About this property
The Rock House up in the trees!
Retreat & social distance in the tree tops in our 8x10 ft “Rock House”. Song Birds will sing to you. Private outdoor bath tub near grilling/fire pit. A pavilion with picnic table and outdoor kitchen was added in 2021. Finnish steam sauna w shower was completed in fall 2019. Nice outhouse!
Self Check in May - Oct. Enjoy 160 private acres with 4 miles of trails on our 3/4 mi stretch of the wild and scenic St Regis River in the Adirondack Park. Pets are ok. We Welcome Diversity!!
This space is a pine paneled one room 10x12 ft insulated tree house with screened windows. There is a comfortable
futon couch you can pull out that sleeps two adults. There’s a dresser with a pull out desk top and some new cubbies to stow your gear in.
The dwelling is a short walk from the farm house driveway through our back yards flower and vegetable gardens and blueberry patch.
(Please feel free to snitch some juicy ripe blueberries if in season!)
The back side area of the rock house is comprised of 80 acres of forest which is home to lots of song birds for your morning wake up. The front of the rock house is above a goat turn out located in the woods 200 feet from the main farm house. The goats are at a different farm for 2024 season. There is a propane vented heater if needed for your comfort.
Guests have access to the tree house, Finnish sauna, outhouse, fire pit, pavilion with outdoor kitchen and picnic table, private outdoor bath, hot and cold running water, microwave, fridge, gas range, free kayaks and canoes and 160 acres with marked trails. The internet in the tree house is via Star Link.
I’ll be available if you need anything.
We are on the edge of a large wilderness area in the North Western Adirondacks. We are totally off grid with a robust solar array and generator back up.
Sorry not handicap accessible.
We have an awesome swim hole and lots of trails.
The outdoor tub has hot and cold water with a 7 foot privacy fence on two sides backed against the Sauna building with an optional privacy curtain that opens to the fire pit, woods and sky.
We practice cleaning protocols recommended by the CDC.
We allow well-manners pets. Please add your pet to your reservation. There is a $50. per reservation fee.
Please strip your beds and place linens and towels in pillow case and place them on the farm house porch along with your garbage before you leave. Remove shoes if they are dirty. Unplug fridge before you leave.
Check out is 11am but you’re welcome to stay on the property after check out.
Check in is 3 pm-9 pm
