The house you are staying in has been in the family for over 100 years. One of the remaining granddaughters bought the property and renovated it making it more confortable. The house is fully equipped so as to make your stay, a pleasant one and as such, we ask that you respect the rules of the house.
The village of Seixal is enjoyed by tourists not only for its famous black sandy beach and espectacular mountain views but also because of the tranquility of the area. Within a few minutes´walk, you will find the mini supermarket/coffee shop called Amanhecer and on the main road there are also other small restaurants such as Solmar and Arcoiris.
There is also the well known forest called the Laurisilva in the nearby Chão da Ribeira with stunning scenery protected by the Unesco World Heritage. Here you will find hiking trails such as Caminho das Voltas, Vereda da Cavaca and Vereda dos Assobiadores. Also the much sought after Poço do Candeeiro.
The village of Porto Moniz is only a 15 minute bus ride and there you will find the famous volcanic rock swimming pools, banks, souvenir shops, restaurants, coffee shops and the Aquarium.
