Refuge Bay is currently Alberta’s only 4- season Glamping destination, with hundreds of acres of land to explore. Take in all that nature has to offer in this unique getaway, without the need for your own camping gear or busy campgrounds.
Escape and unplug while you explore the gorgeous Parkland landscape & private preserved wetland lake. The area has plenty of wildlife to keep you entertained, so bring your camera or binoculars.
The state-of-the-art geodesic dome has a massive bay window to take in the breathtaking views, as well as a transparent roof so you can spend your evenings gazing at the stars.
You will also have private use of the wood-fired barrel sauna, no need to wait in a queue, book a time, or rush when you are at Refuge Bay.
Cook your meals in the great outdoors on the campfire grill or propane BBQ. We'll send a list of what we supply and what you'll need to bring when you make your booking.
We will be readily available to answer any questions, only a phone call or text away but we also appreciate you may be looking for a secluded and remote getaway so we strive to never impede that.
You will be going through our pasture land to get to the remote site, so if gates are not your thing we will be happy to meet you and open and close them after you. Very easy-to-follow instructions will be included in the Welcome Guide as well.
Unique doesn't even scratch the surface in describing this area. Just over an hour northwest of Edmonton, the rural landscape is dotted with small lakes and mixed-wood boreal forest. Watch for moose, beaver, deer, waterfowl, and other boreal species.
No shoes in the dome or sauna.
