We had a wonderful time in Wallingford at this property. Christopher the owner was helpful and very accommodating. The house was charming and had everything you need. We hope to be back next summer!.
This home was ideal for our needs! Spacious and open with all of the amenities needed for an easy relaxing stay. Thoughtfully appointed, neat and tidy. Sleeping areas are plentiful. Lots of room to relax and gather, perfect for a small to medium group (there were only 4 in our party and a small dog). The screened outdoor dining area and back porch with Adirondack chairs overlook a fenced in area (perfect for the dog). It includes a fire pit area, picnic table and grill. The spring fed dipping pool is a nice bonus!
The local area is great for walking, tree lined streets and charming homes.
We would highly recommend this property!
We stayed in this property for a long weekend and wedding. The house was exactly as shown and described. The property owner was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Great location in Wallingford! Could not have asked for anything better!!
CHRISTOPHER was extremely prompt in his responses, easily accessible and happy to help! Our ac was ok and the plunge pool filled upon our arrival. Having a fenced in yard was great for the kids and dogs. Great spot, great host, great weekend!!

Spacious & Beautiful Home - perfect place to stay in Vermont
The pictures do not give this home justice. It was super clean, spacious and warm. It was a perfect place to spend with family while it snowed. 20 minutes to Okemo. Christopher was great host. He made sure everything we needed was available and he even got a work out, shoveling the snow. Our dogs loved meeting Indy and Commerce.
Thanks Again!

Fantastic in every respect
The house is marvelous. The interior is thoroughly modernized and decorated tastefully and comfortably. The kitchen and bathrooms are hospitable, modern and clean. WiFi works and the TV is too. Very recommended.
Note that Wallingford had no grocery store so either bring some with you or head over to nearby Rutlay for supplies.

Great location. It was close to Rutland and Killington area.
From the moment we went inside the house, we were in awe. The layout was open and had a lot of character. Christopher had a nice bottle of wine for us along with unlimited firewood for the firepit which we took advantage and enjoyed very much. My kids also enjoyed the fresh water pool. All in all, we had a great time staying at the house and would definitely stay again when we visit the area. Thank you Christopher for the hospitality and the clear and concise communication. We truly appreciate it.

Awesome!
My nieces and I really enjoyed this property along with my dog! Everything needed was provided, from extra blankets, to a fully stocked kitchen, games, info on local attractions, he even provided a s'mores kit for the girls and a bottle of wine for me! The pool was refreshing, my 5 yr. Old neice loved it! The surrounding area has lots of activities for both adults and children! We went to the mountain coaster, horse back riding, to the lake, and visited local shops! I would highly recommend this property! Thanks Christopher!

The house was wonderful and Christopher was great. He let us check-in early and we found a bottle of wine and Smores kit on the island and fresh eggs in the refrigerator. We will definitely rent from him again! Awesome vacation!

Terrific house in downtown Wallingford
We stayed for a weekend and wish we could have stayed longer. The house is in perfect shape and has everything you need - fire pit, grill, plunge pool and full kitchen. Everything is super clean and easy to use. And the space is great for 6-8 people.

Charming!
We loved our stay at this charming home. The home had everything we needed and more, for a week long stay. Christopher was a welcoming host...my daughter and I became ill on our stay, and Christopher brought us honey to complement the divine English Breakfast tea already provided in the unit. There was ample space to accomodate my family of five. Walked away with many design ideas, as this remodeled Parson’s home is right out of HGTV. If you are looking to add some new furnishings/lighting to your home I would suggest bringing an extra car and visiting the mill. We brought home a little bit of VT. The drive to Killington was only 30 minutes. Would highly recommend this property for both Winter and Summer visits!

Charming home, great for group visits
My group stayed in this home for a girl's ski weekend and had a wonderful time! The home was well appointed with plenty of linens and kitchen supplies for a group of 7 women. We all LOVED the decor and style of the home - the pictures do not do it justice! Chris had the fireplace on and a bottle of wine for us when we arrived which was a nice touch. We were about 40 minutes from Killington and 15 minutes from Rutland where there were many shops and restaurants and a few grocery stores. We didn't end up bringing our dog, but it was nice that the home was dog friendly (we weren't a huge fan of the dog enclosure in the basement however - seemed kind of like a doggy prison). Overall, we would definitely come back again and would recommend this home for people traveling in groups.

Thanks for the nice review.
I liked the part about the indoor dog kennel being like "a doggie prison." Many of our visiting guests bring multiple dogs so this climate controlled kennel is more like a room featuring a flat screen tv so they can watch Animal Planet while being kept safe and sound until their owners return.
Large enough for a few dogs and with a full size 8ft ceiling.
Thanks again

Perfect for multiple families w/ teens
We were 9, including 6 teens plus a dog. The house is beautiful, spacious, well laid out and very comfortable. We cooked most of our meals in the modern kitchen, or on the grill outside, w/ plenty of seats all around.
The spring fed soaking tub got lots and lots of use. The fire pit was wonderful in the evening and the carriage house was a great spot for the kids. What a treat! Our dog loved to roam the yard and it was great to be able to walk her along beautiful roads. Very close to gorgeous White Rocks park, swimming holes and Elfin Lake.
Christopher is an excellent host, very knowledgeable about the area and attentive when any needs arose We hope to stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend this rental.

Wonderful place! Modern, comfortable, deluxe home in picturesque town
Wow did we love this house! We rented it with another family, in total we were 4 adults with 2 kids. There was ample space and we would have been comfortable with even more people. Unlike most of what you can find in VT, it's fully renovated with nice modern furniture and it's also dog friendly. The layout was perfect for kids! The backyard is awesome with the little pool, picnic table, and porch. The downstairs is open floor plan so it's great for cooking and hanging out. The owner is so so nice and accommodating! He even took us to a river for gold panning and showed the kids how to do it. He couldn't have been nicer. The little beach at Elfin Lake (2 minute drive) was awesome because it has a nice shallow grade for little kids. It also has a nice sandy beach that kept everyone entertained for a whole afternoon. We've already rented this gem again for another weekend this summer. Love love love this place!

We absolutely loved this property! Clean, comfortable & dog friendly. The Town of Wallingford is adorable & we loved all the places to walk & sights to see. Christopher was a wonderful host & the fresh pumpkin muffins he left for us were a pleasant treat! This home has the old charm of a quaint Victorian home with updated features & furniture which make it perfect! The carriage house was perfect for our 2 teenagers & they loved having their own space as well.

About the host
Hosted by Christopher Dunigan
HandmadeinVermont.com is Vermont's premier gallery for hand crafted lighting, furniture, glassware and jewelry. This house was the original parsonage for the classic white congregational church next door to us.
Why they chose this property
This historic house is right next door to our 1820 mill building and we were delighted to acquire it and bring it back to it's former glory
What makes this property unique
In addition to the screened in outdoor dining room this house is part of the Church St. mineral spring. We've included an outdoor mineral spring soaking pool that is dog friendly for fun after hiking frolics.
