Thank you for your excellent five-star review! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay and our staff was great! We look forward to welcoming you back soon!
The room could’ve been cleaner. The sofa bed was unusable could really use a new mattress and fix the straps under the bed. We LOVE Point Pleasant and the unit was very spacious with a great view and facilities.

First time in St Thomas and very satisfied
Everyone was kind and welcoming! Donny was the best he was attentive and always ready to help! I really enjoyed my stay!
Stay was great. Condo is spacious and the views are breathtaking. Only fault is the wifi is in the master bedroom and doesn't work in the common areas.

thank you for positive feedback, hope to see you again in the near future!
Between the great views, location and amenities, our stay at this property was amazing. The only thing that could have made the stay better would've been better Wi-Fi coverage through out condo, since the signal didn't reach much past the bedroom where the router was. We will definitely look for this property for any future vacation on St. Thomas.

Thank you for the feedback. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to seeing you again. We will try to work on getting better Wifi coverage for that room.
Amazing views from the top of the hill. The shuttle service was actually very convenient from the lower restaurant. Most taxis did come up the hill to pick up and drop off.

Thank you for the feedback. We truly appreciate it.
The bedrooms are dark and we were a little dismayed at first. But the view from the porch and the proximity to everything in Red Hook, not to mention the on-oite bar/restaurant Sun and Sea, made up for the dark rooms. It's just that they are built into a hill, which looks pretty common as it's a hilly property.. the unit had everything we needed to cook at home and make drinks. We rented chairs and got around in our Jeep. We mostly explored beaches around the island, but we also enjoyed the pools on the property. The property could be improved with some cleaning of mold or mildew in the shower, but it wasn't a deal-breaker.

Thank you for your great review and wonderful feedback,
we have addressed your concerns with our team and are working on improvements, and we
are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. Looking forward to welcoming you back again in the near future!
Point Pleasant is in a great location near Red Hook Harbor, and facing St. John and other islands. The view is magnificent and the accommodations were very good. My only issues were the internet/cell phone service are both pretty bad, and the beds in Unit D22 need to be replaced.
We visited several local beaches during our stay (including Coci Beach and Secret Harbor), and went on the Snorkel Cat tour leaving from MargaritaVille, which is right next door. Red Hook has several good restaurant options, as well as others nearby.
I was told that the resort is installing fiber optics, so the internet service should be better in the future. I would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for your feedback, it's very much appreciated. So happy to hear you had a good time and enjoyed the resort and island. We will definitely look into the beds. Thank you and see you again soon.
We really enjoyed our stay at Point Pleasant. The view is beautiful and is in a great location close to Red Hook and Sapphire Beach.
The only negatives were that the WIFI never worked for us and the Keurig did not work. They have a regular coffee pot that worked. If you are planning your stay and would like to use WIFI, I recommend you call prior to your arrival to make sure it is working.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating for anything we needed.
Tip: When you open the door, you will need to pull the door towards you and turn the key to the left to open. We had a hard time with this door and had to call security to help.
Overall, we loved this condo, the views off the balcony, location and the bar and restaurant on site. I highly recommend this condo. I hope we can go back again in the future.
This was our second time staying at Point Pleasant Resort and again, it did not disappoint. The grounds are beautiful and immaculately kept, staff friendly and attentive, not to mention that the location can't be beat! There are three scenic and sparkling clean refreshing pools, a very small somewhat hidden beach (wonderful plus), neither of which were very busy nor crowded. While under new management both the Sun & Seas Grill (formerly Shoreline Grill) and the Ocean 180 (formerly Mirador) are great spots to dine with good food (exceptional at Ocean 180), great friendly service and wonderful views. Though the resorts sits nestled on a steep hillside (and when I say steep I mean steep!) with many, many stairs that can be challenging, they do offer a free shuttle to take you around. The unit itself was spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated in Caribbean Colonial style. The whole condo seemed to have been newly remodeled with up to date stainless steel appliances and gorgeous bathrooms. It was well equipped throughout, including beach gear and a safe in the master closet. And the view, oh the view, simply couldn't be beat!!!
Overall, couldn't have been happier and plan to be back soon!

Beautiful View from Balcony !
Nice unit with outdoor balcony! It was clean and well stocked with essentials. Slightly outdated but the bathrooms were remodeled as well as the kitchen. Point Pleasant itself is an older resort but still well maintained with a gated entrance. There are a few flights of stairs to get to this unit but that wasn't a big deal for our group. There were some pool/beach floats for use in the one closet and a huge collection of movies to watch in the event you get a rainy day. We didn't get a chance to eat at Mirador (the fancier of the two resort restaurants) but it looked very nice. We did eat at Shoreline Bar & Grille; the food was good! You can walk to Margaritaville from Shoreline which was a fun way to change up the scenery. You can also walk to Coki Point Beach (a little bit of a hike), but the beach is very nice with lots of options to rent rafts, snorkel gear, etc. The resort map had a 'snorkel beach' listed but we never looked for that. Three pools on the property (we visited two of them). Both were clean and had chairs for use. You cannot park directly at this unit but there was ample parking in a lot just a short walk away. I would have no reservations about recommending this unit or Point Pleasant to anyone looking for a nice, generally quiet place to stay on the island. Overall, we had a wonderful in time in St. Thomas and we will definitely be visiting again!

