Beautiful views from the rooftop lounge area. Great location with access to many activiies. Property manager extremely helpful! Thanks for an excellent stay.
Lori was very nice and helpful, the property has plenty of room.Roof bar and grill is very nice for entertaining ,big plus for the washer and dryer, near to the Walmart express and neighborhood felt safe at all time, love it, recommend
Place worked perfect for us. We had 8 of us and lots of space for everyone. The house was great and we were well taken care of by the manager, she was great. The roof top patio was amazing especially in the early mornings and the evenings. We felt safe in the area and walked to dinner a couple times. Uber worked very well for the times we didn’t have the access to the house vehicle. We would definitely book again if we decide to head back to Cancun.
Great property for a family vacation. Plenty of room for our group of 6. Unfortunately we had rain 6/10 days we were in Cancun. The covered rooftop was a great place to sit and avoid the rain. The home is conveniently located to get around town. Scott the property manager was excellent to provide local information. Would definitely recommend this property.
We picked the perfect place for my entire family to be together for Christmas. The property was large enough to accommodate us all. With plenty of rooms and plenty of bathrooms. We had enough supplies to cook dinner in the kitchen and grill outside. Thanks for the memories. One of our best Christmases ever.
The property was very accommodating. The host picked us up at the airport and brought us to the house. She opened the house for us and gave us the code. The house was cooled off for us. The house is equipped with all the things needed. The neighborhood was very friendly and safe. I would recommend this house.
This is a great home for a large group. The pictures accurately represent the house. We were attending a wedding with many people staying with us of all ages. The house, the owner and Lory who was 3 blocks away were all great. The 5 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths were in good shape and very comfortable. They are spread out on a couple of floors so you have privacy too. The roof top deck is on the 4th floor and is amazing. The use of the car was very helpful to us. Communication with Michael (owner) and Lory (property manager) was very helpful and fun. The book with all the needed info for Tranquility House and the area was very helpful.
Had to leave for health issues. Other than that all was great. Host very attentive and always making sure everything was ok. Pool was a bit away from property but, didnt have the need or health to use it. Will I be back? Yes I will.

Relaxing getaway spot
We had a wonderful stay for me and three buddies here for a fishing trip. A ways off the resort area (which we liked) although only 5 minutes to downtown Cancun and the Ferry to Isle de Mujeres (we walked there and spent a great day on the island), 10-15 minutes ride to the barrier Island Resorts. Unit appeared new with private baths for three of the bedrooms. Individual split unit A/C's in each room so everyone could set their own temperature. Great area upstairs for hanging out with covered thatch roof and bar. We hung out in the hammocks up there most morning and evening enjoying coffees or drinks. Only negative is the neighborhood is only half developed but there were no issues. In fact the caretaker for the unit (tony) lives nearby and was helpful in getting us around and with any issues we has during our stay. Be sure to try out the little restaurant outside the gate. Just a tiny outdoor eatery but the food was great and the owner Pepe was super nice.

Thanks, Dan! It was great to have you guys. Sorry your fishing got a bit rained out but it sounds like you made up for it with a round (or several) at the bar. Yeah, I love that little place outside the gate, too. I eat there pretty much every other day when I am there. So good...so cheap...and really nice people who put up with my bad Spanish.
Overall, we had a very good stay. The house was roomy, clean and was located in a nice neighborhood with several guards at the gate. We all felt quite safe there. We were a large group (12 people) and there were plenty of comfortable beds to accommodate us. I would suggest a couple of areas of improvement: the bathroom in the master needs attention. The door wouldn’t close and the doorknob was completely non-functional. No water pressure in the toilet so go #2 in a different bathroom. 😵💫No ventilation in any bathroom so byo air freshener. Toilet seat in that bathroom needs to be replaced. More hand towels and washcloths in the kitchen would also be helpful so renters can clean up after themselves. I would have liked to give this house 5 stars and, with the changes I’m suggesting, I certainly would have. But the real star of the home is the property manager: Lory Fiacco!!! She is friendly, helpful and really tried hard to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. She was incredibly responsive and answered all of our questions and addressed the few concerns we had. She is top-notch and the owner is lucky to have her. Thank you Lory ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks so much for the great feedback! Lory really enjoyed you and your group.
We also really appreciated the details you included and Lory and I are on it!
Masterbath door, knob, seat and pressure! ✅
Air freshener for the baths ✅
More dish and hand towels in the kitchen ✅
It's details like this we miss when we are not living there and they really help us keep Tranquility House in tip top shape for our guests!
Much appreciated and best wishes,
Michael

