Mountain Home on Middle Saluda River near Jones Gap and Table Rock State Parks

This spacious mountain house is located on the Middle Saluda River and is only 1 mile from the main entrance to Jones Gap State Park, The large family room has a wood burning fire place and comfortable seating. The kitchen is well equipped with updated appliances, granite countertops, full range of cooking and bakeware, and a 4 seat dinette, while the separate dining room offers more room for larger gatherings. The large master bedroom boasts a king size bed, ensuite bathroom, and large walk-in closet (for families w/ small children: a standard Pack n Play will fit in the master closet). The second bedroom has a queen bed and the third has two twin beds. Off of the family room is a sun porch with a twin sized day bed and trundle, enabling it to be used as a fourth bedroom. The house sleeps 8. The sun porch opens to a grilling deck with a stainless gas grill and steps leading down into the large river front yard that has two fire pits. Yard games available include corn hole and giant Jenga, as well as ping pong in the garage. The family room has games, puzzles, playing cards, and DVDs. The house is equipped with WIFI and has Rokus in the family room master bedroom. A South Carolina State Parks pass is included with your stay, which will allow your entire party free admission to Jones Gap State Park (1 mile), Caesar’s Head State Park (15 miles), Table Rock State Park (15 miles) or any other South Carolina State Park during your stay. Travelers Rest is less than a 30 minute drive, where you can explore local shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions. Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat or outdoor adventure, this mountain house is the perfect spot for your next vacation.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please gather all used towels and started a load in the wash before leaving.
All trash goes in the black trash cans in the garage.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Swim at your own risk and supervise children in the yard. Swimming/wading in the river and creek is allowed, but no crossing to other properties.
No not keep food or trash outside because of possible bears. Trash cans are in the garage and always close garage doors at night.
** River access steps and a portion of the bank were washed out in Helene. If you choose to climb down, you do so at your own risk**

My family and I loved this place! We wanted a comfortable place for a mountain weekend and that's exactly what we got. The amenities went beyond what was advertised, all instructions were clear and accurate, wifi was strong, the house looked and felt very clean, and the setting was exactly what we wanted for the price. We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect Summer Family Vacation

We loved staying here from the location to the amenities and the overall perfection of being able to make it home base so comfortably while we did a plethora of fun excursions and day trips to visit family and to do all those quintessential memory making experiences from water falls to swimming holes to river tubing to hiking breweries, distilleries and great eating both out and at home (summer local produce is to die for). Looking forward to do more trips here and experience different seasons and activities … such great hiking trails can’t wait for a fall trip.

The house provided exactly what we needed. We visited multiple sites around the area and basically were gone the majority of the day, but the family enjoyed the house very much so. Kids loved the ping pong table and card games after returning to the house each day. The house is near alot of beautiful sites and state parks. We took advantage of this every day. We would definitely stay again.

We had a great stay here! The host was very responsive and welcoming. The place went above our expectations. My family enjoyed the creek that runs behind the house and the ping pong table :) The home was clean and well supplied, and there was plenty of room for my family to relax and enjoy our time together. Most importantly to me, the host graciously permitted me to host a reception dinner for my son and his wife, along with our families after their wedding. Mountain Paradise

This beautiful property is very private and close to so many wonderful places to visit; Caesar's Head, Table Rock State Park, Pretty Place, Jones Gap State Park. There are lots of hiking trails, waterfalls and lakes only minutes away. The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The floor plan is all on one level with split bedrooms. The sunroom and back porches overlook a river. It is the perfect place for relaxation. The price was very affordable, especially for the number of beds. The owner's were very responsive as well. Great place for relaxing and enjoying acres of undeveloped mountains!
