Gorgeous view. Comfortable. Everything stocked in the kitchen for easy meal prep. Was definitely home away from home. My service dog was very relaxed in this home which made me very happy.

Great House Great ammenities

We had an excellent stay. The house had everything we needed. The outside deck was great and the extra wide parking was awesome. Every room had a TV and it was a very cool home. Great access to the lake and pool area. Lots of places to eat nearby.

Beautiful home on Big Sam

Nice place for a getaway. I stayed here with my parents for a weeklong fishing trip. House was very clean and in a very nice neighborhood. Location is convenient to boat ramps and close to a couple of convenience stores. Would book again.

We booked this VRBO because it was advertised as being lakefront on Sam Rayburn, which was important since we planned to fish and keep our boat at the property. Unfortunately, the listing didn’t match our experience.With the lake approximately 7–10 feet below normal pool, there was no view of the water from the house or even from the elevated deck. The path down to the shoreline was steep, very muddy, and heavily overgrown with vegetation, making it difficult to access the boat safely. Because of the low water, leaving a boat at the shoreline during our stay was not practical.The house itself was fine, the pool was huge and clean but if you’re a fisherman choosing this property specifically for convenient lake access, be aware that the experience will depend heavily on the lake level. During low-water conditions, don’t expect easy access to your boat or a visible lakefront view. I hope this helps other anglers make an informed decision.

Perfect Getaway

Nice location, beautiful view. It was very peaceful. Neighbors were friendly and nice. Wish we would have stayed one more day. Our host Jenny was always available when needed. I would definitely recommend to someone and would visit again. 😊

Very comfortable home. The view was awesome, the first day we had rain and we were able to enjoy the view outside on the deck. The pool is walking distance and the kids had plenty of things to do from the pool and the basketball court we enjoyed every minute. I launched the boat at a near by ramp and drove it to the house property. Good for guys with boats and a family.

was not clean back porch was dirty and house is in need of repairs. Shower leaks flooring popping up sheets needed changing sofa bed filthy. back porch was dirty in need of pressure washing. Not enough outdoor lighting. House did not live up to VRBO listing. I thought we were getting a better house than last year and was very disappointed. Paid more thinking I was getting a better place.

The full size bedroom, had a dental stick under the comforter and a lot of particles (like food) all over the bed. First bathroom had the toilet roll fall off.Spiderwebs were all over the baseboards in the kitchen along the big windows. Keurig coffee pot did not work. But, overall a great place and we will return again next year. Our 1st annual cousin getaway was a success Thank you

Home for the Holidays

We needed a home away from home for my family and found it on the lake . We prepared a Thanksgiving dinner here and had everything we needed - big kitchen and ample seating both indoors and out . We had exactly what we needed for a larger group - extra towels , washer and dryer, and access to the house from 2 stair cases which was important bc we had age ranges from 18 months to 83 years.. we also had room to stretch out . There was plenty of room for the family and dogs . The owner was very flexible and helpful and we were able to rent a second home for my sister and her family. So we got an entire holiday experience on the lake . What a lovely Thanksgiving.

Spring break fishing

The house was clean and looked to have many fixtures and such recently updated. My son did notice that the shower in the hall bathroom leaked water from one corner when used. The kitchen was reasonably stocked but if you plan on cooking, I would advise to bring your own pans, foil, etc. There were plenty of plates and silverware. There is no dishwasher, which was not an issue for us, but we did have to buy some dish soap. Only 2 dish towels were provided as well. I would also recommend bringing a few bath towels - we had 5 adults but only 4 bath towels were left out. I did find 1 extra in the cabinet. There is not a celing fan in the bunk room. We had great success with fishing, super nice to have a small cleaning table under the deck area. Overall, we had a great time and would consider staying here again.
