Great location for us when we visit family in that area. Nice and quiet, rooms are nice and kids enjoy it. Ping pong table in garage is a lot of fun. Sun room is great.

Beautiful house, wonderful host, and an amazing vacation!! Our party of 5 had an awesome time at Greta's place! The house is even better than described and sitting outside listening to the river and the birds is so relaxing. We used the fire pit, completed two of the available puzzles, played cards, and used the kitchen to make many meals. The house is spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated and super clean. We used the SC Parks pass daily exploring all of the many parks nearby. We will definitely be returning in the near future!

My family and I loved this place! We wanted a comfortable place for a mountain weekend and that's exactly what we got. The amenities went beyond what was advertised, all instructions were clear and accurate, wifi was strong, the house looked and felt very clean, and the setting was exactly what we wanted for the price. We will definitely stay here again!

Greta was very friendly and fast in responding to my questions. House is remote (which we wanted) tucked back on one lane gravel road, in a small quiet neighborhood that looked like it needed some upkeep. While I personally wouldn’t enjoy the walk on the thin road to Jones Gap, it was possible. Very close to this lovely park and 20-30 min to Table Rock.House was older but very clean, spacious and tidy, with tasteful decorations. Windows are historic single pane glass with weight and pulley system so you have to be gentle with them but they all opened easily. No pets allowed which is hard to find these days and my sister with bad allergies appreciated. Furniture was comfortable and in good shape. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and dishes. Soap and shampoo provided in bathrooms. White noise devices thoughtfully provided in every bedroom. Master bedroom and bathroom were large and lovely. Twin beds were very firm but I like that.Creek ran peacefully in large backyard but I wouldn’t recommend this house for young children bc it was a steep drop to water there and large front yard had several older outbuildings.That said, house clearly had multiple water and mildew stains on main room ceiling, maybe from the wind blown rain of Hurricane Helene. Looked like Greta was comparing paint swatches on wall, so that maybe fixed soon. (I liked more muted green swatch, lol). Also my sister said the smaller bathroom may need the seat secured better for larger folks.

Perfect Summer Family Vacation

We loved staying here from the location to the amenities and the overall perfection of being able to make it home base so comfortably while we did a plethora of fun excursions and day trips to visit family and to do all those quintessential memory making experiences from water falls to swimming holes to river tubing to hiking breweries, distilleries and great eating both out and at home (summer local produce is to die for). Looking forward to do more trips here and experience different seasons and activities … such great hiking trails can’t wait for a fall trip.

The house provided exactly what we needed. We visited multiple sites around the area and basically were gone the majority of the day, but the family enjoyed the house very much so. Kids loved the ping pong table and card games after returning to the house each day. The house is near alot of beautiful sites and state parks. We took advantage of this every day. We would definitely stay again.

We had a great stay here! The host was very responsive and welcoming. The place went above our expectations. My family enjoyed the creek that runs behind the house and the ping pong table :) The home was clean and well supplied, and there was plenty of room for my family to relax and enjoy our time together. Most importantly to me, the host graciously permitted me to host a reception dinner for my son and his wife, along with our families after their wedding. Mountain Paradise

This beautiful property is very private and close to so many wonderful places to visit; Caesar's Head, Table Rock State Park, Pretty Place, Jones Gap State Park. There are lots of hiking trails, waterfalls and lakes only minutes away. The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The floor plan is all on one level with split bedrooms. The sunroom and back porches overlook a river. It is the perfect place for relaxation. The price was very affordable, especially for the number of beds. The owner's were very responsive as well. Great place for relaxing and enjoying acres of undeveloped mountains!

The property was perfect for our family of 5. It was clean and spacious for our teenagers. They had fun playing ping pong and exploring the river out back. It was very close to Jones Gap SP and an easy drive to other parks and Travelers Rest. We would definitely stay again.
