Relaxing Lake Retreat

Recently renovated, this unit we call Old West Lake provides a relaxing retreat on Lake Montauk. Old West Lake comes equipped with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, linens, towels, large screen TVs, air conditioning throughout bedroom and living room area, access to private lake beach as well as kayaks and paddle boards to enjoy a summer on the water! Dine outside on outdoor deck space or in lighted dining area complete with gas grill and seating. Guests can enjoy a common seating area with Adirondacks and lounge chairs and a fire pit near the lake. Old West Lake is one of four units on this property at 71 East Lake Drive.

Pets and smoking are not allowed.

Please note that this unit has a grass path from the parking spot to the unit. There are three steps up to the deck.

I just love Kelly and Rick’s place. I’ve stayed here a number of times and it never disappoints. The property has a beautiful lake view, the unit is immaculate and well appointed and the location is perfect. Kelly is a pleasure to deal with. With any luck, I’ll be back in October

Wonderful Getaway

The host Kelly was incredibly kind and had a wonderful place for us to stay. She offered insight into things to do in the area and was open for giving recommendations or ideas for things to do. The stay was fantastic and I will definitely be looking to stay here again if I return to Montauk!

Montauk Lake Getaway

Always a pleasure staying at Duffy's on Lake Montauk

Second time staying at this lovely property and as always had a great stay. Beautiful property on the lake with everything you need to make the stay perfect (I especially liked the cookies). Had the pleasure of meeting Rick one of the owners of the property and he couldn't have been nicer. We will be back next year.

Everything about this VRBO was perfect for us. The minute we walked in we were impressed. It was very clean and well stocked. It was a perfect location to go to restaurants and the beach. We unfortunately had some rain while there but the porch with the umbrella let us sit outside to relax and read.

Great Stay in Montauk

After being underwhelmed by some previous highly-rated VRBO stays, I am happy to report this one completely lives up to its description and reviews. Wonderful accommodation and location - I can't think of anything I would change. Kelly is a great communicator and a pleasure to deal with.

This was a lovely property. We have been going to Montauk for years & this is the first time we stayed on the lake. It was quiet & peaceful with beautiful sunsets. The accommodations were nicely appointed & we appreciated the amenities. We will definitely go back.

Arriving was turn key and go. Loves the layout of the cottage. The entire place is immaculateSitting outside listening to birds & natural wildlife. Walking down to the lake I passed the outside BBQ area. Sitting on the Lake surrounded by peace & privacy.

Love Kelly and Rick’s place!

This was my second stay here and I will keep coming back! The location is beautiful! It’s private but everything you could need or want is minutes away. The cottages are beautifully decorated, very cozy and immaculate. I can’t say enough good things. Stay here…you won’t regret it!

Outstanding!! I am not one for reviews, however I would be remiss if I did not review our experiences. Kelly was super responsive, accommodating and understanding of our situation. If I could give her 10 stars I would. The property was as advertised, very clean and comfortable. I would definitely look to stay here again.

Paradise!

Old West Lake exceeded our expectations! The unit itself was the most well-appointed VRBO we’ve ever stayed in. The hosts thought of everything you may need or want while staying in your home away from home! From the available beach chairs, kayaks, grill with picnic area and fire pit (complete with fire wood and starters!) over looking Lake Montauk, this place is a little slice of heaven. The unit itself was clean and had many perks as well. We will definitely be back!

Montauk Memorial Day Weekend

Our trip couldn’t have gone any better, thanks to Kelly and the room. Kelly was timely and helpful in every question we had and made our trip seamless. The rooms were well kept, had many amenities, and were evidently taken care of, but our favorite part was the outdoor seating area which overlooks Lake Montauk and provides gorgeous sunsets. Kelly went above and beyond with recommendations of activities and restaurants in town and a little welcome gift. The only drawbacks were the lack of privacy come nighttime (the blinds didn’t conceal the room at night if lights were on inside) and the kayaks were outdated… however, we had an amazing trip thanks to Duffy’s on Lake Montauk.

Chicken soup for the soul!

Staying at Kelly’s lakefront property in Montauk was truly a healing experience. From the moment we arrived, the serene surroundings washed away the stress of daily life. The house was spotless and beautifully maintained, with every amenity thoughtfully provided. Whether sipping coffee on the deck in the mornings or winding down with a book as the sun set, the peace and tranquility here are unparalleled. Kelly thought of everything to make our stay so much more enjoyable and special, that we didn’t even need anything. Despite feeling like a secluded retreat, the property is just a short drive from town, making it easy to explore Montauk's charming shops and restaurants.
