We had a wonderful stay. We loved the balcony the best where we spent many happy hours watching turtles and boats and surfers and beautiful sunsets. We had everything we needed and the hosts were very responsive to a small issue. Kitchen had everything we needed and we cooked many meals. It was great to have beach chairs provided so that we could go to parks to enjoy the ocean front. Although there was no air conditioning we were comfortable with many fans provided and enjoyed having the patio doors open to the breeze and being able to listen to the waves. We would stay again.

Hidden Gem in West Maui

This unit at the Hololani was amazing. It had fabulous ocean views from lanais attached to both bedrooms where we saw sunsets and rainbows every day. Andrew, the owner, was super responsive and great to deal with on everything. Highly recommend!

Location is the best on Maui! Right on the water with views of Molokai and Lanai.

Our group of 5 enjoyed the activities of Maui, but our time at the condo was mostly spent on the balcony where comfortable tall chairs allowed us to spot whales and sea turtles in the nearly 180 degree view of the Pacific.A few small issues happened with the unit but the immediate and kind responses from the owner, along with quick resolution, only add to the happy memories from this trip.

Great communication from the hosts throughout the whole process (prior to arriving and when there) and also very responsive (had a minor shower issue, they contacted their handyman and was fixed the same day). After the fires

We had booked Andrews place a few months before the fires and never being to Maui before Andrew was very helpful with quick responses to all our messages. His unit is great with amazing views. We loved every minute of it and would stay there again.

Beautiful week on Maui

Condo property was conveniently located to beaches, shops and attractions. Amazing views and sunsets. We were able to watch turtles from the balcony every day. Owners were great with responses to questions and checkin/checkout was very smooth. Property was as expected with nice beach extras and dedicated parking. Only minor issue is that the unit is not air conditioned and this was not obvious from the listing. With the unit being on an upper floor and ample fans this ended up not being a big problem

What a view!

We so enjoyed the lanai and view! The condo was very comfortable, I let owner know about a few concerns that I’m sure he will address. We had great breezes but do wish the entry door had louvre to allow cross breeze at night. Nice complex, warm pool, friendly people. Beds were very comfortable, sofa sleeper not so much for an adult and needs to be replaced. Cleaning company needs to do better job and owner will address that. Very good communication and he appreciated my suggestions and input. We hope to come again sometime

Beautiful condo in West Maui. The best part about the condo is the view! The interior furnishings were very nice, comfortable beds. Even though there is no A/C, as long as you have the windows open and fans on it is very comfortable. Great Location! We traveled with my 76 year old grandmother and she doesn't go the beach or like being out in the sun, but she just loved sitting on the lanai watching the water and looking out for her turtles. It was perfect! My husband and I got to head out for surf and sun everyday and she felt like she was "on the beach" without having to get in the sun or covered in sand. We saw turtles from the lanai every single day. When returning to Maui, we'd definitely rent here again. Thank you!

My stay

Everything was great, But it would be better if you would install Cordless Light Filtering UV Protection PVC Manual Roll-Up Sun. The one my brother stayed in on the forth floor had it and it helped keep the condo a bit cooler since it don’t have air conditioning. Also the door vents are blocked off so I couldn’t open it. It would of help if I would had been able to open them to get that nice breeze to come in I would have to prop the door open through out the day. But out of luck at night since I was not about to leave the door propped open.

This property is in emergency need of a NEW MAKEOVER!!!!!!!! Mold in both bathrooms!!! Overuse of layers and layers of paint on walls. Linen were thin and dingy. Kitchen also needed updated appliances and washer sounded likea plane was in the condo. In master suite ( if that's what you want to call it). Mattress was bad and old. Window coverings were dusty, The TV was getting ready to go out. Pato furniture was cheap.On a positive note the view was nice but NO BEACH I would NOT RECOMMEND this place to any of my airline family.

Whale Watching Wonder

We have vacationed on Maui many times, but this condo was the best we've ever had for whale watching. My 86 year old mother has mobility issues, but she loved sitting on the lanai watching the whales play in the ocean everyday. One morning, we counted, and we were spotting a whale every 10 seconds! They hang out in the waters right in front of the condo, and your vantage point is high from the 6th floor, so the whale watching is phenomenal.The complex is 2 older high rise buildings right on the coast. They surround a small pool that was heated like bath water. We swam every day and used the grillls by the pool, too. You can also snorkel right in front with the sea turtlles, but keep your distance. There is a small store, gas station, sports bar, and Maui Brewing a short walk away.The unit was clean and adequate. We loved the fact that each bedroom had a king bed and its own lanai. If you prefer twins, the owner can set it up that way as well.We had a couple minor things pop up in the condo and told Andrew not to hurry to fix, but he was right on it. They were fixed immediately. He was the most responsive rental owner I have ever had. I definitely reccommend staying at Andrew's condo.

