Great location just a short drive to West Yellowstone for easy amenities and of course access to the park. House is easy to find as GPS took us right to it. The night stars were beautiful while standing on the deck. The house has all the space you could need; huge kitchen, large dining table, open living space, and that far bedroom with all of those beds and its own bath was amazing! Would stay here again when visiting the area.

Great family place

Very clean, large house that slept our entire extended family and had a dining table large enough for all of us. The kitchen is extremely well supplied with kitchen equipment in good condition which we appreciated. Near Yellowstone and cross country ski trails. Recommend!

Holiday at Bull Elk Lodge

Wonderful vacation with family! Lots of space, beds. baths and a huge dining table. Bill is awesome and kept the parking free of snow.

Plenty big … close to park… several good restaurants …house and property need attention…could not use dryer…waist deep weeds and grass outside …critters in house…unpleasant odor especially in one bathroom…well supplied …easy check-in.

Suggestions

To start off the property manager was very quick to respond to issues such as the septic tank smell we were having that continued to worsen. He came to the property to check out the issue pretty quickly. A few suggestions for the property though would be a need for a good cleaning. There were GIANT spider webs in the family room and bathrooms. We took the broom and cleaned those up ourselves. There was also the septic smell that started from the beginning but seemed to worsen until i reached out to the manager. There is also a broken window that they taped together that should be fixed for safety. Replacing linens and towels may be beneficial as well for a nicer stay. Overall it was a pretty nice place and the manager was nice. if there was a little tlc given to those areas it would have been a 5 star rating.

Great VRBO find close to the West Entrance of Yellowstone

Our entire family which consisted of 9 adults and one toddler thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Brook Trout Inn. One of the things that my husband and I look for in a VRBO is for the house layout and furnishings to be able to seat everyone in our party at one dinner table and to be able to enjoy family time in a livingroom that will also be able to comfortably seat the majority of our family members. This particular property met both of those requirements. It also came with a highchair and pack and play that was handy for my 18 month old grandson. All of the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was roomy and well stocked. We were very appreciative of the fact that all paper products, soaps and cleaners were supplied by the owner. The property was conveniently located in West Yellowstone which was very close to the entrance to the Park. The only negative was that the front entrance of the home was very muddy due to the large amount of melting snow that that area was experiencing. As an attempt to remedy the situation, Bill placed a few narrow long boards over the muddy areas at the front entrace. This created an unsafe area that I was afraid my grandson and pregnant daughte may not be able to negociate without a fall. A much better answer would have been to supply a large piece of plywood or cardboard to walk over rather than the balance beam type wood boards that were there. Overall we had a great time and were very pleased with the accomodations. We would rent here again.

The attention to detail when it comes to cleanliness would have been greatly beneficial to the comfort of our stay. The house really needed a deep cleaning. There was plenty of room and lots of dishes and cooking utensils.

Our family of 6 adults had a wonderful stay at the house . The directions to the home were detailed and accurate and the home was exactly as described. We had plenty of space to relax after busy days touring Yellowstone and appreciated being able to make meals in the spacious kitchen. We loved having 2 coffee pots in the morning and put them to good use.
