Had a wonderful stay during a ski trip. The hot tub was wonderful and the view was great. We would love to stay again in the summer when we'd be able to enjoy the lake.
Our family - we two parents 2 kids & their spouses, and our dog - enjoyed the comforts and convenience of this beautiful home for our relaxing August visit. The house was spotless, comfortable & well-appointed. It was large enough to fit all of us comfortably. We utilized the deck, firepit, grill, hot tub, the kayaks to fish and explore, & the enclosed front yard for our dog. Everything was in great working order, including all appliances. The location near the road was not an issue for us, and made it easy to get to other spots - restaurants & grocery stores in town, Ludington & river picnic areas nearby. Communication with the host was excellent. We definitely recommend this property.
The property was exactly as advertised and my family had a fantastic time! Plenty of space for my family of 7. They took the kayaks out on the lake, we had a fire in the fire pit and made s’mores, we enjoyed the hot tub (I’m pretty sure that was everyone’s favorite part). The dining room table was big enough for games. The kitchen was well stocked and the grill was nice, we didn’t order out at all during our visit. Communication was great, all using the Vrbo app, and we got responses right away when we posted anything. I can’t recommend this property enough!
We just wanted to get a way for a weekend to relax and unwind. This place allowed us to do just that. We rested and was able to relax in the hot tub and have a quiet weekend. The cottage was so nice and clean and had so much space. We will be booking again in the future!

We did a girls weekend at this lake house and it was wonderful! Perfect setting for what we wanted. It was close to town for groceries and dinners. The house was perfect for us with the internet hot tub and lake view! Would highly recommend staying here our host mike was also wonderful to deal with!

Thank you for your great review! Please come back and visit us anytime.
The house was very clean and uncluttered, yet it had everything we needed (except for a hair dryer, which was not in the listing, so we should've brought one).We were in the lake everyday. Having so many kayaks was great! The lake bottom is muck, but we used pool noodles to swim from the dock to deeper water, so our feet never had to touch the bottom!Mike was very responsive and got back right away both before and during our stay. The only downside is the ticks in the yard that got on our dogs and us, but with a wooded yard, Mike can't be responsible for that!Be sure to check out the Shrine of the Pines and Mac's Dune Rides. We all agreed those were highlights of our trip!

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
The listing photos were somewhat misleading. The property is located directly next to a major highway, which we were not expecting. We believed we had booked a secluded, peaceful location, but the highway noise was clearly audible inside the house and made it difficult to sleep in the morning. It was also apparent that the home is pet-friendly, as there was dog hair on the couch upon arrival. Additionally, the cleaning fee felt excessive given that we left the property in the same condition we found it, especially with a departure checklist of tasks that guests were expected to complete. The hot was nice but then again all you could hear was vehicles driving by.

This seems like a pretty unfair review since our listing clearly states that we are a dog friendly property. Also, the pinpoint for the property shows that it is just off of M-37. So I'm not sure what made you think that our cottage is in a secluded area.
House was nice and new updated, but missing some basic: cleaning supplies, plunger, end tables in bedrooms. Disappointed front yard was not mowed and thistles were growing over onto dock. Perfect for pets that front yard is fenced in, but be careful as the house is next to the highway. Very noisy. I loved the hot tub and having laundry on site. The lake was nice, very small and muck bottom.

We agree that a plunger is a great idea.
Our listing clearly states that this cottage is near a busy road so there could be road noise when you are outside. You can't hear the road noise inside the cottage, however. The only bedroom that doesn't have a night stand is the bunk room which we don't feel is necessary.
