The property and cabin were beautiful. I think the listing was a little misleading when it said no hidden fees and sleeps 8 and max guest 10, but there is an extra guest charge for any guests over 6.

Hello Adam thank you for the review. Its helpful for sure. Could you let me know where you found we have a max of 10 guests. I don't see it. But there is lots of areas when Im updating the property that are hidden or maybe Im not that good at navigating the site. On the very first page it has sleeps 8. If its there I need to change so other guests do not get confused. Thank you for you input Candy and Ray

We enjoyed our time at the Cabin. Our children who ranged from 3-13 loved the loft/bedroom and enjoyed the tv up in that space . It was nice to sit out by the fire and we appreciated the yard games available to play . We are used to eating our meals as a family and thought it would of been nice if there were two extra stools in the closet area that you could pull out so that six could sit at the table together. The beds were so comfy and everyone slept really well. We hope to come back next year!

We had a girls weekend away, and enjoyed the quiet and scenic setting of this cabin! Communication prior to, and during our stay with our hosts was excellent. The cabin was spotless, well stocked, and we had everything we needed. The bathroom and kitchen were super clean, and the beds very comfortable. Be sure to screen shot check in information ahead of time- as there was no service when we arrived at the cabin and ended up having to get the info from a spouse using SOS satellite. Also, be prepared, the road/driveway is rocky and a bit steep. We made it up going slow, and it helped arriving in daylight, but that would be worth knowing if you have a low car and arriving later in the evening. All in all, a very great experience and would love to come back! I would not hesitate booking at all.

The cabin in the woods was the perfect location for our family trip. We had four adults and one child. The main floor bedrooms were comfortable and the beds were very comfy. My nephew did not use the loft beds but it would have been such a fun place for a couple kids. The location was perfect for us to visit Trough Creek State Park, Warriors Path State Park, and Raystown Lake.A few notes to be aware of but didn’t take away from our trip.- the driveway is steep and has some groves, just take it slow and don’t drive a low car.- the cabin sleeps 8 people but the table will only accommodate 4 and it is high top seats which are harder to enjoy game time.- you are to take your trash with you when you leave, we were able to do this, and the host did say I could leave it in the shed if need be. We had a great time as a family! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Family get away

This cabin is beautifully located for peace and relaxation. Cabin is also clean and well supplied with anything you need. Hosts Candy & Ray are easy to contact for any reason. Wish we had more time there to really enjoy what this cabin has to offer. ( we were only there the weekend ). We would definitely come back to this cabin in a heartbeat. We thank Candy & Ray for allowing us to stay at their beautiful cabin. Hope to stay there again soon, next time a little longer. Thank you very much. Ramirez/Astuto families

Inspiration

We're a four piece band that was looking for an inspirational place to write and record some new music. The cabin was perfect! We stayed four days and had a wonderful time playing instruments and eating good food together - memories we'll no doubt cherish for life. The hosts were on point with communications and the cabin has everything you could need (cookware, dishes, shower supplies, reliable internet, bedding, etc ). Highlights include beautiful scenery and a friendly deer that makes a daily visit to the bird feeder outside the kitchen window. Anyways - highly recommended. Thank you!

The cabin was much more than we expected. Owners have thought of every detail to make this cabin feel like home & to make renters feel welcome. Minor details like linens, towels, bathroom items, kitchen items, etc. The cabin was the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. If you forgot anything, they have it covered. We were in the area for a wedding at Retreat Acres & this location was perfect. We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone. If we are in the area again, we would consider returning. The country store in Cassville is the cutest place to get essentials & a morning coffee/sandwich. Highly recommend!
