The studio was very accommodating for my husband and me. Seeing all of the pottery was interesting. It was quiet, except for the occasional train going by, but it was in the distance. The beach and activities are within a several block walking distance. The shops were fun to go through and there are many restaurant choices.

Great for a quick stay. Easy access to several other small towns; Ocean spring Springs, Long Beach, and Pass Christiaan. Neighborhood is located away from the busy beach boulevard and very quiet. We would stay there on our next visit.

This hidden little studio is so comfortable and just a few blocks from the beach. Every morning my dog and I took a beautiful walk through the quiet and quaint neighborhood. I love the atmosphere and the hosts are so kind and helpful. I was surrounded by art with a comfortable bed and roomy bathroom. I’ll be back!

Joy was a gracious, kind and thoughtful host. I had everything I needed. The property is modern, comfortable and well located for what I wanted to do: explore and enjoy Bay St. Louis. It's a block from the beach and the Washington pier and Boat Launch; the Historic Depot District and downtown are easy walks away. For exercise I walked to downtown, church, the Bay St. Louis Bridge, round trip to Waveland and up and down the streets intersecting S. Beach Boulevard. I dined at nearby resturants in the Depot District or downtown and had ice cream every day at the Creole Creamery - favorite flavor is Brown Butter Pecan. I conveniently had use of the washer and dryer on the back porch of the other cottage. My stay in Bay St. Louis was pleasantly memorable.

Originally from New Orleans, I discovered Bay St Louis while visiting a friend in 1990 and knew right away that this gem would be home. I am a retired teacher, a Director of Music and an avid Harley rider. It is my pleasure to welcome guests and have them discover this unique and diverse small town we call "A Place Apart".

Why they chose this property

My art studio is located at the rear of a rather large city home plot. Your parking spot will place you closest to a walking path leading to the studio where you can relax securely within a completely fenced in yard. A safe four block walk gets you to shopping and restaurants and beach access is even closer. As you walk, you will be greeted by friendly neighbors as they walk their dogs and enjoy this lovely neighborhood. We are a golf cart community so you may want to reserve one before coming. Ask Joy for recommendations!

What makes this property unique

My Art Studio provides a unique opportunity to stay in a working pottery studio and still have all the privacy and comforts of a 900 square foot home. In addition to a full inside bathroom, there is an outdoor shower for your entertainment! The pond in front of the studio will provide you with a frog "Chorus" when it rains and the canopy of trees will give you a feeling of spiritual departure from the ordinary.
