Great summer ambiance with deck/brick patio surrounding a free-form gunite heated pool and outdoor shower. Attractive furnishings -- chaises, umbrella table/chairs, and Weber gas grill and char grill in these comfortable “outdoor living and dining rooms” allow both gracious entertaining and family relaxation/fun.
The location is very convenient -- close enough to the lovely village of Southampton for easy shopping and far enough away on quiet lane for a serene vacation even during peak season. The big bonus is the beautiful perennial gardens surrounding the cottage (we had our wedding here)—it blooms all summer!
Our prior happy renters include: well known TV cook and husband who entertained often (3 summers), young families with infants/nannies, older couples with teenagers/young adults and even retired seniors -- all expressed that their stays were “ a real romantic get away”, “had extremely enjoyable family vacation” – “we all loved the house even the dog -- we hated to leave”, “A slice of heaven…felt like we were in Provence!” “The décor of ivory, blue and yellow seaside palette and all the huge windows of the cottage really connected to the outdoor environment – it reminded us of St. Barts.”

About the host
Hosted by Diane
We saw the potential in the original house. We renovated and improved the property to bring the beauty and serenity of the outdoors in and maximize the charm, added a larger gourmet equipped kitchen and master suite. We landscaped to turn a plain exterior into a slice of heaven! We always love our stays and find it very hard to leave. Our ever growing family including grandchildren enjoy our home and find it a very special place for fun.
Why they chose this property
There is a gated entry into our large driveway and our property is surrounded by hedges and landscaped fencing offering the kind of privacy that brings peace of mind. There is an easy scenic shortcut from Rte. 27 to our street that treats you to a lovely look at a Peconic Bay Cove and Shinnecock Hills Golf Club that makes your journey here less stressful.
Our pretty cottage is just minutes away from Southampton Village Main Street(3 miles) we enjoy countryside serenity but can easily join the vitality of the beautiful resort village of Southampton anytime. AND, you can actually walk (1/3country mile) for delicious Goldberg's bagels and deli, a barber shop, saloon with pool table. It is a very short drive to wine/liquor store, a good pizza restaurant , and gas station/convenience store.

What makes this property unique
This very private and quiet getaway can make you feel very far from the rest of the world but if you're in the mood for the social scene -- it is just a few minutes away. There is a sense of freedom, natural beauty and fun for children yet very protected and safe. Both adults and children once here for a day or even a few hours find it is very hard to leave.
