Will never book here again
Booked our stay 4 weeks in advance. Drove 10.5 hours and arrived a little earlier than expected so we first stopped at the location to get our parking pass and room code. Check in was at 4:00, but it was only 1:00 so we killed some time shopping. Received a call at 2:30 that our room was under renovations and wouldn’t be finished in time and we needed to cancel. Couldn’t believe this was happening an hour and half before checkin and not more closely monitored on a completion time sooner. Or maybe owners shouldnt be renting at all until the unit is completely finished! They offered us a condo inland, but we did not drive almost 11 hours to stay inland, we paid for the beach. Had to stay next door for an additional 500.00 and owner would not compensate any of that extra unexpected expense on us. It also cost us 100.00 more a day in meals because we now didn’t have a kitchen to cook breakfast in, and had to eat out. In all, this trip cost us an additional 1,100 more dollars all because their room wasn’t finished. Owners need to be more aware of what’s being done on their condos. Terrible way to conduct business.