Maui with a Fantastic View

We spent two weeks in this condominium, a corner condo with two patios and a fantastic views both north and south. This is one of my favorite areas of Maui because of the unreal views of Molokai and Lanai and the sunsets, all seen from the comforts of the condo/patio. We thoroughly enjoyed watching turtles and spouting/breaching whales as we relaxed. The property is well maintained and while we were in the condo there was an issue with the washer/dryer that was quickly and expertly taken care of with the minimum of distress. The owners are very attentive and responsive by email. The condo is well decorated and quite comfortable. My wife and I arrived first and enjoyed the privacy before our first two mid 20s children arrived and enjoyed the back bedroom complete with their own bathroom and patio. Then our other two mid 20s kids arrived and slept on a fold out couch in the living area. This was not too crowded as we all get along quite well. Sleeping with the lanai doors opened allowed for that fabulous sound of breaking surf that for me is so relaxing. And of course, Maui is Maui. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and will look first for the availability of this condo in the future. Could not have been better.

Fabulous Maui trip!

Hololani is the perfect place for us! So close to the ocean we heard the waves all night long and loved it. Looking out from the lanai, we saw whales, turtles, spinner dolphins, surfers, paddle boarders, outrigger canoes and kayaks. Morning coffee never tasted so good! This unit had everything we needed. Each bedroom had a private outdoor lanai with beautiful views of the ocean. Most units do not have this wonderful feature. Very comfortable beds and pillows, big screen TV in living area (we watched our Kansas City Chiefs win Super Bowl LIV) as well as a TV and private bath in each bedroom. We really enjoyed the Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrellas, snorkel gear, boogie boards, washer/dryer, reserved underground parking spot, elevator, fantastic oceanside pool with plenty of lounge chairs, super clean grills, freshwater showers by the pool and the most incredible sunsets in the world! Hololani is located in Kahana, which is an area we really enjoy. Before going to the grocery store, check the kitchen cabinets. We found coffee filters, coffee to get us started, olive oil, and lots of spices. In the closet by the kitchen we had laundry pods and a few dryer sheets (we brought our own, so didn't need them). Check under the sink for trash bags, dishwasher pods (again, we brought our own), liquid dish soap, windex, etc to see what's there. It's nice to leave those things that you buy and don't use for the next group. Have a wonderful Maui vacation in this Hololani unit! Mahalo to Andrew and Rosalia! Aloha

Stunning View

It's all about the view! The view is a 10 plus, there is no arguing the view! You really can't get a better view. As other people have mentioned, the property does need a little TLC and the hosts have stated they price it accordingly and I agree with that; but little things that would take very little effort would help. The bathroom faucet in the master bath leaks all over the counter when it runs for few, hence the reason for the water build up around the faucet so it needs to be addressed. As someone mentioned before, the slider in the master bedroom needs attention; it was extremely hard to open, really stuck. A little bit of paint could go a long way in the property and give it a nice refresh as well as fixing the towel bar that is making holes in the bathroom door. I felt the cleaners could have been a little more detailed in their cleaning. I understand that it is a condo and there should only be starter items available which I am totally fine with - but an almost gone roll of paper towels, a used kitchen sponge instead of replacing it with a new one for each guest - is that something the cleaning crew is responsible for? if those little things won't bother you then this would be a great choice! Andrew was great with communication when we booked it and with any questions, we had prior to arriving, so I am only docking the cleaning part but wanted to mention a few things that could use improvement. Thanks so much for the amazing view!

We fell in love with Mamma Maui since the first time we visited in 1993. When we did get married we decided there was no other place to celebrate that big step, so we got Maui'd. Maui is now our other home in our heart and soul.

Why they chose this property

We have stayed at the Hololani so many times that when we had the chance to own there after we got maui'd, we jumped at owning this oceanfront piece of paradise. The number of bedrooms and size of the unit allowed us to share this amazing home with our family and friends. There is nothing like sharing some pupus and a tropical drink on the lanai and watching the spectacular sunset into the ocean.

What makes this property unique

The beautiful vegetation, spectacular scenery, amazing views, warm ocean and incredible sunsets captivated our minds and hearts. We especially like the Kahana area as it is so easy to get to so many beaches within 5 -10 minutes, the resort areas of Kapalua to the north or Ka'anapali. Only 15 minutes away from some of the best surfing and snorkelling on the west side of Maui.
