About this property
The Chetco River Inn Cottage-PRIVATE River Frontage, 36 acres-Relax, Swim, Fish
Welcome to Paradise along southern Oregon's pristine Chetco River. Only 18 miles inland from the coast town of Brookings, a scenic half-hour drive along the river transports you to a beautiful and wilderness setting.
The Chetco River Inns' 36 very secluded acres on the banks of the Chetco River is surrounded by the Siskiyou National Forest. Our home is off grid and caters to both nature lovers and anglers, and makes for a great getaway. Whether renting the 5 bedroom Main Lodge or staying in the cozy ''Rockhouse' Cottage next to our vineyard, our homes are ideal for family gatherings, work retreats, couples and friends seeking outdoor activities and relaxation.
The Inn's thirty-six acres are off grid, private, and offer gentle walks, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, swimming, kayaking, rafting, paddleboarding, or simply floating down river.
World-class Salmon and Steelhead fishing can be enjoyed from directly in front of the Inn and excellent Cutthroat trout fishing is nearby in the River's many tributaries. If fishing is your passion, you simply can't beat our location on this upper streach of the Chetco River. If you wish, we're also happy to help by referring you to some of the best local professional guides who float fish long stretches of the river.
The Main Lodge offers 5 bedrooms, each with their own bath. 2 river view rooms have double beds. 3 forest view rooms have either king or twin beds. Look out over the spacious common room with its panoramic river views while cooking in the large kitchen; Or enjoy a movie in the den. Sit on the deck in one of the rocking chairs while enjoying the river view or firepit.
The estate also features a separate cottage called the 'Rockhouse' that sleeps 4 with a king (or 2 twins) upstairs and 2 twins downstairs. The 'Rockhouse' also includes a full kitchen and 1 1/2 baths with a private patio with BBQ grill. The 'Rockhouse' overlooks our new vineyard planted in Pinot Noir, is located near our gardens, and is privately situated near the river and away from the Main Lodge.
We are off grid, using solar and generator power. As with any rural home, our power may go out. We work hard to make the outage as short as possible but please take the time to enjoy being out of town.

From the moment you enter the property, you can see what makes this place so special. Beautiful property, off grid with enough comforts, and Tony was a very welcoming host. We had a great time!
This stay was the highlight of our trip, Anne and Tony went above and beyond to make our 40th anniversary really special. Really amazing, really special location!
Very relaxing and quiet, a great place to get away from everything. We plan on coming back when we have more time. Tony the care taker is amazing, so nice and thoughtful!
Spectacular place to escape fromThe daily grind and reconnect. The property is beautiful and the cabin was adorable and the views are amazing. Thank you for sharing your amazing property.
Wonderful homey comfy place. We had rain for two full days of our stay and our woodpile was kept filled. Great place for the dog. We would love to return in another season, to see the gardens in full bloom. The river was wonderful though the shore is all pretty good sized rocks. No sand but there is a large lawn above for sitting and sunning when it finally came out.
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin, thank you so much for sharing your home. Everything was great, the caretaker Tony and his wife were very attentive to anything we needed. Thank you so much, we would definitely stay again.

Thanks Stacey! We hope you can make it out again. You were a pleasure to host.
The property was beautiful, quiet and serene. Gardens were extremely well maintained.Loved the little rock house - it could use updating with new mattresses upstairs and down (the downstairs one is very thin and the metal bars hit in your back making sleep almost impossible) and the bath towels are literally thread bare. The bathtub as well as the toilet are raised up and for older persons a bit of a challenge for older persons. (Probably so they can drain to the septic tank) There are plenty of dishes pots and pans for cooking - everything was very clean.

Thank you for letting me know about the beds. They are next in line for replacing. Sounds like a few towels are also ready to be retired. It really is a one of a kind, beautiful spot by the river.
Beautiful property, wonderful wood stove, very comfortable bed, best tub! We loved our stay there. It was in the beinning of Jan, rained the whole time. Can only imagin how wonderful it would be in the warmer months!!
This cottage was amazing for our christmas stay. When we arrived they had a fire blazing keeping the whole place toasty. The views and drive in are awesome if you're into seclusion and frost blue rivers. The cottage itself was very nice and we loved the loft bedroom upstairs.
Had a fantastic stay arrived late. The caretakers were fantastic and very nice people who got me set up. Marci the owner was excellent with the reservation process. I will be back with the family.
We fell absolutely in love with the property and the home. Everything was so clean and inviting! We were greeted by very nice people who are also just as welcoming definitely going to book again absolutely worth it I didn't want to go home
The Chetco River Inn was absolutely perfect for our family reunion. We reserved both the main lodge and the cottage and it was fantastic! Ann and Tony (the caretakers) were wonderful to work with! The property is private and well situated on the Chetco River. We brought several inflatables to use on the river and it resulted in hours of fun! We highly recommend this property!!
To say that this place is a dream is an understatement. We only had one night in Brookings, but I wish we could have stayed a week or more. The cabin has all amenities we really needed, and the setting is so serene and unbelievably beautiful. The drive in was just as amazing. We will most definitely be back!
We loved it at the Chetco Cottage! Brought our dirt bikes and went riding up into the hills for hours. The cottage is quaint and comfortable. We slept well and enjoyed the solitude and being unplugged from the world.
Thank you,
Jamie and Chrissy
