This was a pleasant location to spend a few days at, with beautiful sunrises from the huge back patio. The house is nice, with tall rock walls inside, and large living and dining areas. If you have a large number of vehicles, be aware that parking is a little tight, but we made it work with folks coming in from out of state. There are only two bathrooms in the main house, with one being an en-suite…so with and with a full house (we filled every bed) there may be some waiting time for toilet access. The bunkhouses seem newer, or recently updated, each with their own bathrooms and HVAC controls. The host was responsive when we had some problems arise, and resolved them expeditiously. During our stay, the microwave oven was inoperative - it would spin and make noise, but wouldn’t heat anything. This was a problem, and we had to go old school to warm leftovers by using the oven or the stovetop. Hopefully they have this resolved soon.
This a beautiful lodge with an amazing view and deck. Huge beams, glass window walls, a huge rock fireplace, large kitchen - very impressive. Unfortunately, it is not well kept up - fireplace is not useable; broken ice makers, fire alarms, outdoor lighting, etc. My family loves this lodge, our second visit, and did have a great Thanksgiving there in spite of the drawbacks. It just needs an investment in upkeep and TLC.
The house is private and has a really jaw-dropping view. We were fortunate to be there during fall foliage and on a full moon. We were a group of 14 and loved the kitchen, which is equipped with two refrigerators and two coffee pots, as well as a dining table that accommodated all of us. The biggest drawback is that there is no bathroom on the second floor, which has eight of the beds - if that is important to you, it is a consideration. The house was clean and the property manager was very responsive.
