This place is a dream!! Must stay if you’re planning on going to the national park or just wanting to enjoy the grand Tetons views with the comfort of a cozy cabin!
Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The property was breathtakingly beautiful, surrounded by stunning scenery that made every moment feel peaceful and special. It was quiet and quaint, the perfect escape from the busyness of everyday life. Everything about the home and setting made it easy to relax and truly enjoy our time away. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene getaway.
Had a great relaxing stay with the best sunrise and sunset views. Heard and saw lots of wildlife from the spa. Leslie and Don were both great to talk to and very responsive.
This is the perfect place to get away from it all. The stay was really quiet and comfortable. The hot tub with a view of the Tetons is amazing. The location is perfect - about 10 minutes to town with a huge grocery store and lots of restaurants.
This was the perfect house and location for our visit to the Grand Tetons and Targhee area. House was clean and comfortable with a great deck and amazing views of the Teton range.
Leslie and Don were excellent hosts. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.
The cabin was wonderful - very clean and incredible views. The hot tub was amazing for stargazing at night. Great location near Tetonia and Driggs. Leslie was a great host and checked in with us to ensure we had everything we needed. We will be back!
Hubby and I with our chocolate lab enjoyed our stay at the guest house! The owners are so helpful with instructions and provided everything we needed to be comfortable. So close to Grand Targhee for skiing and also to town for restaurants. Loved the amazing views and the peace and quiet on their 45 acres. Such an amazing place and we will definitely be back.
Here for summer. The deck and view is big selling point. Very quiet as well. Check in easy. Kitchen a bit limited but functional and BBQ grill seen better days. Some wear and tear showing in places but overall comfortable. Leslie and Don are great to work with and responsive.
Beautiful view. So nice to have a hot tub or sauna after skiing. Driggs only 10 minutes away with a great grocery store great restaurants. Furniture and amenities in the place needs some upgrading, but very spacious.
Everything with our stay was great. Location to Yellowstone, Teton Park, and Jackson Hole was very convenient. Cabin was layed out well. The only concern, which is small, was that the throw rug in the guest room curls up on the corner causing a potential tripping hazard. I tripped over it once, and just having knee replacement almost caused me to trip. Also, grab rails would help by the toilet.Other than that it was a great stay.
This was a beautiful two bedroom one bathroom apartment above the garage. The place was clean and ready for us when we got there, with instructions and extra information on the counter. It was not far from the grand targhee ski resort and teton canyon. Only negative I have was that the apartment was a little too warm for me during the day with only the window unit AC on high but it cooled down at night which was great. Host was very responsive to questions and suggested great advice for activities in the area. My favorite thing to do was sit on the deck or in hot tub and stare at the mountains in the distance in the evening after a busy day.
Stayed here for our honeymoon. Leslie was very quick with communication and the cabin was beautiful! The hot tub was awesome and the views are amazing. Definitely recommend!!
We enjoyed our stay, the views are so amazing and ending each day with some hottub time was perfect!! The house is fully stocked with everything you need!! We were up early and back late each night so we didn't get the opportunity to enjoy the other features the property offers. The drive into Yellowstone was longer then we anticipated but still made the commute a couple times. Thanks for allowing us to stay!
The views off the back deck are nothing short of spectacular. Whether watching a sunset, a rainbow or storms rolling in, it never disappointed.
Appreciated the bonus features of the sauna and hot tub after days with long hikes, and the kids thought the bunkhouse was the coolest thing ever.
Property owner is very friendly and responsive. The local area they information provided was quite helpful and appreciated.
With Yellowstone and the Tetons easily accessible, and all the major amenities you need in the nearby towns, it was a perfect setting for our family’s week-long vacation. Highly recommend.
We could not have been happier- ! Location to Tetons was great, lovely drive and coming home to jacuzzi under the stars was amazing! Leslie was wonderful!
Excellent hospitality with beautiful views of the Tetons
This property was perfect for our family of 4. Leslie was very welcoming and made us feel at home, offering suggestions of activities in the area and the best hikes nearby. The cabin was clean, the deck overlooking the Tetons was perfect for dinner or morning coffee, and was in a remote setting yet not far from town. We hope to return!
Everything was perfect. The house and location was just what we were looking for to relax in for a few days after expiring the state parks. We just hung out at the house and enjoyed the beauty or the land, the hot tub, fire pit with s’more, late nights star gazing and the kids loved the kids bunk house. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place for our family. The near by town of victor was also a lot of fun with some of the best milkshakes
The location and views are incredible. Leslie is a dream to work with on your stay. With the deck, hot tub, fire pit and chairs on the lawn you never want to go inside the house.
We loved our stay. Leslie was so friendly and welcoming. The property is beautiful. We loved sitting on the back deck each night. Driggs is a great place to visit for dinners out, but the kitchen was also well stocked. We also really enjoyed the beautiful artwork throughout the house. It took about 1.5 hours to get into Grand Teton, but we still made the trip multiple times. We also took Leslie’s suggestion and hiked Darby Canyon, which our teenagers absolutely loved.

About the host
Hosted by Leslie Roth
Don and Leslie Roth live in a log cabin on the property. Don is a retired professor and administrator at University of Wyoming. Leslie also worked at UW and was a former junior high Reading teacher. They are avid hikers and skiers who have explored most of the back country in the area. They have 3 children and 7 grand children who love Thistle Dew.
Why they chose this property
Don and Leslie Roth have lived in Wyoming since 1978. They purchased the 45 acres of land in Tetonia in 1996 to build a family vacation home. Thistle Dew Cabin was built by the Roths after 10 years of hard work. Thistle Dew Guest House was begun in 2008 and completed in 2009. It was built to accommodate a growing family of grandchildren who all love the area. Summer vacations and every other Christmas are now spent at Thistle Dew.
What makes this property unique
The property is surrounded by beauty and tranquility. It shares the 45 acres with Thistle Dew Cabin but it is totally unique. The area offers all the outdoor activities the Roth family enjoys. When the moon comes up behind the Tetons or the snow geese fly over head in the fall it is magical.