Great multi-family vacation
This actually turned out to be a perfect property for my group. We had three families with four kids (ten total) between us. I have been to Cancun a few times and really didn't want to do the whole hotel zone thing again. We were here to see Chichen and other larger touristy places and we had never been to Isla Mujeres before so the location was really good (we actually walked to the Isla ferry). The community was gated and the guards were nice and helpful steering us to a great little local restaurant across the street.
The house itself was just a great deal for the money. I wouldn't say it was high luxury but it was beautiful nonetheless. The downstairs was an incredible hang out for all of us. We took turns at the cool little game table (the first time in years I played Monopoly with my kids)...the TV was right there. I was surprised we had as many movie channels as we did and we brought a bunch of movies with us for the Blu Ray. The whole room was opened up so while two of the moms were cooking a few others were watching TV while a few others were playing poker on the dining room table.
Nothing, however, beats the rooftop! We just loved it up there! Incredible breeze...we BBQ'd...kids loved the hammocks...the view was awesome...this was really the highlight of the house.
The rooms themselves were each different and very nice. The beds were surprisingly comfy. The rooms all had some extra feature about them...one was huge, another had a whirlpool in the bathroom, another had a balcony. The kids had bunks in one room which they thought was cool. The adult couples had their own room which was great. Most of them had their own television if one of the couples just needed their own space. There were cool little Mexican decorative touches and we were all impressed with the brick dome on the way to the rooftop.
One last note..Tony, the property manager who lives in the neighborhood, was just a great guy and was really helpful when we asked him a ton of stupid questions...thanks, Tony! Michael, the owner, was also just a nice person and really easy to work with.

Wow, Jana! Thanks for this amazing feedback! We really enjoyed communicating with you and Cindy as well. So glad you all had a blast! Seriously, I just want to forget about my normal life and sit in those hammocks all day...rotate around the three of them to stare in the various view directions and melt in that breeze! Thanks for mentioning that! ...and, again, Tony. That guy is becoming so popular!Don't forget about us in the future. Have a great year! Best, Michael.

Brilliant but the description needs tweaking
I want to write an honest review and we had a fantastic time but the villa description needs tweaking and the villa needs a little maintenance on it.
It is described as luxury, it is NOT luxury, it is a lovely villa set in a very typical Mexican residential area. There are many dogs wandering the complex and howl at 07.00 am although you do get used to the early alarm clock! The upstairs sky terrace has lights missing so we could not enjoy it after dark and the door does not lock and being as there is no safe within the villa this could be a problem, saying that the terrace is four floors up! There is no dishwasher but items from previous guests are left so it has cleaning items which is a big help as the local shops are very sparse. Walmart is a short taxi drive away and is roughly 40 pesos but to get a taxi back is 80 pesos as the drivers have to pay a small fee to be waiting within the shopping centre grounds, again this is no problem. The manual inside the villa or Scott states that the nearest beach is 400 metres or a 12 minute walk, this is in fact, a very local beach and the sea cannot be swam in due to local boats being around and it is about a 30 'min walk and the walk is on a main road. The manual states that you can use the hotel beaches by the hotel zone and use the pool etc. On arrival to the hotel advertised, We were told that this was not possible but obviously they could not stop us using the beach but we were not allowed to use the hotel pools and bar which actually makes sense really. If you choose this villa, which is lovely, please hire a car as it will make life a lot easier for everyone. We were a party of 11 so taxis and Uber's were a pain to organise. The taxi AP advertised in the manual was not possible to use as for the ten days we were there, there was no taxis in the vicinity.
If you want a holiday to mix with locals this is for you. Please do not be put off but we felt that the info had been a tad exaggerated . The communal pool had two cameras that are registered to the managers mobile so he can see you at all times and the poolside table and chairs are not to be used by guests of the villa.
The villa itself is well equipped and the beds were lovely and comfortable. The washing machine and drier was a fantastic bonus and the villa had about 40 towels to use. I would recommend this villa to young people .Isla Mujeres is a short boat ride away, we went on our own with a local fisherman and had a fantastic day with him

