Featuring 3 bedrooms all with king size beds, and an upper loft with 3 queens and 1 twin bed, 4.5 bathrooms, and 1290 ft of frontage on Lake Mecosta, The Peninsula Lake house is just what you're looking for. During your stay you can enjoy three stories of lake views, huge kitchen with custom cabinetry, marble entry, parquet dining, and a wood burning fireplace. The top floor studio/bedroom has a bird's eye view of the forest and the lake that surrounds the property. Sliders are everywhere and lead to the outside patio and decks. A boathouse with indoor water access sits beside the home, and there's also a garage with parking. The lawn and garden area is landscaped to await your next party or just a relaxing weekend. Located minutes away from St. Ive's and Tullymore golf course, this is also an affordable golf retreat with friends!

Never lets us down

We have stayed at this property 3 times now and it never disappoints. So much room for everyone and never ending activities to try - kayaks, paddle board, lawn games, board games, etc. and you can’t forget the massage chair!

Best spot in the lake!

We had an excellent family vacation. House was located on the best part of the lake. So much space and great views of the lake from every room. Fun times swimming, boating, jet skiing, and creating family memories.

Lake Mecosta Frankenmuth house

Our stay was amazing. Great place for families with kids of all ages. Perfect location. Had all the amenities and toys and recreational stuff for the adults and kids of all ages. Only had to bring food and clothes. Can’t wait for next year.

Gorgeous lake house

12 of us from 13 - 70+ stayed a week. Lovely lake, plenty of water toys including kayaks and floating. The main floor has 2 bedrooms which was perfect for us older folks and the upstairs was fabulous for all the teenagers. Plenty of space for all ages with games & toys. We hope to stay again.

Great house in the lake

This spacious property with a wonderful outdoor area and amenities was well-equipped for our family of 10. Only one room is air conditioned, but we lucked out with the weather. This is a unique house with 3 floors of big spaces. It’s a great place for everyone.

Wonderful family compound!

This quirky, delightful house has been dubbed "The Gingerbread House" by many that see it. It accommodated this Grandma and Grandpa and all our grandkids very comfortably. We were delighted to find a high chair and a pack n play for the little one and the older kids had a blast playing lakeside. The kitchen is outfitted very well and huge dining room table easily sat us all.

A very unique property

We stayed with our kids and grandkids for six days at the "Weasely House" (dubbed that by our daughter, who loves Harry Potter). This house is totally unique and magical! There was plenty of room for all 13 of us and the kids had a great time playing in the sand and in the water. Our 4 year old grandson was excited to fish from the dock and we adults enjoyed the firepit in the evening. The house and property exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend staying here!

Just Like Home!

Having grown up on neighboring Blue Lake, I was looking for a nearby property for my entire family of 8, including my adult kids and grandkids. I immediately recognized this unique lakefront home as one we had boated past many times as kids! We wanted a spot with easy lake access, and the sandy beach was perfect for the kids. The boathouse if full of toys, the house is stocked with everything needed for a family vacation, and we even invited all of the cousins and had a little birthday BBQ party for our 90-year-old Mom. It was a Michigan Summer Dream come true.

Highly recommend!

The home was impeccable when we arrived. We had a little trouble with the WiFi but Larry was great and it was up and working. Our grandkids never asked for any “screen” time as they were outside in the paddle boats, kayaks,looking for frogs and fishing. This was a perfect place for our three families to enjoy Michigan. The adults “found” the wineries and other spots. 11 days of being back in the area. It was well worth the 1790 miles that my husband and I drove. An absolute do over for this gang from Nevada and Utah.

A piece of Paradise!

If you are looking for a beautiful spacious house away from it all with the lake to enjoy all around you your search is over! This place was the best rental we have ever had! We had 5 adults and 3 kids ages 7, 4, and almost 2. We all enjoyed everything this home offers. There were toys and books and lots of games. Puzzles. The all body massage chair was a hit. Beach area was well used by the kids. Location is very relaxing. Kitchen had everything! We used the kayaks and paddle boat paddle board were fun. Kids enjoyed catching blue gills off the dock. We definitely want to return! Brought our boat and spent time on the water tubing. It was fun to take the "channels" to get to Blue Lake and Round Lake! Absolutely great place to create family vacay memories for 2024!

Quite the place

! Clearly the unique property, plentiful amenities, and responsive owners all combine to make this lake house a worthwhile family vacation destination. The 16 existing VRBO reviews are filled with accolades that are deserved and there is no value in my repeating them other than to highlight a few things: felt secluded and private, great views, plenty of room, and kids loved having their own floor. However, there are other easily addressed considerations that prevent me from granting the Peninsula Lake House a 5-star assessment: being without central a/c the comfort in the home depends on cross ventilation which is hampered by lack of screens on some lower level windows (kitchen, 1st floor front bedroom); large hole in one of the sliding door screens that permitted bugs to enter home in the evening; And, we were greeted with a yard peppered with goose droppings that presented challenges for adults as well as 5 young grandchildren….it took considerable effort to sufficiently rid the yard of the “stuff”. We would welcome the opportunity to return but would avoid the potential hot weather of mid/late summer.

Great vacation home!!!

What a wonderful unique lake house! We had a great family vacation. Our 3 granddaughters loved the loft with the queen beds and the upstairs kitchen table to play games on. All the kids loved the water. Kayaking, paddle boating & paddle board! The launch pod was an added bonus! We enjoyed fishing and looking for toads(grandsons especially). There was so much to do the kids didn’t really want to leave ! Laura was a great host and quick to respond to any questions. Lots of great memories made in Michigan!

Great family get away!

We had two families that enjoyed our stay here. The house was so fun and had more than enough room for 11 people. The pictures do not do this place justice. We traveled with 4 adults and 7 kids. The kids enjoyed the house, the yard games and if course the water! The beach was great. Easy to get in and out of the water and shallow enough for little ones. We were very thankful to have the opportunity to use the kayaks and paddle board, which allowed many of use to enjoy the lake even more. The house! Wow! What a unique place. I swear we were still finding new things even on our last day. The space is used to the fullest and allowed everyone to spread out and not feel like we were on top of one another. Kids got to watch what they wanted in an upstairs TV, while the adults made use of the main level TV. We enjoyed having multiple bathrooms too, made showers quick and efficient. I think the loft was my favorite for the kids as they all had a space to themselves. Laura was helpful too, answering questions quickly when we had them. We do hope to come back in the future. Beautiful property and lake home.

This vacation lake home was perfect for a wonderful vacation with our children and grandchildren. The lake provided hours of laughter and fun with paddle boats, kayaks, paddle board. The home had just the right space for quiet times, sleeping and togetherness. The kitchen was very well supplied. We loved evenings around the fire!! Thank-you for sharing your lovely lake home.

Vacations bring families together and we hope our home can bring you as much joy as it does us! Enjoy the 4,199 sq ft of open space inside, or spend your time outdoors on the 2.87 acre peninsula. The lake is great for fishing, water sports, and other fun activities. Included in your stay are also 4 kayaks, an outdoor fire pit, a paddlebaord, paddle boat, board games, some children toys, and other outdoor activities. Nearby is a local grocery store, pizzeria, ice cream shop, and restaurants all within 2 miles.
