and savored our coffee in the morning looking out the windows. Definitely had a nice time.
Paddock House was really nice for our family vacation (2 adults, 2 kids under 8). The location can’t be beat! We were close to everything and appreciated the walkable neighborhood. Michael was super attentive and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend. Stay here!
Safe quiet neighbourhood. Lovely old house. In pristine condition. Michael was a great host, collected us from bus and brought our 25 kg bags to house. Good communication from Michael ensuring our stay was pleasant. Everything was perfect. Highly recommend Paddocks.

Jerry was a proactive and considerate guest. Easy to host and lovely to interact with.
Host Michael was extremely helpful in assisting us with special needs during our stay. He went above and beyond with preparation for our stay and was very communicative before and during our visit. Highly recommend!
Paddock House is an amazing rental property in the heart of Ithaca. Perfect neighborhood accessible to most of the key attractions. Ithaca falls is a few minutes walk and we thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property.Though the house is old but it was maintained in a great condition, all rooms were clean and appreciate the owners for taking good care. We would consider this property if we have to come back to Ithaca.
House was perfect for what we needed, great backyard for dogs and loved the short walk to Ithaca Falls Quiet, tree-lined street. Michael was a great host, very easy to work with and great communication

Thank you Lisa. I enjoyed hosting you and your family
This is a Whole House Rental with Three (3) Bedrooms and a Small, Full Bathroom Upstairs. Each Bedroom has a Small A/C Window Unit and Large Closets. There is a Full Kitchen, Living Room (with a Small A/C Window Unit) and a Dining Room. There is No Downstairs 1/2 Bathroom (for Guests or Handicapped). There is also No Washer or Dryer but there is a Laundry Mat three blocks away. The Water Pressure is Weak but Manageable. This is an Older Home and has a Damp Oder Throughout (if you have allergies). The Backyard is Fenced but has some Gaps; Check before you let your Dog out. There is also a Ramp, and Steps, leading up to an Enclosed Back Porch that is perfect for Safe Bike Storage with Electrical Outlets. However, the Ramp and Steps have Seasonal Mold Growing on the Carpet Covering that is Slippery; Be Careful when Using. The Neighborhood is Really Good for Biking or Walking Dogs. You can Easily Bike to Cayuga Waterfront Trail, Black Diamond Trail and the Farmer's Market via Dey St. It is also Walking Distance to Ithaca Falls, Coffee Shop, Bar, and Restaurant.NOTE: Wheelchair Accessibility...While there is a wheelchair ramp up to the back porch, it is slippery with seasonal mold. There is no downstairs bedroom but you could sleep on the sofa. However, there is NO downstairs bathroom or half bath. I would not consider this house functional for a person in a wheelchair or using a walker.

Sorry for the weather-related discomfort during your stay. Paddock House has pretty good climate controls, however two factors contributed to your discomfort. One was not keeping the house closed-up, particular the back doors and two was deploying three de-humidfiers located in the rear annex, the dining room window and the upstairs closet.
For my cleaning crew, I activated these appliances (see attached pictures) and found comfort restored in about an hour: relative humidity declined from 77% to 66%.
I hope to be in better communication with my future guests!

Paddock House Owner & Host
We loved our stay. Michael was a great host - he was helpfully communicative, and everything was extremely clean and prepared. The home was perfect for our group of 3. The location was phenomenal, quiet and private but within a 5 min drive or 20 min walk of both downtown and Cornell university. Being a few streets away from the beautiful fall creek gorge and falls was an additional perk!
I would absolutely rent this property again in the future.

Thank you Dan. LMknow if I can return a few bathroom items left behind....COme visit us again!
Quaint 1920's Ithaca home with lots of original charm. Very thoughtfully appointed. Host is great - communicative, responsive, kind. Easy walk to coffee, food, and the falls. There is a ramp leading out to the backyard which was great for our elderly dog. We stayed there with our 4yr old son and he had a blast; he's still talking about "the vacation house" days later.
The Paddock house was excellent for this business trip to Cornell University. Close to Campus and downtown. Charming, spacious property! Communication with Michael was easy and on time. Everything worked just fine. Highly recommended for writing retreats and family visit to Campus.

Thanks Maricelis -
We're glad you enjoyed Paddock House and we appreciated renewing our Cornell connections. Hope to see you again soon. Michael
We had a wonderful time staying at the Paddock house! Michael has really taken the time to think of everything that you might need during your stay and was very kind and accommodating. We ended up checking out an hour late because we had left our car at the wedding venue we attended and Michael was very kind about us leaving late. (sorry again Michael!)We lived in Ithaca for four years and have stayed in quite a few vacation rentals when we come back to visit, but this one really stands out! The rental was the fenced in yard for the dogs. The backyard is huge and secure and our dogs had so much fun running laps.

Why they chose this property
I have lived in Fall Creek for 30 years. It's supremely walkable, historically significant, full of kind spirited community-based individuals and families. Great place to live and love.
What makes this property unique
The Paddock House is a hundred years old and has great vibes. There's a lot of loving care visible throughout the home and I've worked to sustain that. We're in a close-knit neighborhood; it's a Perfect Location for being close to nature and close to community. Ya gotta love it!
