Quaint high valley farmhouse close to Capital Reef NP, hiking, fishing, hunting
The Farm Valley Inn was built in late 1800’s as a basement house by one of the early pioneer families of Wayne County. The house was renovated in the 1930s, the 1990s and then by us to share with our guests. The home is centrally located for touring the magical places of Southern/Central Utah. The house is about 20 miles from Capitol Reef National Park which offers hundreds of miles hiking and touring. The house holds views of Boulder and Thousand Lakes Mountains and is only 20 min to Fishlake high top.
The house in Lyman is only about 20 miles from Capital Reef National Park, 90 miles from Bryce Canyon National Park, 60 miles from Hanksville, 50 miles from Boulder, and very close to trails leading into Thousand Lakes and Boulder Mountains for fishing, hunting, and wildlife viewing
The home has Kitchen/Dining/Family room in one area for easy get-togethers. There's a television in the Living room and the Family room with streaming capabilities. There's a good-sized patio with barbeque for grilling.
The Valley has wonderful temperatures in the spring and summer and early fall. It is cold in the winter with periods of snow.

This is a great option, easy check-in and checkout . Great access for what we needed, clean, and host was very friendly. I highly recommend this property.
The property was so clean and very large. We had plenty of everything that you could possibly need when traveling. Very enjoyable. I would definitey stay here again if back in the area.
Pillows were flat and not very comfortableTV was really small for the space and could easily be bigger for minimal cost Overall property was clean and worked well for what we needed
Adorable house centrally located to Capital Reef and several landmark parks. The owner was very nice and promptly answered any questions. The kitchen was well appointed and everything super clean! Nice family feel. Highly recommend.

We really appreciated hosting Heather and her party. What great guests. I hope they can return in the future should they travel to our area again.
We loved staying at the Lyman house. Very spacious and incredibly clean. The host had several things for the guests that were very thought out and considerate. Close access to capital Reef. I would definitely recommend and stay again.
2 night stay while we hiked the area. Communication with host was smooth and easy. House is clean, comfortable, and has tons of thoughtful extras that set it apart from main stream rentals. We give it our highest rating and would definitely recommend it to others.
Came to stay and have a day of exploring Capital Reef and Goblin Valley. Clean property. Beautiful views of surrounding valley and fields. Host was super attentive and helpful, even stopped by to help us with the TV. Definitely recommend.
Our host was terrific! He was very punctual with our questions. The place was very clean and nicely remodeled farm house. It was well stocked with yummy treats, coffee, and water as a nice touch. We addressed a few very minor issues with our host and he thanked us and said he would address. We would definitely stay there again.
We were on our way through the Canyon Lands and this was our one night stay in Lyman. Place was beautiful and everything was perfect. Enjoyed our stay and it worked out perfectly for our trip. My only suggestion would be reflectors or some type of markers for the driveway as it is rather difficult to see the driveway entrance at night. Otherwise I would highly recommend the home!
We were so thrilled to have so many extras! The coffee, creamer, oatmeal packets, Kleenex, shampoo, body wash, etc.
Your TV’s were easy to operate, the view was great! You made us feel so welcome! Thank you so much. 5 star VRBO!
The house was actually bigger than we thought from the pictures. The kitchen was well stocked. They had directions to help connect to TVs. The host responded to messages pretty promptly. With the transition from fall to winter, there were a lot of dead flies that kept showing up near doors and windows. But overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this house, especially for a dog friendly place close to Capitol Reef!
Our group of 6, spanning 3 generations, stayed at this house for 3 nights to visit Capitol Reef and Grand Staircase-Escalante. The house was very cute and clean, and stocked with coffee, tea, and snacks. My (very minor) critiques were: 1) the second bathroom is located off the kitchen and downstairs from the bedrooms, so just know that everyone will likely be sharing one bathroom during the night; and 2: there weren’t very many plates, and the ones the house had were too big to fit in the microwave and allow the plate to rotate. Again, these were super minor issues, and would not stop us from staying here again.
