We had a wonderful stay at this property. The home was very clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed for a relaxing trip. The garage parking was excellent—it kept our car secure and made accessing our bikes incredibly easy.The location is fabulous. It’s about a 60-second walk to the beach and within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops, which made everything very convenient. We could both see and hear the ocean from the living room, which made the space feel especially peaceful.One thing future guests should note is that the downstairs bedroom with the en suite is detached from the main upstairs living area, with exterior stairs connecting them. Because of that layout, it may not be ideal for young children or elderly guests who need to stay in the same interior space.Although the rental is pet friendly, the steep stairs could be challenging for some dogs, and there isn’t a particularly convenient nearby spot for quick potty breaks.The hosts were very helpful and communicative throughout our stay. Overall, we had a great experience.

We had a great stay at this property in Mission beach . The location was perfect .. just a short walk to the beach , restaurants, and shops. The house was clean and well kept, and the host was easy to reach. The layout was a bit tricky for our family as the second bedroom was downstairs which is completely separate… like a in-law unit . But, overall the place was fantastic. The large garage was a big plus! We hope to see you again next year . Thank you

Perfect location!! Fantastic vacation!!

We loved this place! It had a patio two houses in from the boardwalk where we barbecued, hung out and watched the most amazing sunsets. We road bikes up and down the boardwalk, my husband surfed and the kids rode boogie boards. There are lots of good restaurants and bars in walking distance. This place was in the perfect spot to see and do it all.

Nice place. Great location. However, no place to put clothes in 2nd bedroom. 3 drawers but no hooks or closet. We had to use our beds, TV & door handles. No AC when we arrived. Repair man was there but couldn’t get it going & it was a holiday weekend. Contacted mgr and it seemed they didn’t know it was out. They sent over window AC units but they only cooled the bedrooms. Nothing for the kitchen and living room. Not good for hanging out with family to watch TV, cook meals, play games or socialize. That was disappointing.

Great location, Great stay!!

Amazing location! I’ve stayed in many rentals over the past 20 years in Mission/Pacific Beach and this rental had more amenities than any other place I’ve stayed. They have thought of everything. We felt at home our entire stay. I would highly recommend staying at this rental. Note that the bottom bedroom is separate from the top kitchen, living area and bedroom. Worked out good for us. Also the garage is huge (for Mission beach) and can easily fit 2 standard size cars. We would absolutely return again!

Had a great stay. 50 strides to the boardwalk. Good size garage, though I did not drive, used the area to store my bike. Would be really good for a couple with teenage kids in the basement. The patio door does need to be fixed as the key/lock is just worn out but this is minor and the door locks just fine. Would be more than happy to stay again.

Great vacation home for family

I believe we were one of the first renters to this home, as from the looks of it, everything looked new and recently updated. The bathrooms, especially the downstairs, were very modern, clean and updated. Every detail, including the decor, made us feel as if we were at the beach. The best part is that we were! The house had this peak view of the ocean and I loved staring at it in the morning when I was drinking coffee. Lots of activity on the boardwalk and sand. The accessibility to the beach was perfect, as we watched almost every sunset when we stayed at the home. I'd highly recommend this property to any family looking for a wonderful beach vacation rental. Especially since the house has a nightly rate, booking at a time that was convenient to us was ideal!

Great Location

Overall: fine. The location can not be beat so if that’s what you’re looking for, you’re in luck. Ample beach gear by the host was helpful. Kids beach toys in the outdoor storage bin. Comfortable sleeping, amazing showers. Outdoor shower does not work, but there is a hose to rinse sand off your feet. Lots of ants. No full length mirror in home. Living room furniture is gross and smells like wet dog. Second bedroom (2 twins and 1 bath) is ONLY accessible by entering through the garage or from the outside patio in the back. Not ideal for a family of 4 with 2 children ages 5 and 11. It is in the “things you should know” however we somehow completely overlooked that detail. Overall, would book again based off of location alone. A 30 second walk to the beach/2 min walk to the bay made up for all that was lacking.

