Oceanfront house with panoramic views of the western side of Culebra with over 4,200 sq.ft., by Bahia Linda beach and Bahia Sardinera with 2 private docks overlooking town and ferry entrance. This private estate has access to snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, boating, fishing and many more activities. The home has 360 degree views of the ocean and has a breathtaking infinity pool overlooking Bahia Linda beach surrounded by nature and lush landscaping.

This ONE OF A KIND house is located in a peninsula and has 5 bedrooms, 5 baths, expansive/open great room/living area with equipped kitchen, large pantry with laundry, gazebo, and 2 sun decks. The bedrooms are divided into two (2) separate master suites with its private entrance and bathrooms; one queen size junior suite with private bathroom and 2 other bedrooms with 4 bunk beds each sharing one bathroom. There is a full guest bathroom outside by great room. Kitchen space is open/ overlooking great room with expansive counter space with 8 stools perfect for entertaining! The open living area is surrounded by decks and terraces; this house has been designed to make you feel like you are in a yacht! The house has capacity for up to 14 guests and is short distance to town, restaurants and shopping areas. The house is two steep hills from town, so a 4X4 jeep or vehicle is recommended.

Villa Tampico’s convenient layout provides for various alternatives depending on the number of guests, and can comfortably accommodate from 2 to 14 guests. Each bedroom has a TV and there is wireless internet service on premises.

Culebra island is approximately 20 sq. miles and is located between Puerto Rico’s northeastern coast and St. Thomas USVI. Access to the island is via air from Isla Grande airport or Ceiba or via ferry from Fajardo, PR. Villa Tampico is close to the airport, ferry, and beautiful beaches, one being Flamenco Beach, named by National Geographic one of the top 10 beaches in the world. Amazing vacation spot!

This rental was an incredible spot for our friends and family! Location was super convenient in town, easy accessible to the local market and restaurants. The landscape and pool was kid friendly and made it easy to spend the whole day on the property!

Beautiful Views from Every Room

Great place to unwind, watch the sunset, and listen to the waves. The property takes full advantage of its unique location on a peninsula--the decks, the pool, the gazebo, the great room give you views all around. The bedrooms are nice, too. A very private retreat that we enjoyed very much!

Surrounded by natural beauty!

Villa Tampico was a wonderful relaxing place to stay. We were lulled to sleep at night by the sound of the waves, enjoyed the open airiness of the kitchen and dining area, and a cooling dip in the pool was a great thing.The only difficulty we had was deciding which beautiful over-the-water view to enjoy; north, south or west! Sunsets are amazing and if you enjoy birding the pelicans, oystercatchers, and hummingbirds will keep you entertained.Check in was a breeze. Edwin took great care of us and he keeps the property in tip top shape.We loved our 10 days there.

Fantastic accommodations and location!

Could not have been better! What a treat to spend a week with our entire family in paradise. The views are incredible and the outdoor living space was wonderful. We had such a great time and even cooked Thanksgiving dinner. The island is beautiful and the people are friendly. After traveling throughout the island, we were convinced that we had the best spot!

Vacation in Paradise!

This property is probably the best in Culebra. Not only is the location perfect but the house is a dream. Totally equipped for anything that you may need seed the stage for a perfect vacation. The hosts are super responsive and have paid attention to every detail that guarantees you will have an unforgettable experience. We are very grateful and feel lucky to have been able to enjoy it.

Beautiful property

The house, views and common living spaces are spectacular. Especially compared to most accommodations on Culebra. It was nice that they had someone willing to help us get a rental vehicle because it is necessary. I would rate it a solid 5 stars except that the beds are really uncomfortable and we did not get pillow cases or top sheets for many of the beds.

We felt so welcome

Joe's place is a quiet, clean, spacious and calming place. The house has it all, It is the best location home in Culebra, Puerto Rico. The sound of the waves were just like music to our ears. Peaceful home. The whole place made us feel at ease. Joe was very nice, easy to talk to and very friendly when he welcomed us. He even took us to the store to pickup some groceries. I would definitely come again!

