About the host
Hosted by Ann Zender
We’ve owned and run Villa Saint Maxime for many years and live locally, so this isn’t just a rental to us, it’s our dream getaway that we share. We care a lot about the small details that make a stay feel easy and relaxed: clear communication before you arrive, a warm welcome, and being available if you need anything while still giving you complete privacy.
We know the area very well and are happy to help with practical things (transfers, chefs, guides, restaurant bookings) or simple recommendations if you want them. Our goal is for you to feel that everything important has been taken care of, so you can just settle in, enjoy the house and make the most of your time on the Riviera.

Why they chose this property
We love this location because it gives you the best of the Riviera without the crowds. Villa Saint Maxime sits just below the medieval village of Saint‑Paul‑de‑Vence, so you can walk up in a few minutes for galleries, cafés and dinner, then come back to the peace and privacy of your own grounds with wide open views to the sea.
You’re close to everything (Nice, Antibes, Cannes, Monaco and the beaches are an easy drive), but when you’re at the villa it feels quiet, green and secluded. It’s a place where you can start the day by the pool, wander into the village in the afternoon and finish with an al fresco dinner under the sky, hearing only the church bells and the cicadas.

What makes this property unique
Villa Saint Maxime is unique because it feels like a private, design‑led retreat in one of the Riviera’s most historic villages. The house itself is architect‑designed with pale stone, Carrara marble and a dramatic retractable glass roof that makes the main living area feel almost like the deck of a ship, with a telescope to look out over the valley and the Mediterranean.
Outside, you have one of the largest private pools in the area, a pétanque court in the garden and extensive terraces with wide, uninterrupted views to the sea, all within walking distance of Saint‑Paul‑de‑Vence. On the lower level there’s a cosy home‑cinema area for movie nights, so you can spend your days exploring the coast and your evenings relaxing together at home in a setting that feels both special and very private.
