About this property
Private Couple's Retreat Mountain Chalet
This exceptional retreat home is a 2 bed/2 bath mountain chalet that sits at the end of a private drive tucked away on a wooded lot. This home boasts amazing privacy with the surrounding wooded acreage that is highlighted by mature hemlocks, rhododendron and large boulders. The privacy is sublime but the view is even more impressive as the chalet sits on a “stone ledge” that overlooks the fishing locally renown Beaver Creek. Guests will enjoy the sound of moving water most months of the year as they sit on the chalet’s front deck. The home even includes walking trails that allow folks to further explore and enjoy this exquisite mountain getaway.
As guests walk through the front door they will be greeted by the well-appointed kitchen with gas fireplace. As you leave the kitchen and move into the home, floor to ceiling windows and vaulted ceiling make this home’s great room a quick favorite. On cold Fall or Winter nights the great room’s propane log fireplace creates the coziest of evenings. The 1st floor Master Suite, down the hall from the great room with king bed and private full bathroom invites rest and relaxation for couples looking to get away to the mountains in style and comfort. The spiral staircase opens up to a small landing and 2nd master suite with a queen bed and full bathroom. This mountain chalet makes for the perfect couple’s retreat!
Firewood is available for purchase for $20. Please let the host know if you would like to add it to your reservation!

We loved this property. It was very close to Ohiopyle State Park but very quiet. Pictures did not do it justice. Beds are comfy, kitchen is well stocked, grill was really nice. Back deck was amazing for sitting out in the evening. Everything was very clean. I highly recommend this property.
We enjoyed every part of this trip. The property owner/manager took the time to meet us and show us around with specific directions which helped us find the location with ease. The property is so conveniently located near Ohio Pyle right off 40, but is quiet and secluded with a beautiful view of Beaver Creek from the large deck. The property came well equipped with everything we needed, with well thought out extras and convenience.
This cabin exceeded our expectations. The property is tucked away, quiet and absolutely stunning. We spent most evenings on the back deck overlooking bear creek.
It was the perfect getaway. Beautiful property, clean & easy to find things around the house that may be needed. Lots of information on things to do in the area & local restaurants. Will recommend.
We we're in the area to see Frank Loyd Wright's Falling Water and Kentuck-Nobb homes. This place is perfectly located for that and also had fantastic hiking in Ohiopyle state park! The owner, Brad, was a great guy and easy to get a hold of but allowed you your privacy. You could tell a lot of effort has been put into every last detail in the home! We'll definitely stay here again.
If you are wanting to be near adventure during the day and peace during the evening then this is the place to stay. Not far from the river/trails with a beautiful running stream just below the deck. The host is great!
We were in the area with friends to see Fallingwater and bike on the Great Allegheny Passage. The cabin was very convenient to both and it is absolutely beautiful. Brad is a wonderful host who supplied everything we could have expected and more. Highly recommend, but the second bedroom would be hard for someone who cannot go up a tight spiral staircase. Will be coming back!
I’ve always wanted to see FLW’s masterpiece Fallingwater in real time, so while planning my vacation I was elated to find the beautiful Stonebrook chalet on VRBO.
I was happy to meet Brad and be lead to a private road as secrets as Bruce Wayne’s Bat-cave only much nicer!
Tucked away and in a dream like wooded atmosphere awaited Stonebrook. An “MCM Chalet” that sits above a peaceful stream of actual falling water. What a beautiful setting.
Never mind the current television subscription based entertainment on various devices, come to visit Stonebrook, sit on the rear deck and enjoy some of the best “streaming” of your life.
This was a memorable and outstanding minivacation in every way possible. Our homeowner was thoughtful and generous in planning, huge bowl of fresh hand fruit waiting for us, and later in the weekend gave us a bottle of wine! The kitchen was modern, comprehensive and convenient. It was also very well stocked with condiments etc, so you don't have to worry about bringing a bunch of things for a short stay. The 4 of us were comfortable with a master bedroom and loft bedroom for our college daughters. Spacious, tons of light, beautifully decorated. The most amazing feature was that the unique home was built just above a rushing stream, allowing numerous hiking opportunities to get down to the river, take in nature, meditate, picnic etc. It really felt like we were in a Falling Water home of our own, just a few minutes away from the original. Conveniences of pamphlets on local entertainment, restaurants and recommendations on white water rafting etc were available to us, which was much appreciated, as we hadn't researched anything. Rainy evenings so we couldn't do fire pit, pool table was great
Saved best for last, the most unbelievable thing of any of VRBO stays, was that our car developed a full flat overnight. Brad came to our rescue and spent close to 2 hours on a weekend morning to find and patch the hole in the tire, allowing us to get quickly back to enjoying our mini vacation without any stress. I was stunned by the helpfulness and generosity. You will love your stay!
Happy to escape our hometown of Lancaster, PA which has become overpopulated, over-built, and traffic congested. Nice to know PA still has woods, creeks, trails, and nature preserves to enjoy if only for a few days. Refreshes the soul to be out in nature and to come home to such as cozy, secluded chalet.
We had a lovely stay Stonebrook—fell in love with the place and regretted not booking a longer stay. Brad is an amazing host: responsive to any questions, meticulous in every detail on the property. He takes the time to show you how everything works for a most comfortable stay. The home is nestled in some of the healthiest, most beautiful forest we’ve seen in the eastern US—oaks and hemlock. Just beautiful. So quiet in the morning. The rocks and moss make the area right around the house feel like a Japanese garden. It’s worth taking the path down to the creek below the house. We loved everything about our stay, including playing a little pool.
Wonderful all around!
As specified on website. Helpful and informative owner and contact person.
Serene, warm, inviting environment.
Natural and lush.
Beautiful time!
It was clean, well appointed, loaded with everything we needed. The view from every direction of the house was gorgeous but the view down to the creek from the deck was unbelievable. Beds were comfortable, linens were top quality and kitchen was fully equipped with nice dishware and glassware. Would definitely recommend this property. Brad was a great host, met us at the house for check in and was very helpful with suggestions of things to do and see.