Thanks so much for your kind words. I know that Scott said that he really enjoyed you all! As always we appreciate the opportunity to make a guest's experience the best that it can be at Tranquility House. We have since become aware of the light outages on the rooftop and have repaired that. We have added a lock to the rooftop terrace even though it would take a ninja-like move to get up there. We want our guests to feel very secure and to not have to give it a second thought. We have also ordered a safe from the states so that our guests can lock valuables in the room and feel more secure. Thanks again for your honest feedback!
It's a great place to stay for the price if you're coming with a large group. Pick up and drop off from the airport, a car for getting around in town included, in a nice gated community. It's an all around great package.
This property is wonderful. There were a total of 13 family members with us. The 5 rooms were perfect in size and we really liked that all but two rooms had their own full bath. The beds were all very comfortable. The kitchen was well equiped. We really liked that there were two refrigerators. The vehicle that they made available to us was very convenient. Scott the property manager and Michael the owner were super helpfull to us. My father-in-law needed dialysis while we were there and they both helped us get the inforamtion we needed to get that all set up. Scott got us picked up and dropped off at the airport via a shuttle service that was excellent. We booked all our tours through the company that they recommended and we received excellent service. We had to cut our vacation short, unfortunatley, due to a family emergency and Scott helped us print plane tickets and was a great support to us. We defintely recommend staying here!!
Puerto Juarez property was such a pleasurable experience. First of all, we had our first reserved home cancel a day before and had nowhere to stay and lucky for us this property was available. Michael, the owner, contacted me via email and told me that Scott the manager of this property would assist me in our check in and anything we needed. He automatically contacted me and offered his help in getting us pizza and drinks since our flight was delayed more than 5 hours and didn't get to Cancun until 11pm. It was really nice to have someone so helpful. The house was really clean, great decor, had everything you could possibly need besides being in your own home.. My overall experience was superb. I highly recommend this property!

Thanks so much, Elizabeth!! All I know is that Scott RAVED about your group! So happy to have been there for you all! Happy holidays and thanks so much again for leaving our home is such wonderful shape!!! Michael
Great home!! My husband’s side of the family lives in Mexico and we rent this house when we have a reunion and everybody goes to the beach. The house is perfectly accommodating to the size of our group. We have 15 people and this home has been so good to us every time. The owner is extremely friendly and has always been available to answer any questions that we may have concerns about. Scott the property manager is also awesome! Very well informed about the area and activities and giving recommendations. Highly recommend this rental. Especially for large groups. Will definitely continue to use this home when going to Cancun.

A great house for some authentic Cancun experiences
This house was an absolute perfect place for me and my large family. Plenty of rooms, excellent kitchen, and a wonderful rooftop deck with a lovely breeze in the evening to get together and just enjoy being together. This is not a property you can walk to the beach from, but it is excellent for access to Central Cancun, short 15 mins to the Hotel Zone public beaches, and about 15 mins to a Ferry to Isla Mujeres. It is in a small gated community which gives you a real sense of security, but you can also easily walk to get to several great locals spots. Right outside the gate is an amazing local Mexican restaurant and a really cool Pizza place that serves a range of funky pizzas that are great. There is also a park for the kids right there. The property owner has a local house manager who was super friendly and easy to work with. We had to cut our trip short due to the COVID19 situation escalating back home in the US and the property owner is working with us on a credit for a future stay and we absolutely will be back. Getting to experience life in the Centro of Cancun is really pretty interesting and added a real uniqueness to the trip that is tough to explain. For any group whether family or friends though, this is a great spot.
Right from the start it was awesome. Scott makes this place run as smooth as possible.
The kitchen is great, two fridges makes it so convenient. The water hooked up to the in door ice and water is pure genius. Lots of room to prep and cook.
The rooms were very nice and the beds were comfortable.
The roof top area was great, bbq worked well and lots of room for the whole crew (15) and the toilet up there was convenient and airy. You really get to know the neighbors.
The only drawback is that you are sharing the pool with 8 other families, but if you are more social than I am, you will like it.
We did have the electrical meter go out on us one night which made sleeping without the a/c uncomfortable. Scott did a superb job in getting the technicians there and then replaced the meter the next day. Also the technicians were able to give us some power to get us through the night with lights, internet and appliances working.
One of the main reasons I booked this place was the stellar reviews Scott got and he did not disappoint. We didn't use him as much as some others indicated in their reviews, but when needed, he was the man.

Thank you for your amazing comments! You know, the house is great, location great, and rooftop is awesome...but, as everyone always comments, SCOTT IS DA MAN! He just makes everyone feel safe and taken care in a foreign country. He says alot for ex-Canadian Marines everywhere! What a good guy...thanks for recognizing him!
