About this space: This is a basement studio apartment with a full kitchen, bath, and queen sized bed. The studio comfortably sleeps 2 in a queen size bed, but there's a large sofa that will sleep a 3rd guest. We have plenty of extra blankets and linens if you should need them. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and cookware if you have the urge to whip up a meal. We also have a french press for your coffee needs. Plenty of street parking available.

The full size, heated bathroom comes equipped with a large vanity/mirror and plenty of plush towels. Extra toiletries are available in the event you forget your go-to shampoo and body wash. Tired from running around the city all day? Please treat yourself to a relaxing bubble bath!

We have a flatscreen TV and XBOX for any relaxing couch time. You have access to Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Instant Video for movies/shows on demand.

Sidenote for summer guests: Many places in Seattle do not have air conditioning. Beat the summer heat with this basement unit - it stays cooler than the other side of the pillow.

We live upstairs, but will stay out of your way. You have private access through the red side door with an assigned key pad code. There is no physical key to keep track of! Your code is valid for only the duration of your stay and will reset one hour after check out. If you need anything at all though, please feel free to contact via email, text, or simply knock on the door.

Getting Around: The bus system in Seattle is incredible and efficient. The bus stops closest to our house give you access to the 28 and 40 lines which go straight downtown and towards the Ballard neighborhood. We recommend downloading the app One Bus Away for bus schedules. We also love Uber and Lyft. With UberX, you can get downtown for less than $12.

Awesome spot close to everything

This place was great. We didn’t have a ton of time to sight see during our stay but still managed to see some key places that the location was perfect for. We weren’t more than 10 minutes from anything that we wanted to do. My flight got in a little earlier than the check in time and Reid let us drop our bags at the place so that we weren’t carrying them for 3 hours around the city which was awesome. I would absolutely stay here again!

My girlfriend and I came to Seattle to hike some national parks and go to a concert at the Gorge. Our stay in this basement apartment was wonderful. The apartment was modern, spacious, and very clean. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone coming to Seattle.

immaculate, cozy basement studio

As advertised, well-appointed studio, incl full kitchen (except no Dispos-all - it is a basement...), enjoyed cooking several meals. Comfy beds, full entertainment center. No bedside end tables/reading lights, but just used iPhone as flashlight. Lovely bathroom. Reid, a husky owner, was responsive - and even offered hospitality for our 2 huskies if we chose. 5 minutes from Safeway, coffee shop, 10 minutes from Seattle Art Museum, Olympic Sculpture Park, Chihuly/Space Needle/Pop Culture Museum. Just remember it is a basement - no views:-) Highly recommended for 2 people.

Cute, Chic , and Cozy

My BF and I stayed here for two nights. It was a seamless stay. The owners live upstairs but you wouldn't really know because they stay out of our way. The studio is actually a really nice size. The kitchen is fully equipped and spacious. The bathroom is absolutely lovely and very modern. We had more towels than we needed. The bed is so comfortable (hotel-like quality) and the sitting and eating area was just perfect. My only hiccup is that I'm a very light sleeper and I could hear their foot-steps late one night as they were walking about. However, I expect that as duh, they live upstairs. Nonetheless, we had a lovely stay and would definitely go back on our next trip to Seattle.

Great stay and location!

Reid's place was just as pictured, clean and comfortable. It was within walking distance of restaurants, bars and coffee shops. We had a car and parking was right on the street. We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay there again if we get back to Seattle.

Amazingly cozy spot in the heart of Fremont!

First things first, I am a huge hotel snob! I love getting away to upscale locations and this place did not disappoint!! We were tired of th same old downtown Seattle "stay cations" and wanted to venture into a neighborhood that we've always loved but have never gotten the opportunity to stay in the heart of. A perfect find and right where we wanted to be! The bed was comfy, finishings were detailed and upscale, and the overall studio was immaculate! I can't recommend Reid and his property enough and thank him for his attentiveness mixed with the perfect amount of side door studio privacy. Thanks to this great studio I came home and ordered pillows and a comforter to match for our guest quarters.

Better than a Hotel!

We stayed here for 3 nights in July, perfect for a couple. Nicely updated accommodations with the comforts of home. Looks exactly like the photos, very clean with plenty of towels, shampoo/conditioner, etc. It is in a great location, only a few blocks from downtown Fremont with plenty of restaurants, bars, stores and a quick drive to downtown Seattle. Reid was great with communications and we did not have any issues during out stay. Our only recommendation would be a new mattress and some fluffier pillows.

Clean, Comfortable, and Convenient

I absolutely loved this studio! I am a clean freak/germaphobe and always spend the first half hour cleaning any room I stay in; I am thrilled that I did not feel the need to here. This apartment is exactly as pictured and is conveniently located to restaurants, bars, and grocery stores. I really appreciated the restaurant recommendations provided by Reid. He does an amazing job of stocking everything you may need while visiting. The French Press broke and within 24 hours, another one was provided to me. The only recommendation I have is to provide fluffier/thicker, newer pillows. Other than that, I would happily stay here again. Thanks for a great stay!

Neat, clean, modern, spacious for 2-3. Comfortable bed. Great bathroom. Nice kitchen area.

Reid very timely with communication. Location of studio was perfect for us since our daughter lives in Fremont. Close to great breweries and restaurants altho dining "in" is also a good option because of great kitchen. Loved having washer and dryer too. Easy access to city of Seattle via buses which are very timely even in rush hour.

We had a great time in Seattle and enjoyed our stay at this studio. Perfect location in the Fremont/Ballard area. Was able to get just about anywhere we wanted to go in about 10-15 minutes. Great Fremont getaway!

This rental is in a great location with an excellent host. Accommodations were very comfortable, and whenever I had a question, Reid was very helpful with suggestions for places to go, etc. very nice studio apartment with lovely amenities. I loved the fold down ironing board, it came in handy.

Perfect vacation getaway

Amazing place to stay

Highly recommend this wonderful warm and cozy, bright and clean place. Owners were quick to respond to any questions or needs. Lots of extras like a coffee press (with coffee) and gas stove. Easy access to bus lines. You could safely walk all over Fremont morning or night.

Why they chose this property

The Fremont/Ballard neighborhood has always been our favorite of nook in Seattle. Situated next to the canals, it's got beautiful walking/biking trails (the Burke Gilman), excellent music venues / nightlife, and a wide variety of restaurants and boutiques. It's home of the Summer Solstice parade in June, Seattle's most popular street festival.

It's also just a hop skip and a jump away from downtown, with a bus stop directly across the street, and minimal traffic...making work commutes a breeze.

What makes this property unique

What I love about this property are our Evergreen trees and mountain views. It feels like you're in a foresty, mountain getaway - so much so that it's easy to forget you're in the city. The basement unit has limited views from the daylight windows - however a quick walk to a nearby park, and you'll get some phenomenal sunset views of the Olympic Mountains over downtown Ballard and the Canals.
