Holiday Vacation-Property Misrepresented

I have booked VRBO rentals numerus times and have never left a negative review until now. I was told by Vacasa the property was completely fenced in (which was a requirement for me due to having a dog) prior to booking the rental. You can walk right around the front gate and the property is on the side of a steep Mountain and not fenced in. The property isn't secure for pets or children. The inside cabin itself was ok, but small. Bed is rock hard. The TV isn't a smart TV, so will need a ROKU if you want to stream anything. The internet was also down several times in my stay. It also had not been dusted inside for sometime. I was told by Vacasa (via VRBO correspondence)the property was completely fenced in prior to me booking the rental which is false. I believe Vacasa misrepresented the property to book a rental. See below . "Hello Rob,We appreciate your interest in our home. Yes, our home does have an enclosed yard, and the entire property is fenced in, including the area below the hill. This should provide a safe space for your furry companion to enjoy during your stay.If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please feel free to ask. We’re here to help.Best regards,vacasa.com"I reached out to Vacasa I contacted Vacasa about misrepresenting the property and they just told me to contact VRBO. Beware if you have pets or kids, the property isn't secure!

Great location

First off I really hate leaving less than a 5 star review but I feel a truthful review can help she owners and future renters. Let’s start with the good, the property is in a great location, secluded but not far from Bryson, Cherokee, Sylvia etc. it was very clean and had all the essentials needed without having to run to the store. Nice big shower/tub combo that never ran low on hot water. Now for the bad, we arrived at the cabin after driving 5 hours and could not get in with the code from the smart lock. At first I thought the lock might have been smarter than me but my girlfriend tried and had no luck also. We called the management company and was able to get in through a manual key and lock. Everything else was fine until the last day when we returned from an outing and realized the power was out. It was dark so we were using phone lights trying to find flashlights and candles. Another call to the management company at 7:00. They informed us there was an outage and power would reset at 9:45. Well at 12:45 still no power. Another call to management and it was restored around 1:00. I understand it is of no fault of the owner it was just an inconvenience. All in all we enjoyed our visit with a couple hiccups. I would definitely recommend the cabin to any of my family and friends and we would love to return one day for another visit. Thomas and Kelly Charleston, SC

Perfect Getaway

This tiny home was the perfect little getaway. Located just 10min from stores and/or restaurants but still secluded. When we walked in there were smells of wood and other sweet aromas. The property is kept very clean and stocked with everything you may need. I do recommend AWD if you travel during the fall/winter months due to the driveway. I would recommend staying here and would definitely stay again myself!

Nice place to stay.

The house was very comfortable, clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Close to our destinations of Bryson City, to ride the train, Maggie Valley to visit the Wheels Through Time Museum, Dillsboro and even though a bit of a drive, Biltmore, where we visited for the day. Very tranquil and quiet location. Would stay here again!!!

Clean, cute, cozy cabin!

This cabin was so picturesque and cute! One of the first things we noticed upon arrival was how cozy the cabin felt and how clean it was. Everything in the cabin felt very new as well. It made for such a wonderful getaway! Some things to note is that there are toiletries and towels at the cabin, so no need to bring your own. The cabin is also at the top of a steep, winding hill, so make sure you have an AWD car. The cell service and wifi are also a bit slow / spotty, but there are some restaurants nearby that have stellar wifi if you need faster service. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here and I would reserve this cabin again if we were ever back in the area!
