Ui, the host, was most welcoming. The location, one mile from the Volcano National Park entrance, was perfect. We drove and wanted to stay late in the park, so the location worked great. My most favorite is to stay late to see the red glow and my second favorite is to wake early to the native birds. So many apapane, iiwi and others. I so enjoy trips to see aunty Pele. This visit she treated us to twin lava fountains.

Host was amazing with communication and very gracious. Location perfect for a good night’s rest after a day of exploring volcano. Did find room a bit cramped for 3 of us, but perfectly fine for a shower and sleeping while busy doing other things.
