Meet Marina: The Mermaid Who Lives in the Pool
At the bottom of the private pool lies Marina, a hand-laid mosaic mermaid whose name and presence are deeply meaningful to us.
When I was a child growing up abroad in the 1970s, there was a small movie theater a short walk away from my home. A film that was being played was the 1975 anime adaptation of The Little Mermaid, not the Disney version, but the original, bittersweet tale by Hans Christian Andersen.
The main character, Marina, wasn’t just a mermaid; she was graceful, brave, and heartbreakingly selfless. I was captivated by her, and her story stayed with me for decades.
Years later, as we brought this Palm Springs home to life, it was only fitting that the mermaid in the pool carry that same quiet magic. Marina became the soul of the space, a symbol of beauty, transformation, and the stories we carry with us.
We invite you to relax in her presence, and maybe even connect with your own inner mermaid.

Pool Heating Fee
Pool heating is available for $100/day. Please request in advance to ensure it's activated before check-in.
Security Cameras:
For your safety, cameras are installed at the front entrances and in the garage. No cameras are in interior living spaces or the backyard. All are clearly visible and used for security only.
Pets Welcome with Approval:
Well-behaved dogs (2 max, under 20 lbs) are welcome with prior approval and a small pet fee. Please clean up after your pet and keep them off furniture.
