Not a good start

When we arrived, the AC was not working. We called management several times and no one ever came,so I finally had to thaw condenser unit out for a few hours. the unit started working at 10pm. it struggled to keep this cabin cool on upper floors the whole trip. Some of the ceiling fans didn't work and dishes in cabinet were filthy. This was a nice location with being on the lake. For the price, it wasn't as clean as should be and maintenance was horrible. In attached pics of thermostats, the temp in the house is the smaller number to the right.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Our family stayed at Lakeview Lodge over Christmas 2025. The home is spacious and nicely furnished, but our stay was affected by several maintenance, cleanliness, and amenity issues.Soon after arrival, we discovered the heating system wasn’t working correctly—one floor was very cold while another became overly hot after a workaround. We also had no hot water for nearly 24 hours, and the water heater continued to trip throughout our stay. The maintenance team was responsive, but the problems required repeated visits and temporary fixes. We also noticed broader signs of deferred maintenance, including broken or non‑functioning lighting and appliances, issues with the hot tub and theater room, damaged trim and railings, and an electrical panel in poor condition.Basic items typically provided in vacation rentals were missing, such as extra bedding, hangers, oven mitts, hot tub towels, and coffee filters. Many drawers and cabinets were mislabeled or inconsistently stocked. The home did not appear thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. We found dirty dishes, dusty fans, slow drains, hair in the shower, debris on the decks, and an unclean pull‑out bed. While the management team was responsive, the number of issues and the effort required to troubleshoot basic systems detracted from our stay. The house has potential, but it needs a deep cleaning, a full inventory restock, and comprehensive maintenance to meet guest expectations.