Breathtaking morning views with my coffee: Sure beats Illinois!
Check-in after hours was awkward. The guard at the gate didn’t really understand that he had the key and the office was closed. We searched awhile trying to find the actual room as there was not a clear numbering system…and it was getting dark! The lock was very tricky as you had to pull the door the right way as you opened it along with the fact the room was 22, but the key had the number 21 on it. We thought at first we had the wrong key after three of us were trying to get in. It wasn’t a great first impression by this point. When we did manage to get in, it was nice. Not perfect, but it met our needs and budget. The balcony views were breathtaking and loved the furniture out there for making that the preferred room to hang out in.
Kitchen desperately needs new pots, pans, and cooking utensils. The other parts about the kitchen were sufficient, but it was important in our budget to make a couple meals a day and it would have been nice to have pans where the nonstick coating wasn’t scratching off or the spoons weren’t melted.
Bathrooms were great. Bedrooms did the job. The whole resort was nice-just prepare for the hike unless you want to use the shuttle. Pools were clean. Didn’t use the restaurants, but looked nice.
Host always got back within a reasonable amount of time when I inquired about anything prior to our stay. Some more instruction about arrival after hours would have been helpful. It was a nice stay and the whole family enjoyed it there.

Thank you for the feedback. We truly apologize for the inconveniences. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay, and we hope to see you again soon.
Our stay at PP was not as expected or advertised. The property itself was okay with the pools and easy access to Red Hook, but the condo itself was a disappointment. We arrived on Sunday loaded with groceries for the week only to find the fridge wasn’t cooling. We contacted the VRBO property manager several times without a response. We emailed the people who helped with the check in and they responded on Tuesday. They determined the fridge needed to be replaced - that arrived on Wednesday. In the meantime our food had to be placed in coolers. We spent several days of our trip dealing with this issue. When the fridge arrived on Wednesday it was new but was too big for both doors to open properly. Still have not received a response from VRBO. The other issues included the filters on all ACs were very dirty and one was missing, the kitchen was disorganized, The fans and lights were dusty and grimy in the kitchen and what they listed as a grill was rusty and dirty and inoperable too. The list goes on and on. The people at the Point Pleasant Resort were very nice and helpful. It’s unfortunate the condo itself was misrepresented and that it took half our vacation to resolve an appliance problem. The condo was mediocre at best.

Thank you for the feedback. We do apologize we didn't respond in a faster time for you. We strive to help our guests immediately when a problem arises. As these are individually owned we have to go through a process of getting owner approvals for big purchases such as appliances. We do apologize. Thank you for noticing our staff's helpful and pleasant disposition. We will look into all that is mentioned so we can rectify these issues for future stays. Thank you for staying with us.
The unit had roaches which was observed by the gentleman who oriented us to the unit. The front desk was notified the next day and had someone come spray the following day. We still saw roaches after spraying. At checkout I let the clerk know that there were still roaches in the unit. There was never an apology nor an offer to relocate us to another unit. I was also disappointed in the lack of beach chairs, ice chest, and local recommendation book in the unit. There was a book in the lobby, but who wants to do to the lobby each time they want to looks for recommendations. Overall, I would not recommend this unit.

Thank you for the feedback. We apologize for the inconveniences. We have monthly exterminations and we even called the exterminator to do an extra spray of the room after you reported the bugs. The exterminator gave us a report stating he did not find any roaches when he inspected the villa. Each villa is individually owned, including beach gear, and will not have every beach accessory in their villa. There is a local recommendation binder in the room. It is located in the living room of the villa.
We greatly enjoyed staying at the Estate Smith Bay. It was easy to checkin and the staff at the resort were friendly and helpful. Our favorite part was enjoying the balcony view. The location was very easy to get around the island and we wish we could have stayed longer!

Our place was nice and clean. People were friendly and service was strong. It's a dated resort, but not bad especially for a shorter stay. We were just there one night before going to St. John.

Great resort :)
We loved the location of this resort in relations to downtown and redhook and used the resorts shuttle service frequently. Shoreline bar and grill had wonderful cocktails and food. The room was great and i am so glad we chose this one. It looks even better in person. Cant wait to come back with the rest of my family soon

Nice staff, good location, facility is so-so
The staff were very friendly and seemed motivated to make sure we had a good visit. The unit was old and had some quirks. Shower water temperature in the master bath fluctuated and the knobs were backwards. The master bedroom strangely had two small TVs. One wall mounted and then another one right below it. The cable box with lots of cords was sitting on a stool under that. The master bath toilet has a shelf behind it that prevents the toilet seat from staying up. Seems strange nobody has noticed this. Being in an upper unit we had an excellent view, but you really have a LOT of tough step climbing to get to things. The stone steps are uneven and step heights vary. I enjoyed the workout, but it did get old. Of course you could call for a shuttle, guy in a van that comes to get you. That felt strange because although he was prompt you could be where you needed to be by the time he got there. Then you felt obligated to tip him. So we just walked...and walked. In January the pools were too cold to swim in, no outdoor showers at all and no hot tub. Restaurant was very good and staff there also super nice. The shuttle to Red Hook was very handy and drivers were always friendly. Overall I'd say it was nice and we might go back, but I'd research other places first.
