We loved the location - walking distance from the station, DIA Beacon and Main St meant we barely used our car.
Our 3 year-old loved the balls and toys in the garden and the house was full of interesting books, instruments and art. It's lovely to stay in someone's home rather than the sterile rental only properties you often find.
We loved our three-night stay. Many thoughtful amenities in a charming three-story rental with all sorts of interesting furnishings and decorative touches. Thorough information provided on the town and dining and other options. We took them up on a top dinner recommendation and were not disappointed. Hope to come back, as we have not neatly seen and done all there is to see and do.

About the host
Your host
We’re a creative family who works in the entertainment industry and chose Beacon for its art, nature, and community. We love sharing this space with guests and take great pride in offering a peaceful, inspiring place to stay.
Why they chose this property
When we first discovered Beacon, we were amazed that a small Hudson Valley town could offer so much—internationally recognized art, incredible hiking, award-winning restaurants, and a direct train to NYC. We chose this neighborhood specifically because it’s walkable to everything that makes Beacon special: DIA Beacon, Main Street, the Hudson River, and Mt. Beacon trails, while still being quiet and surrounded by nature.
What makes this property unique
This is a charming, historic three-story Beacon home with a fully equipped kitchen (no microwave), two full baths, and beautiful oversized gardens for you to enjoy. The upper residence spans all three floors and has its own private entrance. There is a separate garden-level studio apartment below with its own entrance and private occupancy. Please note: the home features multiple staircases and is best suited for guests comfortable with stairs. As an historic property, it retains original character rather than modern finishes—part of its unique charm. One of the sleeping options is a high-quality sofa bed in the main living area. Guests with small children are welcome, though we do not provide baby gates, so please bring your own if needed.
