What makes this property unique
My parents bought this property in late 1967 (when the water levels were at an all time low) and built the cottage the following spring/summer. My Dad (newly out of architecture school) designed the cottage (along with the other cottage just down the road). Over the years there have been some additions and changes, but nothing too drastic until the fall of 2019. Water levels were sprinting towards an all time high. And before we could build a new seawall to protect the cottage, the high waves in November did catastrophic damage, necessitating a 3 year complete overhaul/renovation. This allowed us to add the whole lower level (2 additional bedrooms, a bath and a sitting area) In addition, we added 3 new outside deck areas. It looks different than it did originally, but I think my son and I did a good job of keeping the feeling of the "old" cottage.