Awful stay, avoid it!

Place was dirty when we arrived. The company did send a cleaning crew after complaint. The bottom floor was only accessible by the garage door. The garage door opener did not work on thw last night, called in an emergency work request. They never fixed it, the bottom floor had 2 beds. My guest were worried about where they were going to sleep. After 11pm, I worked on the issue and fixed it. Never got a response from my emergency work request from the company.

Perfect place to stay for a family vacation

When we arrived everything was just perfect. No issues at all. Great communication right from the beginning when we booked. No issues at all locating the place. No issues when we arrived. Great location so close to the beach. The split unit wasn’t a bother really because the teens loved having their own space below. There were plenty of good pots and dishes to make some meals. The shower outside was used several times a day and was a huge plus. The garage was huge-it for our full-size suburban without a problem. It was nice to have a washer and dryer through the week. Plenty of towels for the week. Lots of beach chairs which was nice when we had a friends come meet us on the beach. They even had a cooler for beach trips. The AC worked great in both units. And they had extra fans if you needed them. The only thing that was a little irritating was the cable was in and out through the week. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t but then again-we weren’t at the beach to sit on the couch and watch tv so we just took it as a hint to get up and get out. The unit was cute and in great shape. The chairs at the table could use some tightening but it was no having 8 chairs around the nice big table. Couches were comfortable. The games and puzzles were fun. Great place for a week at the beach for our family.

Not a great experience

Where do I start... we arrived late at night after a long day of traveling and the bedding was disgusting! Hair and dirt. Clearly it had not been changed for awhile. We had to go out and buy new sheets. I contacted the manager the next day and they said "is there something wrong with washer and dryer?". When I arrive to a rental property I expect to not have to wash bedding. And then they said "thanks we will bring it to our cleaners attention." They didnt try to resolve the issue whatsoever. The house smelled musty. We went to open the window and one of them had no lock and a broken screen. That made us feel super safe of course. The floor was dirty. The furniture was old and stained in the living room. Cigbirns on the coffee table. There was a large colony of ants crawling all over the counters and in each of the rooms on the floor. We even found some in the bed. On day 2 the garage door broke with us stuck inside the garage. We had to physically move the door up and down to get in and out. They sent the maintenance team out but they weren't able to fix the door and sent someone to fix the door the next day but we were already gone. The cable also didn't work in the bedroom. Just a horrible experience overall. We will not be back.

Beach house on Whiting

This beach condo worked well for our family of 5; 3 upstairs and 2 teen boys downstairs. Condo is a hop, skip, and a jump to the beach! We had all the essentials provided included kitchen basics as well and shampoos, soaps, etc. I am a neat freak so it did bother me that I had to do some cleaning when we arrived. I could still feel sand particles (which is to be expected) on the floor along with other dirt… I had to completely vacuum the closet and bedroom floor upstairs- there were even a few dirty tissues under the nightstand. The microwave had not been cleaned and had pizza sauce smeared on front buttons and handle. The upstairs bathroom sink was clogged, however, it was fixed within minutes after the initial report. Had the condo been cleaner, I would give another star but that just wasn’t the case. Great location but I have a high level of cleanliness expectations. I think with the money we rented condo for, I thought it would definitely be cleaner.

Fly infested

Very dissatisfied with our stay, from the moment we got there it smelled like “raid” roach/fly killer!! Within 5 minutes noticed hundreds of flys on the windows and spent like 30 minutes swatting and spraying flys, absolutely disgusting!!!! This fly situation went on for 3 days!!! If that wasn’t enough the dryer didn’t work so we’re traveling home with wet clothes! Great location, unfortunately terrible rental experience.

Great rental!

Just spent 4 nights in this rental w/ a group of girls. The house was great and conveniently located to everything. It is stocked with most items that you need (dishes, bath towels, hair dryers, beach chairs, etc). We did bring our own beach towels. We received info via text regarding check in and check out and the whole process was very smooth. Highly recommend. Would definitely stay here again!