Villa Tampico is the best spot in all of Culebra

My husband and I stayed for a week in March. It is a beautiful well thought out and designed space. Joe took great care in building it. Plenty of room. I spent my morning sitting in different chairs and drawing the different views. There is not much at all to do in Culebra but relax which was why we went. Flamenco beach is a must. I loved that you could rent chairs and umbrellas and eat good food. I am a fussy traveler and Villa Tampico is 5 stars all around.

Amazing 50th anniversary with our extended family

We were thrilled to celebrate our 50th anniversary with our family in the most special place in the Caribbean!! Everything was beyond our expectations from the first moments of arrival to our departure. The house created something impossible to describe. Michele our host and Edwin the house go to person were extremely welcoming, treated us like family and became friends during our stay. We planned this trip over a year ago. There is no comparable place in the island. If you are fortunate enough to book a stay, you will not believe all of the memories that will be created here. Highly recommend!! D&K plus ten family members.

Wonderful spot in paradise

We had a really wonderful time at Villa Tampico. The only downside was we couldn't stay longer, because I would still be there! Culebra is a great little island and Tampico is the perfect place to enjoy it all. Staying at the house is like having a private resort, with beautiful views and easy access to town. There were eight of us, two families of four, and we rented a couple jeeps to get around the island. We also rented Jet Skis one day and went out on a boat for snorkeling and fishing another day. Joe was very helpful when we arrived, and both he and Michelle are so kind to have let us share their little piece of paradise. Thank you!

Unbeatable location on beautiful Culebra

This property is very unique in that it is comprised mainly of three sleeping areas and one outdoor common/kitchen area. This works perfect for visiting tourists up to14 count. The property is located on a point with 270 degrees of ocean view and is centrally located only minutes from groceries and downtown. Note that you can not access the property with a golf cart and must have a rental jeep. The only ding that this property could get was the condition of the carpets in the bedroom areas which almost appear original to the house, but then you don't have to worry about walking on them with your shoes on. A beautiful location, well worth the cost.

ATTENTION! Most Spectacular House on Culebra

It pains me to write this because then everyone will want to stay here! BUT, truly, there exists no better place to stay than Villa Tampico. We have been visiting the island since 1995 and rented a myriad of places; this is the best. Communication with the hosts is perfect. The house is very private, close to town and situated on a peninsula with terrific views and breezes in all directions. Cooking in the kitchen with those views is a chef's delight! The infinity pool is a perfect for a dip any time of day. There are so many outside seating areas it's hard to find time to sit in ALL of them...even during a two week stay. Stay away :))))))) !!!!!

Magical Place

This was the dream place for my family to meet, gather, celebrate, cook together, play games, work puzzels, go snorkeling, watch the sunrise AND the sunset in a stunning, picturesque setting.... and so much more. We love to cook together and congregate and the lay-out of this villa was just prefect. One can wonder off and have privacy or join the goings-on in the common area. We had a magical time for 6 days at Villa Tampico and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a gathering of 10 - 14 people. I believe my family was sufficiently impressed that I found this place!! And I didn't mention how gracious the host was. Delightful people helping out. Just one thing I didn't know, there's a climb to get to there and if you are going back and forth, carrying groceries and the like, rent a JEEP!! You'll be glad you did.

Nice enough but needs work

I’ve been to Culebra before and am familiar with the small island vibe, which is frankly what I love about it. However, I expect a good level of care and cleanliness when staying at a villa due to the cost. My entire group got eaten alive by bugs, which they could’ve protected us against by spraying the grounds or at least providing some guidance on how to avoid/prepare for them. Even in my room, I got literally dozens of bites while I was sleeping. It may have been due to the time of year and excess rain but it still wasn’t a good time dealing with that. Similarly, many of the kitchen appliances and utensils were not in great shape/old/rusted/dirty. I expect more cleanliness when staying at a property like this. Great location and nice ambiance overall, however. Would just like to see more cleanliness and more caring hosts via advice/spraying of grounds.

Awesome Property!!!!!!!!!!

