I would give this place a five star if nobody had to sleep in the loft. The loft was incredibly noisy as every sound from below carried and was magnified. The house is beautiful and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and even storage containers. The view is gorgeous. We enjoyed our stay and the house worked well for our needs.
Overall the location was great, with a great view and lots of quiet. Was great to see deer running freely in the backyard. House was clean and well supplied. Definitely recommend this place to families.

The house is so beautiful with great views. My kids saw deer each morning and were so excited. Everything is super clean and orderly. Very well maintained property. We almost felt like we were the first ones staying there, nothing looks used. They had everything you could need for a weekend stay!

We do have an efficiency apartment below the rental, but there are no adjoining doors between the rental home and the apartment. They are 2 separate living spaces.
So glad that you enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you again soon!!
Christmas Stay in Colorado – Truly MagicalWe had an incredible Christmas stay at this home. The view of the mountains was absolutely breathtaking, and our favorite moments were the early mornings on the porch with coffee, watching deer wander through the fields and the star-lit sky in the evenings. The kids were just as mesmerized by the scenery as we were. The house itself was very spacious, so even with our whole group we never felt cramped. When we had a little trouble getting the fireplace to turn on, Karla responded immediately and had someone come out—on Christmas Eve, no less—which we really appreciated. The home was fully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. While most things were about 30 minutes away in the nearest town, we honestly didn’t mind the drive. We still did so much and loved coming back to such a peaceful, beautiful place. We would absolutely stay here again. It made our Christmas truly special.

Thank you so much for your amazing review!! We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay and were able to fully enjoy the scenery and all the cabin amenities…including the deer. Lol We look forward to having you stay again! The spring and summers are beautiful too with lots to do.
We really took advantage of the spacious and lovely home in Colorado City! We entertained long-time friends by having a small dinner party. (They all admired the house as well as the scenery!) While it was just the two of us, there is room for more! The beds were comfortable, the AC was a HUGE blessing! And the location was perfect for my son's wedding at a venue in Rye, CO. We loved our stay! Thank you!
We just got home from a great weekend stay here in Colorado City. We rented for a weekend wedding at Brush Canon Ranch. The distance to the wedding venue was perfect, about 20 minutes.
Check in and check out were easy and smooth.
There are two bedrooms downstairs with very comfortable beds and one shared bathroom, then a loft with a single bed, queen bed and couch (all of which are very comfortable) and another shared bathroom up there. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and a nice coffee bar.
The views from the back deck were beautiful for a quiet cup of coffee in the morning.
Very nice stay, thank you for your hospitality!

Overall it is a great property. New, nice and well decorated. However here are some items that caused us some problems: (1) we could not enter the property because the wrong arrival information was in the system. (2) the distances to other areas shown on the vrbo listing was not accurate. They were much further. (3) the large ceiling fan did not work. (4) the door to the back deck - the door knob came off when trying to open it (5) the kitchen is well equipped except the coffee pot did not work, there were no baking dishes, no pizza pan or cutter.

Helen, I’m glad you enjoyed your stay! I apologize that the code was off. I’m glad we were able to correct that as quickly as we did for you. In reading your review we discovered our VRBO account had been hacked and changes had been made to our description. We are working on getting that changed. Thank you so much for letting us know about the coffee pot and door knob. The coffee pot was replaced and the door knob was repaired. As far as the pizza pan and pizza cutter, we thought we had thought of everything, so thank you for bring this to our attention.. The fan is in working order, it has a remote on the coffee table to turn it on not a light switch. Again, we are glad you enjoyed our property and hope to see you again soon!
The house is beautiful and cozy, and the view is spectacular!
Being a new house, everything looked and smelled brand new. We especially loved the deck overlooking the mountains. It was a real treat to sit in the cool morning shade and enjoy a cup of coffee with such a majestic view. Our teenagers also liked the griddle-style grill for cooking burgers and chicken like from a restaurant!
The main level has two bedrooms that are conveniently located near the bathroom, which were great for our 11 year old and my husband and I. The loft area offers an open concept with the other two beds and a couch. Our older teens loved the loft because there’s also a tv for entertainment. However, this setup may not be the best for younger kids as the upstairs is completely open with no doors, aside from the bathroom.
The kitchen provided all the tools needed to prepare and store our food. We especially loved the gas stove!
Overall this house was exactly what we needed to enjoy our stay and we will definitely stay here on future visits!
