Experience a one of a kind stay in the Melrose Oasis cottage by the Sea.This ocean side cottage is just one row back from ocean with a 2 minute walk the beach! Ocean views are enjoyed from the front deck & inside the cottage.Enjoy gorgeous marsh/water views from the back screen porch. Located in south Carolina's southernmost island, Daufuskie island is accessible ONLY BY FERRY. This vacation experience is a remote & truly unique special place. Oasis cottage by the Sea is located in the beautiful Melrose district on Daufuskie Island. As you enter the Melrose community, you will be delighted by all the nature in a park-like setting. Driving down the “Avenue of Oaks” your tree lined journey begins through the canopy of old Oaks, home to our island “Fox squirrels” & wild deer. Slow down to gaze past the great white heron bird Rookery as you follow the Avenue of oaks down to the the Melrose oceanside cottages.
So much wonderful nature abounds here to explore. Renting golf carts is A MUST for exploring our dirt road paths, rich in history with amazing & breathtaking sights. This place is truly an outdoor nature lovers dream!
The Oasis cottage has a vintage & artsy vibe, equipped with modern conveniences.
Daufuskie island is like a journey back in time, our cottage reflects this feeling.
The kitchen is well stocked with cooking essentials. The living room & both bedrooms have TV/high speed Internet & cable selections.
The two outdoor living areas were designed to be a comfortable way to relax & enjoy the island scenery. The front porch is a favorite with a good ocean view to watch sunrise & sunsets.The back screen room is a perfect spot to curl-up on the comfortable porch swing and watch the birds swoop in over the marsh & see deer wander through. Our Oasis cottage by the sea is a lightly rented & an owner enjoyed property throughout the year. This special home is a treasure we are happy to share with guests & family.

We had a great time on Daufuskie Island and the property was such a great home base while we were on vacation. The neighborhood was extremely quiet and you are just a short walk to the beach. The house was very clean and my wife and kids loved it. The bedrooms are large and there was plenty of room for the four of us. There would have been room for four more! The kitchen was well stocked with the basic items that you might need. The washer/dryer was a nice addition. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this house to our friends and family.