I am ashamed that it took so long to write this review. We found this property on VRBO and were lucky enough to be able to stay during our planned visit to Culebra. I would not stay anywhere else. This place is perfect in every way. Location is amazing, wonderful views, great amenities, and the list goes on and on...The owners are fantastic. Joe was unable to meet us, but had his local friend show us the property and he met us at the airport to guide us in. Their hospitality is a breath of fresh air. Joe and his friend went above and beyond to make our stay great and are the most accommodating people I have ever rented with. The posted pictures are amazing, and they don't even do it justice, if you can believe that. You have to experience this location. I would book my next trip to the island around the availability of Villa Tampico, as I would not stay at another location. This property cannot be improved upon in my opinion. We are looking at going back to this property with a larger group. There were only 4 of us but the place accommodates much more. A true taste of Paradise. Thanks!!!!!!

It's the Real Deal!!

This was the first time our family of 4 ever booked an online rental. I thought this house was too good to be true, maybe even a scam, even after I checked Google maps. But it is everything you see in the photos online and more. Your own PRIVATE resort, with views and water access that cannot be matched, truly one of a kind. Just be prepared to relax with the natural surroundings, tranquil 360 degree water views, private docks, private beaches, sunsets, iguanas, pelicans, manta rays, kayaking, warm sunshine, while watching the tides and listening the soothing sound of the water as it laps at the shores. All without leaving the property. The driveway even has a gorgeous view. The property is large, you have access to the whole property in the aerial view where you can see both docks, and there is private sand beach access to the cove, you cannot see in the photo. It is also close to the town, stores, restaurants, grocery, ferry, public beaches. And if you don't like flying on small planes, which I do not, the passenger ferry is very comfortable and fast, but try to avoid the slow boat vehicle ferry. The owners Michelle and Joe are unbelievably kind and accommodating. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back. You will not regret booking this house.

We had an awesome stay at Villa Tampico. The place was close enough to everything we wanted to do in Culebra including snorkeling directly in the water surrounding the house but private enough for quiet moments of seclusion. We had our Framily trip that included 9 adults ranging from 23-55 years old. Everyone enjoyed the open nature of the kitchen and other spaces. We would love to return!!

The view from the property is wonderful, as shown in pictures. So lets start there with 5 stars.-1 star for lack of privacy. We show up on Tuesday meet with Edwin, and then he is there randomly on Wednesday. I asked what is going on he said he had to check the pool and trash. I said ok, please let me know ahead of time if people are coming. He said he told me Tuesday, fine honest mistake. Then on Friday pool people come and 0 communication they just show up.-1 star. Lack of anything for the beach. Water in front of the house is not swimmable. Side with the docks is very shallow, but covered with rocks and sea urchins (which are venomous). Other side is very hard to get to and rocky. Ok no biggie lots of beautiful beaches on Culebra, including one very close. Oh wait there are no beach chairs, no umbrellas, and exactly one beach towel per person. Kayaks and snorkel gear on premises are for an extra expense only. There was a cooler we could use.-1 Star cleanliness / functionality. One bathroom was a mess with feces in the bathroom toilet, was it even cleaned? We were given a tour of the property and all the fans, well none of them work! Most of the time not an issue with the nice breeze except every night around 7pm the breeze would die for about an hour. The trash in the kitchen does not close properly and this leads to all kinds of insects (including cockroaches) being attracted. So make sure you take your trash out!

What a beautiful and relaxing experience! We had a great time on the island and on the property! Edwin was an attentive contact and offered great advice and support. Michelle helped when there were some travel issues. Can't wait to come back!

The listing doesn't even do this place justice. The views and accommodations were absolutely fabulous. We loved Culebra and this home made it all even better. We traveled with a group of 8 adults and we were all very comfortable. Waking up to coffee by the ocean and ending with the lovely views of the pool was such a treat. A couple of our group members even snorkeled at the base of the property. The private dock and small beach were just perfect. A jeep was absolutely necessary to get to the property itself, and 4WD was great when it was rainy. We will be coming back as soon as we can!!
